This used to be the gold standard for pizza. This was our go to spot growing up for 30 ish years. Before there was even an upstairs. Something has changed with the recipe and the crust is horrible now. I'm not sure what changed or why you changed it , but you really need to put back to the original recipes of stuff. The staff doesn't seem to even care. It's also not as clean as it used to be. Attention to detail is totally gone. So disappointing to see what it's become. read more

Have eaten here many times while passing through for work. This the first time I ordered online for delivery to the hotel. When I got my email confirmation it didn't show the all the information I entered so I called to confirm the info. The person who was very friendly and she confirmed that they had all the correct information. The person who delivered was very friendly and we exchanged some small talk and laughs. Our friends got stuck in the blizzard on the way up, but we made it through and were all alone on Christmas Eve eve. So we looked on Yelp and found this really tempting place. The hours said open till 9p, so we headed on that way. Hopefully we didn't cause them too much trouble because they were cleaning and shutting off lights at 8p (maybe thanks to weather?), but they were never anything but inviting and kind to us! The 6-inch personal size was perfect for a couple wanting to try more than one flavor without getting too heavy. The crusts were great -not too soft, but not the hard, gum-cutting monsters you get with some thin crusts. Loved the Lucky Chicken pizza. Sometimes it's nice to be reminded about how complex pizza can be and this was one of those times. The combination of sweet and savory was just what we were hoping for when we read the description. I'm glad the Cup and Char pizza was on special this month because that ranks among the favorite pepperoni pizzas I've ever had. Also the sauce was peppery, which I am a BIG fan of. Okay, we need to talk about the onion straws. Zesty and crispy were melt-in-your-mouth qualities. Salty as hell, so drink plenty of fluids ;) We might have to come back for lunch before we skip town after the Holidays! Thanks for a great experience after our plans changed! read more

We ate here tonight after a long day. It was so good! And the price for our meal was crazy good! The staff could not have been friendlier and really seemed to enjoy their workplace. Just moved to town a month ago and have already eaten here or gotten takeout many times. (The Fiesty Pig is my favorite!) We have lived all over the country, including L.A., and I can honestly say this is some of the best pizza I've ever had. I came all the way to Minnesota from Ohio to get Raffety's pizza... (Not really, but I have known about this place for a while now). And I was very excited to go! My friend, who is a local to Brainerd, said that Rafferty's was her favorite, and I can see why so! It's such a cozy family place. With two levels, there is plenty of seating inside. One cool thing that I was stoked to have here was their vegan Daiya cheese on their pizza! We got a medium pizza (about 20 dollars) with Daiya cheese, spinach, banana peppers, and zucchini, and it was great! I was very satisfied with the flavors and it was enough for dinner (and a snack later). Something that was so unique to me was the walls. All around the restaurant there are newspaper clippings of things that have happened in the past in the Brainerd-Baxter area, as well as murals of some of the history. It's so cool to be able to sit down and just look around and learn! It felt kind of like I was set back in time a little bit. Great pizza, great service, great place. read more

A taco pizza?! Had to give it a try after the cashier at Fleet Farm raved about it when the bf asked if she heard of Rafferty's. Oooh it was so good! Loved the taco chips on the top! Awesome pizza here!! When we think pizza we think raffertys!! They also have other items on the menu which is nice! They have a HUGE party pizza, and when I say huge, I mean it! Great for parties!! They have lots of seating and a nice atmosphere! Free wifi! You can watch as they throw your pizza in their big fire oven! Pretty cool! read more

3 of the employees we talked to were rude and careless. They forgot a whole pizza and questioned us heavily even after showing recipes 3 times. When we asked what sauces were available, we got the response, "whatever," and then received 0/4 sauces. The pizza was fine, but nothing worth the service. There is way better in the area. read more

Excellent service. Sausage mushroom pizza is the best I've ever had. Can't stop myself from eating the whole medium 'za--- way too darn good. Love this location-- nicer than Nisswa, more room yet cozy and classy. Good early bird specials (end at 4). This is probably my favorite pizza place though a little pricey but worth the cost we order two 10 inch pizzas it's best for the money the pizza I usually go for is a cheeseburger but replace the pickles with pineapple. Sitting up top is great you're surrounded by pictures of the local town from different years. read more

I have been coming to Rafferty's ever since they first opened. I was in college and I use to go there to study and eat lunch. Some days I ate 2 meals there. This is my favorite place to eat. Eating at Rafferty's in the Westgate Mall during my youth and being a local in the area this was my favorite place to eat. Nothing came close to eating a piece of Rafferty's pizza. Savory and delicious it was always on point every time you took a bite. After moving away and traveling the world about 4 or 5 times it was always on my mind. I took my wife to this restaurant 3 years ago with my parents and she absolutely loved it. Moving from Texas, we frequented the Austin, Texas area which is known to be the food and music capital of the world. My wife remember that pizza from Rafferty's and that says something. So today the 11th of June, 2016 we chose to eat at Rafferty's in the Westgate Mall. With high expectations we hoped it was going to be good, like we remembered it. So we ordered two small side salads, a small of the pizza of the month which was the cheeseburger pizza, two drinks, and a side order of sweet potato fries. The same potatoes fries came fast and they were delicious like we always remember them to be. As my wife reached for a napkin she noticed that there something moving in the parmesan cheese the sprinkler. I picked it up and nonetheless it was a fruit fly. So I quickly exchanged it with a new one from the staff. Then we got our side salads. Taking my first bite from the salad it was okay. The next bite however, I took I noticed that a fruit fly had flown out of salad I was about to eat that was on my fork. I stopped my wife from eating her salad too because I saw a fruit fly, fly out of her salad too. I took my wife's and my salads back to the manager and was given our money back. THE STAFF DIDN'T EVEN APOLOGIZE, THEY LOOKED AND TREATED THE SITUATION AS IF IT WAS A REGULAR EVENT THERE. I am extremely disappointed. The cleanliness of the restaurant and quality of the staff, food, and overall look of the restraunt has gone down hill fast in three years. I will not recommend Rafferty's anyone anymore. Sad, sad, sad, Rafferty's used to be the best. read more
