You'll find it at the ultimate Taqueria in Vallejo when you visit La Piñata Taqueria. I paid exactly $20 (after tax) for a ridiculously sized burrito that included EXTRA ASADA and some avocado, that as a whole, was nothing to laugh at. In 2026, this might be the ultimate deal you will come across without the requirement of a coupon. Parking is readily available, and you'll notice there's always people waiting for food: a sign the food is worth coming for. My food came with a small complimentary side of pickled carrots and peppers, some onions, two salsas, and a small bag of chips. This really truly is the best in Vallejo.

I used to come here after school exams for burritos and tacos. You can't go wrong with either, but I highly recommend the suadero, their rose meat. It is easily the best thing on the menu. The burritos used to be about 12 dollars and are now around 16, but the quality and portion still make it worth it. I recently came back after about a year and it tasted exactly the same. Their service is always quick despite the long line of people there. Their complimentary pickled onions, grilled onions, and carrots along with their homemade sauces really take the burritos and tacos to another level. They have added more seating so you can eat there fresh and hot. Parking is still tight with only a few spots nearby, but it is worth it for the food.

Not kidding, even their fries are top notch. Super friendly people running the place too. Definitely give this place a shot!

The line was considerably long around 7:30 p.m. so it took a while for us to order and receive our food. I like that the tacos here are single tortilla -- as opposed to double tortillas, so the filling to tortilla ratio feels a lot more balanced. For both tacos, the meat is incredibly tender and flavorful. Although a bunch of sauces and garnishes are provided, the taco was good enough on its own. Of the sauces we received, my favorites to add was a squeeze of lime and the red sauce, which had a nice smokey Chipotle flavor and wasn't overly spicy. My friend ordered a quesadilla and it was absolutely massive! I definitely would only recommending ordering a quesadilla if you're sharing it, or if you're coming with a massive appetite. Overall, Tacos El Sazón Oaxaqueño was a nice gem we randomly stumbled upon while routing to In-N-Out for burgers. Between the two, I would certainly save my stomach space for tacos from Tacos El Sazón Oaxaqueño next time.

La Joya Taco Truck has been on my radar for years. I finally tried it for the first time last year,…read moreand since then it has become one of my go-to taco trucks in Vallejo. The food is very, very good, the prices are reasonable, and the portions you get are worth it. It's kind of hard to miss when driving by, but they also have a small sign near the street letting you know they're there. I had known about this taco truck for years but never stopped until last year, and now I wish I had gone sooner. I ordered a super burrito and a few tacos. One thing I really like is that they actually list the length of their burritos on the menu. That's a nice touch because sometimes you order a "super burrito" somewhere else and end up with something small. Here, you know exactly what you're getting. Out of all the taco trucks in Vallejo, this is easily one of my top three burrito trucks. I try not to burn myself out eating at the same place too often, so I like switching between favorites, and this is definitely one I keep coming back to. I almost always get the steak burrito. One thing I really love is the pico de gallo they use. They use red onions, which gives it a nice touch, and every time I get it, I can really taste the cilantro in the pico de gallo throughout the burrito. The steak and chicken street tacos were also really good but the burrito is always my favorite! Parking is never an issue because they share a parking lot with an auto body shop during off-hours, so there's usually plenty of space. They also have cones to help guide cars entering and exiting the lot. When your food is ready, they call your order number over the microphone/intercom system, then ask if you want red or green sauce and chips. Overall, I've always had a great experience here. If you're in Vallejo and looking for a good taco truck, I definitely recommend giving this place a try.

I went with their Southern Fried Chicken Sandwich that came with criss-cut fries. The sandwich was amazing as it featured two crispy, juicy chicken strips, lettuce, pickles, and special sauce. Such great flavor; and the crispness of the chicken was excellent. The fries were pretty nice and well seasoned. I'm not in Vallejo often, but would definitely consider them again next time I'm here. And from the looks of their menu, they seem to have more quality items to choose from.

I came in around 4pm during their week-long $2 taco special, so it was pretty busy. The lobby is a bit small, but they have a decent-sized parking lot along with street parking. They also have an outdoor eating area with a few benches and a covered top, which I really like! Like I mentioned, the lobby is on the smaller side, but I think it works perfectly for their walk-up-and-order style of service. The decor is simple but still has a fun and lively feel to it. Their menu has a good variety, just like their food truck--and maybe even more? I could be wrong. LOL. The staff was super nice, and they seemed pretty quick with getting everyone's orders out, especially considering how busy they were. The one thing I think they could improve is adding some type of shade or pull-down window covering to block out the sun, and maybe some A/C if they don't already have it. The sun was BEAMING directly into the lobby, and since the space is already pretty small, it got quite hot inside while we waited to order and for our food to come out. Definitely something that would make waiting inside a lot more comfortable, especially on warmer days. Overall, the food was good per usual, and I'm happy to see Taqueria El Pelayo now has a brick-and-mortar location! I definitely look forward to coming back for more good eats.

We both had long days at work so he stopped by on his way home to grab dinner. Recently my go-to has been their crunchy asada tacos so he grabbed me two of them, and confirmed that he wanted everything on them (cheese, onion and cilantro). When he got home we saw that my tacos were plain- not what he ordered. He called them to let them know of the issue and they told him that he could get drive the 15 minutes back to the truck and pick up sides of onion and cilantro. Bringing the tacos that they messed up on and getting it replaced with a fresh correct order was not an option. THEY didn't make the tacos as advertised/ordered, and their solution to fixing the error THAT THEY MADE was for the customer to drive back to the truck to get the toppings that THEY forgot. After using gas and spending time going back to the truck for the toppings, they then expected us drive back home and sprinkle them on cold old tacos. Keep in mind that these tacos are six dollars each. To add more insult to injury they cut costs by skimping on the cheese. This is a dish that I've ordered quite a few times so I know how it usually looks. This time around it looks like they sprinkled it on the corner of one of the tacos to give that melted/crusty cheese look, but there was barely any inside. He said there were people working that he hadn't seen there before so I'm not sure if that's what's contributing to the piss poor service, but whatever the case the solution that they gave for an error that they made is ridiculous.
