Fun place. The bartender was very friendly and helpful. It was a hot day and hot inside although they had fans going. We sat outside - they have a small outdoor seating area. The dockside lemonade was quite good. My husband and daughter had the $5 shake which was excellent - would definitely get it next time. It is a pint of stout with a shot of espresso and topped with maple syrup. It was delicious. The place looks very 60s with dark interior and subtle lighting. The single bathroom needs help though. Will definitely be returning.

There are three main coffee shops in Burlington-- the artsy coffee shop, the hippie coffee shop, and the boring coffee shop (sometimes also referred to as the rude coffee shop). Radio Bean is the artsy coffee shop...and it was my favorite. The atmosphere is fantastic, there's almost always live music (and the Irish Sessions which is a Celtic instrument jam session is always a treat), the art on the walls is wonderful, and you can't beat it for personal, artsy touches. The wine rack is springs from a box spring, the tea-pot holders are hand made, as are all of the light fixtures. I also love the bike rack outside which is made to resemble a giant combination lock. One thing I will say is that on nights when the music is good it's so super packed that you can't even get in there, there are people sitting on the floor. They serve alcohol unlike the other coffee shops. In the summer it's a great spot for people watching and the OP (which is becoming oddly trendy) seems to have provide people to watch a plenty. Beware of open mic night.

I was looking for a place that played life music since moving from N.Y.C to Vermont. I was pleasantly surprised at the talent that night. It was a week night so it wasn't very packed but our service was exceptional. Our waitress was kind and gave us prompt service. The food was fresh and very good. (Healthy portions) I absolutely loved the chill vibe in this place. It's a very laid back relaxed atmosphere. Eclectic, funky, chill establishment to come to for great music and food. You won't be disappointed. Jeans & t-shirt is all you really need in this place. I'm looking forward to my next visit. I love unpretentious places!!!

This is an awesome little place to stop in for whatever kind of drink, anytime. The "Five Dollar Shake" is great, try it! And they have a great warm cocktail drink menu -- the Cider something was good! And if you're lucky you'll catch some good tunes happening here too! Definitely a good go-to spot! Cheers!

Nothing great at the restaurant. so-so tacos, so-so salads, so so fries etc. I like the scene next door, when they have good music.

This place is a bar/coffee shop/cafe/performance space with the feel of a squat. I mean that in the best possible way.

I'd recommend the "Five Dollar Shake" or a Hot Toddy for late night, but this place has great coffee and espresso drinks as well.

We both ordered the eggnog mudslide, a holiday special, which were served quickly and were very delicious. The night we went was their weekly karaoke night which we didn't know ahead of time, but it was fun! It seems to be a group of regulars who like to sing and the vibe was fun and laid back. The employee running karaoke was super nice and friendly and overall the whole place had really good vibes. I think we'll definitely be back next time we visit Burlington!

We visited last night and it happened to be during Karaoke time. The crowd was super chill, friendly, and very supportive of the singers. Everyone was having a great time and the vibe was pretty amazing, kind of felt like a speakeasy. There were people sitting at the bar, people clapping in the seats in front of the stage, and people knitting in the back. There were empty tables last night, but from what I read, it can get pretty crowded here. We ordered the Mudslides and they were really good, but a little too icy. Service was friendly and we felt very comfortable here. Loved the decor with the historic photos, the colored lights and the comfortable old style chairs. We'll be back on our next visit to Burlington!

I wanted this to be special. I wanted it to excel. It let me down in so many ways. Five people,…read morefour appetisers, two wine and one beer, and four main courses. I was lured here because someone said it was better than Bistro de Margo; it was not. Service was good from the server and poor from the bus boys and kitchen. The kitchen failed in many ways. Could I give it fractional scorse it would be 2.6. The server was good and had a phenomenal memory to take all our orders with no notes. Wow! The three appetizers were delivered out of order. One came. Fast forward 20 minutes; the remaining two came out. The appetizer dishes were never cleared. They hung around until we decided not to have desert! The appetizers were underwhelming; how can you screw up a Caesar salad? The main courses disappointed in many ways. The dishes were serverd luke warm. Mussels were dehydrated on top of the heap and obvioulsy sat under a heat map. The steaks were cooked well but accompaniments were cold, cool, or barely warm; take your pick none were appetizing. The plates were stone cold which didn't help. Finally after dinner was served and eaten and plates cleared for deserts we did not order the remaining plates and debis were cleared from the table. Not good. Not professional. Not worth the money. The wines were good. The beer was good. Dinner came to $275 plus another $60 tip. It wasn't worth it. There is clealry issues in the kitchen and staff. They were simply not into it. I would not come back. If you want a French dinner look elsewhere or just don't try that in Burlington.
