And I am happy to say that unlike reviews from other companies I have seen virtually no loss of electricity created. In 2017 our panels produced 6.71 MWh. In 2018 they produced 6.38 MWh. As for cost savings, I have calculated my electric savings as roughly $100 /month over the course of one year. So why did I choose Wildcat Solar? I had 3 other companies send out reps to give me quotes. Each quote was roughly the same. Installation to be done after the new year, and after tax rebates cutting costs down to approximately $7,000. Then I met Thurston. I showed him the quotes I received and he said there was an error in all 3. One of the rebates was incorrect on each quote. He also promised to get the system up and running before the new year (which he did even though he had hip replacement surgery during the install). I cannot thank Wildcat Solar enough for the great work they did, and highly recommend them.

There were some hick up during the project, hence the 4 stars instead of 5, but everything worked out at the end and I am satisfied. I have a smaller 4KWH system and now pays only about $15 per month to Con Ed (basic service charge). Saves money in the long term and help saves the planet for our children.

My journey started in 2021 with a 20 panel system and fast forward to 2023 I'm having an additional 10 panels added to my system (needed additional panels to offset power consumption for 2 EV's, ductless system, etc.). I waited to write my review to gauge how the service and support experience would potentially change after the inital installation and I can say Dan and his team has been just as competent, professional, supportive, etc as the initial consultation. My gripe with the other 'solar guys' is they all sounded like car salesmen focusing on making a deal, get in and get out.....in contrast Dan actually sat and took the time to explain the whole process in great detail from start to finish and didn't end until all questions, comments and concerns were addressed. I will use Built Well Solar for all my solar needs for foreseeable future.

No pressure, just a presentation of the value added by their installation. They use state of the art equipment and did indeed, eliminate my electric bill. They performed the work on time and on budget. When I sold my first home the buyers mentioned that the solar panels were one of the factors in making their decision. Needless to say,there was no shopping around when it came time to equip my second home. They are hands down, the BEST solar company and I liked the fact that they are a privately owned Long Island based company. However that was replaced with understanding and the ability to meet some pretty awesome people. I had most of my questions answered before I asked them and what I did ask was answered quickly by Rob (Sales). The installers (Other Rob and team) were also amazing. They allowed me to follow along and explained everything they were doing as I had some interest in learning. They were patient and methodical. Also, HUGE shoutout for the neatness of the work done. The cable runs that the electrician did (mint), and the lines from the roof to the garage, along with the ethernet cable installed to my network cabinet...all was done with professionalism. Lastly, the front office team were also great. They actually showed up on the job-site and said hello which was different and awesome to see. All in all, Green House Solar did a fantastic job and the only thing I get to complain about now, is the amount of cloudy days each month :)

Greenhouse Solar Review -- Delays, Poor Workmanship, and Broken Promises…read moreWe had our solar system installed by Greenhouse Solar in September 2024, and unfortunately the experience has been extremely disappointing from start to finish. Before installation, I asked whether the panels were actually in stock. I received no response. Then, on 8/26/2025, I was informed by Lee Oelkers that their regular panels were out of stock and would be replaced with a different brand. On 10/1/2025, after a night of high winds, we heard loud banging on the roof. Greenhouse Solar came out the next day and confirmed panels were loose, securing them at that time. On 12/2/2025, we were notified by NJ ADI that our paperwork for the state rebate was incomplete due to missing serial numbers on the power box. At the company's request, I opened the power box, photographed the serial numbers, and sent them in. Then, on 12/10/2025, the company admitted an error on the New Jersey state form and asked me to re-sign corrected documents. I did so, and shortly afterward we were told the state would now require a site inspection. On 12/18/2025, after a wind and rainstorm, 38% of our panels stopped functioning. When I called Greenhouse Solar on 12/19/2025, I was told the panels would "fix themselves." The following day I received another email insisting it was not an installation issue. On 12/21/2025, I emailed back disputing that microinverters "self-repair," requested service, and received no response. I then sent a corrective-action letter giving seven days to reply. On 12/24/2025, a salesperson told me they were busy with end-of-year installs, but still no official response from the company. On 12/26/2025, I finally received an email from Lauren stating a technician would be at my home on 12/31 between 8-9 a.m. No one showed up. My calls and emails went unanswered. Later that day I received a new email saying the visit was moved to January 6th, and that Lauren would be leaving the company on 1/2/26. Bottom line: Greenhouse Solar changed equipment after the sale, performed poor-quality installation, mishandled required New Jersey paperwork, and repeatedly provided inaccurate information -- including claims that failed panels would fix themselves and confirming an appointment that never occurred. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company.

This has been an extremely frustrating experience. One of the microinverters on my system is…read moreclearly underperforming--producing about half the energy of the others--and even Enlighten (the monitoring system) has indicated it was likely not assembled or installed correctly from the start. The manufacturer honored the warranty and sent me a replacement unit at no cost, which confirms there is a legitimate issue. Despite this, the company has refused to come out and install the replacement or address the problem. Communication has been poor from the beginning. Representatives have been dismissive and unhelpful, and at one point I was hung up on. Since then, my calls have gone unanswered. I was ultimately told this decision came directly from the owner, which is even more disappointing. I will continue escalating this matter until a resolution is reached. I expected accountability and basic customer support, but instead got the opposite. I would strongly caution others before working with this company.
