Word of mouth in the Whitestone (Queens) area suggested that Excellent Air had an "excellent"…read morereputation for service and value. As a former Queens resident, now living in DC, and renovating our family's home, my sister and I both spoke to Glenn. Gregg knew the area/the locale of the house, having worked on old systems and installing new HVAC systems on many similar houses in the development, Bayside Village. Though the original contractor did sub-par duct work, Glenn installed two new HVAC systems that were customized for the house and its apartment. Glenn's and his team were informative, in touch when it was necessary to order equipment and then to install it; provided a project outlook as to the number of days from beginning to end--all of which allowed us to continue with other aspects of the renovation having nothing to do with his team while his team and yet his team was able to efficiently work inside the house while other aspects of the renovation took place. Glenn helped me to decide on the possible systems that were available for our particular house, suggested a hybrid system that saved some bucks, and so his knowledge and familiarity impressed me, making it easy for me to go ahead with one of his suggested HVAC systems. He is a good man. This is an "EXCELLENT" company. It's folks like Glenn that give you your money's worth, both both in expertise and service.

He was always available whenever I had a question, consistently followed up, and was extremely helpful and informative throughout the entire process. What stood out to me the most was that he kept his word from beginning to end. Everything he said he would do, he followed through on, and that meant a lot to me. Great communication, great customer service, and a very positive experience overall. I would definitely recommend Sharif!

Was told by this company that an estimate was "required" to give me an estimate for maintenance on…read morea new Weil Mclain Aqua Balance Combi boiler and was precharged 136 dollars for the visit. This is a 18 month old boiler. in researching the maintenance kit from Weil Mclain for the boiler is about 150 dollars. I was quoted 1838 dollars for the maintenance When looking at the facts on time and material I find the following: Maintenance Kit Cost: Genuine Weil-McLain AquaBalance Annual Maintenance Kits (typically containing gaskets, an ignitor, and a flame sensor) are widely available online for $147.00 to $257.00. Labor Time: The manufacturer advises that a complete preventative maintenance procedure should take approximately 2 to 2.5 hours. Even if charging 200 dollars and hour and a premium kit price ($250), a fair total would be approximately $650 to $750. The quote of $1,838 is nearly triple the high-end estimate. Precharging 125 dollar up front , plus fees and taxes bringing it to over 135 dollars and stating it is required and never having even recieved what the possible fees they charges are is unscrupulous when they are charging over 3X the national average, and when i called for a refund on the estimate stating this i was outright refused. If i could give ZERO stars i would!!
