Food was delicious! Service was excellent and our server was so nice! We just had spent time at Canyon St-Anne and went here based on prior reviews. I had the smoked meat sandwich and my sister and brother in law had the chicken club and fish and chips. One would think a place with such variety would be average at best but it really is a great find. We started with an order of onion rings and the portion was huge, hot and delicious. Joey was such a friendly server! The cook even greeted us when we arrived. They have French and English menus. My husband ordered the goat cheese burger (delicious!) with skinny fries and the best onion rings I've ever tasted. Joey brought us ketchup and mayo without having to ask. I ordered pasta with Alfredo sauce. It had LOTS of garlic and little sprigs if fresh watercress. Not much flavor even after I seasoned it with salt and pepper. The garlic bread was good though. What a pleasant surprise, after hiking in the Canyon, we stopped here for lunch. The food was incredible, the Smoked Meat Sandwich was super delish, tender, tasty, and legit. We were traveling and found this cafe on yelp. I had a delicious salad, fresh, homemade vinaigrette served in a chilled bowl, perfectly refreshing for a long car ride. Great place to eat. The portions are large and the service is great. I had the "Duo" radio salad with Hollywood Sunset pizza. Way to much delicious food. The salad comes with smoked meats and the dressing just sweet enough to counter the saltyness of the smoke meat. The pizza was California style so a little thick. Radio is one of the higher rated cafes in Beaupre, but I'm not sure why. They serve "Canadian" food ranging from poutine to pizza. Ate there twice, once for dinner and once for breakfast and the food was just okay. I ordered Fettuccine Alfredo and the sauce was watery. My companion ordered pizza and the meats were odd. Decent food near ski hill, we come here after a day of ski at mint-Sainte-Anne, ordered their 2 items platter starter, parmesan fondue and bruschetta (4/5), lobster pizza and Mojave pizza. This place looks pretty fancy from the outside. Looks like it could be in California, the atmosphere is very casual and laid back. Mostly a burger and pizza joint for the locals. We came here around 10 PM on a Friday night expecting this place to be hopping but it after like 10 minutes, the place was totally empty. Guess Quebec people dont party it up on the weekend. They dont have a menu for English speaking people so we had to make due with the French one but our waitress was willing to explain any questions we had. Initially, we had ordered tea and beer. The water for our tea was not hot so we had to ask for more water. When it came to ordering our meals, We had ordered a 20 inch vegetarian pizza and a hot chicken. I was the one who ordered the hot chicken and wanted to substitute rice with some veggies. The waitress said there had to be a $2 extra charge for a salad which I thought was agreed to but charged us $3 on the bill. Also the hot chicken seemed like a good deal for $13. Unfortunately, hot chicken in Quebec means thinly sliced chicken between 2 slices of thick white bread saturated in brown gravy that is poured over and green peas on top. The chef salad was good, I thought the presentation in like a boat dish was very cute- it consisted of tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, balsamic vinagarette, and candied trail mix. (dont expect to find anything healthy in Quebec). The veggie pizza looked good with tons of different kinds of veggies but the crust was HUGE compared to the pizza. It was a weird ratio. Overall, I would recommend this place if you are visit Quebec because there arent a lot of restaurants but stick to burgers and pizza and some sandwiches. read more

It depends on what you want. If you want 4-starred up-scaled food, you are at the wrong place. I want comfort food (checked) at reasonable prices (checked), in a casual yet civilized environment (checked), and the services is friendly, polite and efficient (checked). My friends and I came to Beaupre for a ski trip. It happened to be the Valentine weekend. All "nice" restaurants were fully booked. Radio Cafe took us in without a reservation. I was thankful. The little bistro pub was decorated with red hearts and little angels with a shooting arrow. Cute and romantic. We didn't opt for the Valentine weekend menu, and our English speaking waitress was so gracious and cool about it. At this point, they scored 5 stars for services. We ordered pizza, sandwiches, poutine, duck salad and calamari. The portion of all items was generous. My pizza was thin crusted, freshly baked with good cheese on top. I could finish only half, and doggy-bagged the other half as lunch for the next day. My friends all enjoyed their sandwiches and salad. We shared the poutine and calamari. The gravy on the poutine was delicious (i.e. creamy and salty). The calarmari was all right. If you must choose between the two as appetizer, I will advice you to choose the poutine over the calamari. It was a good meal after skiing. I won't hesitate returning if I am in the area. After many failed attempts of trying POUTINE I needed something familiar to eat. This place is delicious, as an avid traveler I was amused by the selection they had as Canada doesn't have the best foods...the pizza here was phenomenal it reminded me of italy as if it was made there and teleported into the pizza box. We ordered a pizza (pepperoni) the price depends on the size. The pepperoni was more of a salami but it was served UNDER the cheese. The crusty was delicious and soft (I have braces) so it made it easy for me to chew. The pizza is served on aluminum foil which conducts heat and keeps the pizza hot. We were told to visit here for "really good breakfast" and so we did. There aren't a lot of choices in the area, anyways. Radio Cafe is a bit of a drive away from Mont Sainte Anne. It's a big restaurant that serves all-day breakfast. Waitresses speak a little bit of English. Eggs, home fries, the usual. I didn't like their home fries... and I didn't like the beans they served (can of beans poured into a little jar, kind of gross). Sausages were too mushy and salty! Service was great. Food was satisfying. Breakfast size is equivalent to Cora's. Prices were disappointingly the same as Cora's too. read more

We regret going to Radio Cafe and are posting this review to warn off others who might be persuaded, as we were, by positive reviews on Yelp. Here's a bit on our experience: First, we waited 40 minutes only to be told that the kitchen had lost our order. Next, they found our order, but delivered steak (truly awful) to the table instead of the seafood dish I had ordered. My daughter ordered a burger and it was burnt to a crisp--inedible. The portions were gigantic, but none of what they provided tasted good. We left everything over. It just could not be eaten. What a waste of money and time. I was not impressed with anything outside of the service... The bench seat was very worn, and it was still damp from having been wiped, the floor needed paint, and there were flies even though we were indoors. The food was boring. Granted we ordered pretty standard fare, because we have fussy children, but there were no special touches I've experienced in other places--e.g. the smoked meat was good but it would have been better on a more tasty bun than on sliced white bread. We we're visiting Quebec searching for genalogie des famille and got hungry. This place was fantastic. Loved loved loved the Greek salad and chicken pasta. The poutine was delicious as well. The gravy wasn't too salty, which was nice. The portion sizes were fantastic . We would definitely come again to eat the poutine, the salads, the bruschetta and the pasta.
