I had gone to Rack N Road a few years ago to get a roof rack installed on my car. My car is older (2013) and hadn't been designed for a roof rack, so they team at Rack N Road had to drill and mount the Thule rack on my car. I was very happy with the workmanship and the rack, and have used it ever since. Last week I decided to get another kayak carrier attached to the rack, since I now have two kayaks. Ferrying them back and forth with one carrier was just too much of a hassle! I went by Rack N Road again, without an appointment, hoping they'd have the right parts and could put one on. It was definitely yes and yes! In less than half-an-hour I not only had purchased the same carrier I already had on my car but the staff at Rack N Road had it installed too! A Yakima roof rack was super discounted price which I found on Yakima's website and it suggested to buy it here. I drove down here to purchase it and the original person who helped me was great and even said they would honor that price. His boss got involved and said they couldn't match even though it was on Yakima's website suggesting this place to purchase. Real customer service would honor the price and then go after the manufacturer to get the portion of money you lost. Watch out for false advertisement! read more

Even though they were not getting a sale out of it they were very helpful and generous with their advice. The worst customer service I have ever experienced. I ordered a roof rack in June for a trip scheduled in September. I paid in full against my better judgement. After being told repeatedly that the parts were on the way, I scheduled installation when told they had arrived. I was subsequently told that one part had not actually arrived, which was repeated the next two times I inquired, weeks apart. Today, I went off on them when told (again) that they were missing a part. They then called me back to say that upon further review, the part had magically arrived. Please. I'm so happy this Rack N Road is still in Seattle. I've been here so many times over the years--bike rack, ski rack, roof box, etc. Each time, the staff was knowledgeable about their products, generous with their time, and just all around awesome. They've also helped me with free replacement parts several times, and solved every rack problem I've ever had over the years. I recently went to buy a bike rack, thinking I knew which one I was going to buy based on internet research. They threw the rack in question onto my car, and we discovered it wouldn't fit my hitch receiver! So much for that plan... Undeterred, they brought out several other racks--including off the their own car--until we found one that worked. They workshopped different possible solutions given my needs, and were super patient the whole time. Some people ask me why they would go to a retailer instead of finding a deal for a rack online. I absolutely love this vehicle rack shop and have had multiple amazing 5-star experiences with their service. Most recently, I dropped by with my Thule cargo box rack (that I had purchased there 7 years ago) to have the locks looked at. The recent cold temperature had been causing issues, including one of the locks breaking when I tried to open it yesterday up at the Summit. Upon arrival, Josh & Ned immediately began assessing the damaged locks and informed me that the locks had a lifetime warranty and would submit a claim on my behalf to get them fixed free of charge. I can not say enough great things about Rack N Road. Being a female I always feel intimidated when taking my vehicle to a mechanic or any service that is male-dominated. I purchased a vehicle a couple of months ago and have been street parking without any issues in front of our place. One day when I went run errands I found that someone had backed into my car causing scratches on the bumper. I decided it was time to purchase a dash cam for the front and back which lead me to purchase the Thinkware F800 Pro. After contacting many install shops Rack N Road was the only one to contact me back within 24hrs. I emailed them a video and specs of the product and they told me not to worry they've installed many dash cams. They were so patient with all the questions I had and I felt super comfortable with them doing the work. I took my car in and everyone was so friendly and I didn't feel intimidated at all. Within a couple of hours, they called me and said the car was ready.
