Roobik has come to my house a total of three times. 1. He came to my house to install an outdoor outlet, which I did use him for (and tipped) 2. He came to my house to give a quote for a job I didn't use him for. 3. He came to my house one additional time (and now last time), to give a quote for a subpanel install outside. Within a few minutes of the third visit, after observing unrelated electrical work he didn't perform for me, he uttered something to the effect of "I've come to your house 2 or 3 times now and given you a quote, and you don't use me. I'm not going to provide a quote without charging 2 hours of labor, to measure the distance of the cable runs". On its own, a ridiculous statement which no other electrician has asked of me, as I have had other electricians bid for this job already that have no issues with taking out a tape measure and providing an estimate within a few minutes of being onsite. At the end of the day, I invited Roobik to my house in good faith, to provide an estimate for what will amount to several thousands of dollars of work, and rather than provide a quote, I got lectured and instructed to get a quote from the other electricians that have worked on my house. There are many electricians/contractors that aren't going to chastise you for not sending every job their way, I recommend you find a different electrician as this last (and final) interaction was baffling, unprofessional, and uncalled for. read more

This is the best electrician in all of Los Angeles County, but we are lucky enough to have him in our own backyard. I found him here on yelp after having several electricians that didn't help us, because they said our house was too old to do the projects we wanted or just did bad work. Roobik answered my call for help and I had an estimate in less than two hours. We needed a 240v outlet in our kitchen to support a new induction stovetop/oven. He and his helper were both professional, punctual, and didn't talk to us like we didn't know anything. Since So Cal Edison has all these programs going to upgrade or replace older electric appliances, I decided to replace my 40 year old water heater through one of their programs. The problem is that my house is over 100 years old, and the wiring isn't exactly up to modern standards. As a result, even though the installation itself went smoothly, the water heater kicked out before it was able to heat a single tank of water. When the installers came back a day and a half later, they said it was a problem with the wiring and washed their hands of it. That was when I started making phone calls. Roobik was the first electrician to respond, and he made it his personal imperative to come by that same day to try and figure out the problem so I could have hot water again. He arrived when he said he would. He was courteous and professional. We discussed likely causes of the problem, and he was able to coax my ancient wiring into sending enough power to my shiny new water heater so it could do its job.
