We stopped by here late at night in hopes of watching the light show on the falls but we were just a tad too late. This lounge is absolutely fantastic! It has amazing views of the falls, an amazing vibe, an extensive drink menu, desserts and cozy seating that is perfect for a date night. They have mini coves with fireplaces (unfortunately they were all taken when we arrived but the vibe was great). This restaurant attracts an older crowd and is definitely classy. We ordered the 3 flavour gelato sundae (we only received two of the flavours), which we found odd but it was presented really well and I ordered a mint tea with honey. The chocolate gelato was really good. The texture was smooth and creamy while the vanilla gelato had specks of vanilla bean in it but you could tell it had melted and was refrozen. It has ice particles in it, which gave it a grainy texture. My mint tea arrived in a fancy glass and tasted really good! Would we return? Definitely in the summer when we can sit outside and watch the falls. From inside the view of the Falls wasn't as good and you would have to go higher up to really enjoy it. read more

One word...coziness!!! This upscale lounge is tucked away upstairs at the Fallsview Casino, away from the hustle and bustle of the casino crowd below. For a Friday night, it was pleasantly quiet, just the right amount of patrons to enjoy the cocktails! The drinks were spot on, dirty martinis and whiskey sours. The charcuterie platter was delicious as well, a must have if you go. I'll be returning in the Spring so we can sit outside and enjoy the wonderful views of both Falls! If you have only recently heard of R5, it is not because it is new. In fact it has been around for about 8 years, but has only recently been marketed. If you are looking for a quiet place to go, and relax away from the crowds this is your spot. When we went we were the only ones in the whole place, and the waitress said that is very typical. For such a great place it is surprising that it is often so empty. The menu is small, but has options for those that want a small snack, to a more filling meal. We had the charcuterie, and the prosciutto flatbread. The charcuterie was great, with great variety, and portions of each item, although I was not a huge fan of the chicken pate. I didn't find the flatbread to be particularly flavorful. Both items were enough for the two of us to eat. The decor is modern and looked convenient for small intimate groups, or larger groups. The outside is a large patio with lots of seating. The view of the falls is blocked by trees but the view of people passing through the little courtyard area is not unpleasant. read more

Wow what a find! We've visited this place on a number of occasions! We've love the interior and the atmosphere! In the summer time, the patio is spectacular! With the most amazing view of the falls and cozy comfy couches by fire pits and the best view of the fire works! From Oysters to shrimps to $1k cocktails! Yes you read correctly! They offer it all! We also love that they can get seafood and sushi from the 'noodle bar' downstairs after hours. Great service at the bar and the lighting is just right for date night! Cheers! read more

I've been here with friends a few times in the past six months, and while the menu and beverages have never disappointed, the service is not great. The wait staff have always been very friendly, but incredibly slow. We've waited up to an hour after asking for our bill on multiple visits, both in the slower winter months and in the busier summer. The wait times for our beverages has never been prompt, and on our last visit we asked our servers twice for some glasses of water but never received them. Unfortunately this was not a one off occurrence and has happened to us on multiple visits. The atmosphere is beautiful and the staff are all friendly, the extremely slow service is very disappointing. read more

The Pork Belly Kebabs were delicious!! It arrived on a plate of five on a bed of greens with the maple soya glaze drizzled over it. Each skewer had about four chunks of pork belly stabbed through a transparent skewer stick. The pork belly was so smooth, tender, and rich in flavour. I loved this appetizer!! read more

Nice cozy place for drinks. There was only 2 tables when we went at 7:40PM than by 9:30PM there were 6 tables. This place was empty compared to the 2 buffets and food court in the casino. If you want to escape the crowd than this place is great. The food was good, small portions so perfect to share while having a drink. read more

Looking for late night food & some drinks, we got there right as the kitchen was closing, they kindly offered to put our order in right away, but there were no intriguing vegan options so we politely declined. The drinks were super tasty, I enjoyed my icewine martini and my date enjoyed his drink as well. Nice ambiance, but the service was mediocre. read more

Well made drinks and comfortable well arranged seating in a lounge atmosphere. I've been here a few times on weekends when they've had live bands. Good times were had. There is a fair sized dance floor in front of the stage. This is a good place for the 25+ crowd to unwind and avoid the train wreck club kids at Dragon Fly. read more

Falls view? Who are they kidding?? All you can see are smidgens of the Falls through fully mature trees. After two days of dealing with the the theft of our car from the hotel parking lot, we had one chance to enjoy watching the falls while sipping a glass of wine and we wasted it on this place. Promoting the bar as having beautiful falls view is completely misleading and I really resent being duped. read more

Nice view, friendly staff secretly unlocked the door to the balcony and let us wander around outside. Very fair prices considering the location. Pretty much empty at 6 pm on a Monday, which is how I like it. That said, my sidecar tasted like boiled socks. Bartender said it was the first one he'd made in 25 years, which explains why he saw fit to put three maraschino cherries in it. Dope Spot. Very cool Vegas feel without the pretense .. food was 3.5 stars. But people and overall vibe were top flight. Drinks expertly mixed. The bar staff were not rookies. But hey the lobster guac was yuk. Oh well, I will def visit again... A good place for a buisness meeting. read more

Located inside the casino building. Just terrible service upon entering the lounge. There was a huge sign telling us to wait to be seated. There was no one in sight so how could we wait around? Though we waited for a couple minutes and still no one came to greet us. We walked in to show our faces. Several workers saw us and continued to chat amongst themselves! There were a couple waiters in the kitchen that us, didn't even acknowledge us and just kept chatting. Then there were several staff at the bar, who saw us and also continued to socialize with each other!! I think there were a total of 6 staff that saw us waiting around in the front and not a single person came to greet us. They just glanced over and continued to joke around. Also note that none of the staff were with guests, it felt like they just didn't feel like working. My boyfriend and I were also dressed up, he was in a suit and I was in a dress. I'm thinking there's no reason for them not to serve us?? Finally, I walked up to the bar, and magically 4 of those staff WALKED AWAY FROM ME. When I finally chased one down, I asked them if they were still open and serving food. He looked at me and told me to sit wherever I wanted. What a battle to get a seat and flag a staff down. The decor of the lounge was nice. There was a patio seating area and a large inside seating area. We opted for a spot outside. We went through the menu, and there was nothing but a couple of appetizers and a large drink list. We came here looking for food because some older reviews had mentioned food items. However when we asked our waitress she said that the menu changes seasonally and they don't serve mains anymore. Our waitress was great. She was unlike any of the staff that worked there. She was attentive and and friendly. We ordered the calamari which was a decent portion. It was tasty but a little too salty. The two flatbread pizzas were okay. Nothing amazing. Brutal service and nobody seemed overly concerned about it. Frankly this applied to Niagara Falls as a whole but I found this bar particularly bad. It took me 15 minutes to get a drink and when I spoke with the management they made excuses and refused to do anything about it. He told me the bartenders were really busy. First, it wasn't that busy, second, are you saying that when you are busy on a Saturday your bartenders are incapable of producing a cocktail in under 15 minutes which is acceptable to you. Just brutal service but then again when it's an extension of the government what would you expect. read more

Fabulous food and service. We have been here several times and have sat at the bar. Steve, Amy, and Carly are great!! We love coming here when we visit from Pennsylvania. Tonight, a small glass of water got spilled on my husband and Amy, Carly, and Steve came over and cleaned it up and we're so apologetic. They even offered us a free dessert. We visited this bar both nights during our stay and enjoyed it very much. It was not too crowded which was nice considering how busy the rest of the city was. The bartenders were all very knowledgeable. They have an extensive liquor selection. All of the cocktails and drinks we ordered were delicious and reasonably priced. The decor is also very nice. We would like to go back when the outdoor area is open once it gets warmer outside. read more

We love the drinks here. Fantastic signature martinis..... but terrible service! I've been here many times as I am a local and like I said drinks are great besides being pricey but I don't think I've ever had a good experience when it comes to servers or bar tenders. We went yesterday with a group of 7 and there was only a handful of people there having drinks but it still took a server 20 minutes to get 4 of us drinks then another 10 minutes to get the other 3 (5 martinis 1 water 1 beer) . Our server came back not asking if we wanted anything else but with one bill stating she knew we wanted them separate but she was going on break so we had to go up and have them separated as we payed. Such a shame because it's a beautiful place and I wish I could say I will be back but at this point I don't think I will. read more

Nice lounge at the Niagara Fallsview Casino Resort with a balcony view of Horseshoe Falls. Clean, crisp, alcohol which is decently priced for a tourist area (who expected to pay $30 a plate at a Macaroni Grill). Though, it may be somewhat pricy for some people, it is cheaper or on par with other bars in the area. read more

If Im paying $10-$12 for a drink I want some alcohol. In their defense most places in the tourist area I went had a lot of "pretty" drinks that were just loaded with sugar and no alcohol. read more
