To start off our evening, we arrived a little early for our reservation, but the hostess didn't skip a beat and promptly led us to our table. The restaurant was dimly lit, with large whiskey barrels tastefully scattered throughout the space. The ambiance felt dressy casual with a touch of farmhouse charm, complemented by a curated country music playlist serenading us throughout the evening. Since we had mentioned when making our reservation that we were celebrating our anniversary, both the hostess and our waiter greeted us with a warm "Happy Anniversary" and surprised us with two complimentary glasses of champagne. It was a very thoughtful touch and set the evening off to a great start. For drinks, I ordered the Buffalo Trace whiskey flight, while my wife chose a shrub, which is a sweet fruity cocktail with a hint of vinegar (like apple cider vinegar or kombucha). We both thoroughly enjoyed our drinks. To start, we ordered the corn chowder with bone marrow, which was such a unique and incredibly delicious experience for both of us. You scrape the bone marrow directly into the soup, adding richness to both the flavor and texture, which were already excellent. For our entree, we shared the ribeye steak with duck fat fingerling potatoes, and it was more than enough food for the two of us. The steak was cooked to perfection and, surprisingly, had very little fat. The duck fat potatoes were soft, flavorful, and the perfect complement to the meal. Stunned. Corn chowder with bone marrow was a first for us and so good. Get the pork rib chop; huge portion with the fat cap on it, intensity balanced by the milder corn polenta. Also amazing were the ribeye and the sautéed mushrooms. Service impeccable, vibe pitch perfect with soul music gradually getting more laid back as closing hour approaches. Aaaaand you can go ahead and skip this place. 1st, I indicated that this meal was in celebration of my birthday and not a single comment about my celebration was made. Though I heard other peoples tables getting celebrated for various things. (A minor complaint compared to a poor meal, but worth noting.) 2nd, the food was truly mid at best. Yall should look at the way Campo does their pickle jar.), the Santa Fe Spicy Hot chicken and waffles (zero spice. ZERO SPICE. Where is the hot sauce guys?!), the snapper with calabacitas (this is not an exaggeration, but it was TWO slices of zuchinni and the rest was over cooked chopped onion and hominy with zero color. And the rice was literally "Butter Rice". Are we serving sides for toddlers now? Where is the flavor? ), and the outrageously dry Kentucky Butter Cake. So dry I struggled to swallow it, and I am a dessert girl through and through, I'll basically eat anything with sugar, but this was so tough to stomach. In addition, our server was a new gal being trained and she was pretty inattentive. Late to take orders, and very late to give us our check after our sad bland meal with my husband desperately trying to make eye contact so we can get the heck out of here. My mocktail was the highlight of the meal, but I think it's easy to see that the rest was a bust. The service was excellent as they have many people in addition to your waiter pouring water, clearing plates, etc. It does not have a large menu but the food was delicious. We had charred snapper, shrimp, corn chowder, etc. Before you go, I would recommend you look at the menu and make sure there are things that you would enjoy. Our best meal in Santa Fe! Every course was incredibly good, I wish we had a spot like this in LA and am honestly surprised this restaurant isn't on more "best of Santa Fe" lists. We started with the farm greens, pork belly, and brussel sprouts. I have never raved so much over a salad but the flavors were so good I almost ordered a second one for the table. My partner and I shared the ribeye for our main and was blown away by the quality and flavor. For dessert we had the churros (which are gluten free!!) and they were so delicious. The decor and ambiance at this place are great. The bar menu is VERY bourbon heavy. The corn chowder was tasty and they offer a half-shot of whiskey using the bone as a luge after you finish the marrow. My husband's steak was excellent. I ordered one of the fish dishes but was concerned that the blackened seasoning might be too spicy for me and asked to skip that. While the sides were still good, the kitchen apparently took my request to mean that I wanted NO seasoning on the fish. That was disappointing but likely was just a misunderstanding. My new favorite restaurant in Santa Fe. So many great places and for some reason we haven't been here before! You know we sat at the bar and had the best service from Ashley. The drinks flowed with amazing skill and attention. Starting with the Fried Green tomatoes with pimento cheese is a must. I had the Roasted Beet salad that had some kind of magical dressing that had me questioning having a second one instead of an entree. It was that good! I then had the trout that was light and perfectly balanced and cooked to perfection. Dan had the pork chop that was an ample portion that did not disappoint. To add to the amazing food and service, the music was the chefs personal Pandora Station that we downloaded. This restaurant has the perfect ambience to go with the perfect night! I've eaten at quite a few exceptional restaurants in Santa Fe so my expectations were set fairly high. We started with the southern fried tomatoes and corn chowder. The tomatoes tasted more like fried pickles. The shredded pepper garnish had more flavor than the tomatoes and the batter that they were coated in. The corn chowder was probably the best dish I tasted that evening. Good consistency, mild richness, a little sweet and the smoked bone marrow complimented it well by adding a savory touch. For my entrée I ordered the lamb rib chops. I was disappointed because I expected better quality. Every bite was excessively fatty, while the whipped feta and lemon potatoes accompanying the lamb were overly tangy. The sharp lemon flavor in addition to the tart feta overpowered the lamb. While my companion enjoyed his pan-fried trout; to me most of the flavors that evening were unbalanced and the poor quality of my lamb was off-putting. I don't think I will be returning. Pros: - Server was very attentive - Best for dinner with friends Cons: - This is supposed to be a southern style restaurant, but I couldn't find the southern influence in any of the dishes I had that evening. - Ambience was nice, however we were sat at a table that was awkwardly placed in the main aisle (felt like I was sitting on I-95). A truly delightful evening! My husband and I were visiting from Los Angeles for my birthday. We made reservations mentioning it was my birthday, and several staff members wished me a happy birthday; they also brought out a glass of champagne for us to toast with. Service with our server Ashley was excellent - just the right amount of time and check-ins for conversation to breathe, for drinks and appetizers to be enjoyed, and for the dinner course to arrive on time. Many restaurants sometimes rush courses or drinks, compressing the time and squashing conversation; I really appreciated having enough time to fully enjoy everything! Ambiance was lovely, between moody lighting (but not so dark you couldn't read the menus or see your companion), rustic touches and quiet music that allowed for good conversation without having to shout. The food was absolutely incredible. We have a lot of excellent restaurants back home in Los Angeles but this was truly delightful. So many rich, well-paired touches with our dishes. The piñon vinaigrette and goat cheese softened the bitter notes of the roasted beets; the pickled jalapeño was biting and mellow both, rounded with the depth of bourbon; the crusts on the fried green tomatoes and the trout were perfectly crunchy without feeling greasy or heavy. The cocktails were so smooth; we tried two each and all were well-balanced and delicious. We rounded out the evening with the s'mores dessert; the dark chocolate's heaviness was balanced by the airy toasted marshmallow. I had the pan fried trout for main the fish is very thin piece and lack of flavor, it comes with green chili corn bake that's probably the best I have the entire meal. We had a side of duck fat potatoes they are well seasoned but couldn't taste the duck fat flavor. The dessert we shared the bourbon butter cake which is extra sweet. The service was awful. Our waitress was absence most of them time. Fished the dishes no one came to clean the table even there were couple other waiters around but didn't do anything. Fine dining but still laid back, you get an excellent meal with local, seasonally fresh ingredients which is why I felt my first visit in Autumn was much better than summer. Service can be on the slow side - our waitress disappeared to focus on larger tables (we were just two) but I am going to say this was a fluke because on first visit it was perfect. Highlights: - Green chile corn bake is a spicy corn bread which is so gooey and yummy it should be a main dish. - yellow corn polenta was so so, I think Joseph's does this dish better. - potato wedges cooked in duck fat make a great snack, the portion is just right so you don't fill up. - fried green tomatoes are excellent, highly recommend - American bison, had it both times as my main. I skipped an appetizer because I wanted dessert. For my entree I had the blackened snapper with broccolini and rice. It was delicious and a good amount of food. Everything was cooked perfectly and the rice had a distinct buttery flavor. My husband had the crab cake with sides and he enjoyed his meal as well. For dessert I had the gluten free churros and my husband had the butter cake. The churros were nice and warm, crunchy outside and the caramel sauce was my favorite out of the 3 dipping sauces. I started with a farm greens salad and although it was presented beautifully, the vinaigrette was not mixed evenly. Some of the bites were so strong with salad dressing and this establishment loves to use vinegar. The collard greens were inedible to us because of all the acidity. When we told the waiter we didn't care for these, he said "yeah you either love them or hate them" and took them away without offering anything else. For my entree, I had the Pan Fried Trout which didn't have a lot of flavor. It did however have tons of fish bones but they batter it with cornmeal to try and disguise this. I was constantly pulling bones out of my mouth because I hated swallowing the sharp pieces. We mentioned this to the waiter and once again he brushed it off and said "the fish is very delicate and the bones can be eaten." It seemed like he was in a hurry to turn the table over since we weren't asked if we'd like anything else and brought out the check. We ended up walking over to Chomp to get some food from Chef Nath since we were still hungry and I don't think I'll be back to Radish & Rye. read more

We loved Radish & Rye. Visited Santa Fe on a girls trip and had a nice dinner here. We didn't realize it was a Whiskey bar, which turned about being great! The appetizers were phenomenal, we ended up ordering a second round of Brussels sprouts! The entrees were big enough to spilt between two people, and the dessert churros with the dipping sauces were great!
