    Hazelnut Cappuccino's

While visiting Vermont we stopped into this little coffee shop for some Hazelnut Cappuccino's! The cappuccino's were great! Knocking a few stars due to my experience here at the coffee shop. I walk in and the ladies working did not greet me. No hello. No welcome. There was a man standing off to the side in a conversation with an older gentleman. Suddenly, one of the barista's by the name of Sky suddenly snapped at the older man saying "get over here and pay for your drink" in such a rude and disrespectful tone, I couldn't even believe my ears! I was next to place my order and Sky, the barista, was continual unkind. I hope whoever owns this business has a nice talking to with Sky. You don't treat people like that and certainly not elderly people. Sky, learn some kindness!

Best cappuccino I think I've ever had... coming from someone who lives in nyc!! My partner and I came to view the eclipse in this amazing town in Vermont and we couldn't have been happier when greeted with this wonderful gem of a coffee shop. ALSO one of the best blueberry muffins I've ever had, could definitely tell it was homemade. Amazing barista's as well, I wish I could write more!

Village wine and coffee: the perfect little shop! Fueling my morning caffeine and carrying a diverse array of wines and a special shout out to their amazing wine tastings! Nestled in the heart of Shelburne center, this is defiantly the local favorite. The rustic feel and charm when you walk in is inviting and cozy. The baristas are always friendly, asking all the questions I forget need to be answered before crafting drinks. I highly recommended any of the pastries at the counter, especially the scones! My most recent love for Village Wine and Coffee has been their Friday night wine tastings. The first night we went I was blown away by the wine selection, the ability that our server was able to articulate the different wines, regions and flavors as well as parings (or what not to eat so as to truly experience the wines). We also queued in that the tastings are 'bring your own food' as groups streamed in throughout the night with bowls of him made pasta, cheese plates, even take out pizza. Needless to say, we stepped up our game after that. Truly a hidden gem, being just beyond the Burlington boundary. Looking forward to next week's tasting! Pro tip: parking can get a little crazy. If it's looking super busy you can park just a little ways always at the plaza next door and walk. You will be glad you did!

They have the best cappuccino and latte. Love the atmosphere with local artists work on the walls.

Ruby welcomed us to the tasting room and patiently poured and explored with us the several kinds we were considering. It was a lot of fun, an experience we highly recommend as a part of wedding preparations. It really depends on your palette, and you have to understand that the grapes local to the area will not be your typical grapes. My family got flights, both sweet and dry. We really liked the 2023 Louise and 2022 Marquette. In fact, the Marquette was the best of the bunch from my point of view. The ciders were both really sweet, but the Eden Angeljus was pretty good and reminiscent of Mead. The Riesling was also a favorite. We got a cheeseboard for two, and that was freaking delicious. It came with a maple cranberry preserve that was out of this world. But the cheese, and even the crackers, were exceptionally good, too. Beyond that, the service was exemplary. Ruby in particular was a joy to talk to and quite good at her job. Finally, the live music they had playing was surprisingly good. I did not expect that kind of quality on a random Saturday in May. I highly recommend going to this winery.

We were warmly greeted, and they inquired if we were there for a table/bar seating, or the retail shop. We sat at the bar, and there were other customers at tables enjoying a glass and engrossed in conversation. They offer a small snack menu, along with a selection of wines, and they have a good knowledge and will provide counsel on the options. We ordered the ricotta toast and the lonzo, a ham similar to prosciutto. Both were delicious! The lonzo comes with a drizzle of quality olive oil on top, and a sprinkle of salt, and a dab of mustard. The ricotta toast (no pic sorry) was also tasty. The space leans to industrial loft, but is warm and invites conversations and relaxation. The shop also has a retail space, and a monthly wine club subscription is an option. It is separated from the restaurant, but not a quirk of their shop, but archaic Vermont liquor laws. We decide to subscribe and picked up our first selections to take home.

We sat at the bar for glasses of wine with lots of treats: a bowl of yummy olives, fancy tinned fish, bresaola, mind-blowing new award-winning blue cheese from Jasper Hill (withersbrook) and a cherry, tomato, almond, burratini salad...all served with slices of excellent bread. Perfect accompaniments to each plate: lemon and garlic with the fish, cherry conserves with the cheese, etc... We'll be back again and again, with friends in tow.
