Craig's Electric - New Kitchen Fandolier - Electricians Near Me - Montrose, California

Unfortunately this review does not relate to the quality of Craig's service as I wasn't able to get him to come out. After exchanging messages, sending photos of the work and asking when he could come to do the repairs . . . nothing. Completely ghosted. He may have too much work or other things going on but at least he could have said he wasn't available so I could get someone else to do the repair. Not good. read more

Craig's Electric responded quickly and fixed our electrical issues. I highly recommend their services.

The lights and fan above my kitchen stove & oven was not working properly. I called Craig this morning and he made time for me. He came over and fixed the simply problem as fortunately it was an easy fix! He was super kind & I will definitely be using him again in the future. Great man & his assistant, Steve as well. We called Craig's out to fix a bad outlet. Craig and Steve arrived on time and were professional and courteous. They diagnosed the problem (broken wire) and fixed it. I mentioned a separate problem with a dimmer switch. Craig explained the issue with dimmers and LED bulbs. He installed a better switch--this take care of problem #2. I will be calling Craig's Electric again for more work and highly recommend them. It's great to find a local company like this. read more

Called Craig from a recommendation on Nextdoor about an outlet that was sparking and smoking. Made time to see me that same day. Quick, efficient and reasonable. Looked at a few other things while they were here offering professional advice on this and that. Craig and Steve could not have been nicer; even taking some time to throw the ball for Rufus, the doggo. Highly recommend. read more

Stand up person with good morals. He went above and beyond to help me with an issue. I highly recommend.

I was having problems with my power panel and called an electrician to fix it. The first one said I needed a whole new panel and also told me the wiring was old and needed to be replaced. The cost he gave for the job was in the thousands and I thought I would get a second opinion. Called a second electrician and was told basically the same thing. So I decided to call one more electrician and figured if they also had the same analysis, then I guess its what has to be done. Called Craigs Electric with my fingers crossed and he came, looked at my panel, did some tests and told me that all I needed was a new circuit breaker. I asked him about my wiring, and he said it was old but not a hazard. Thank you Craigs Electric! read more

I would rather give Craig Electric no star if I could! Craig replaced a circuit breaker that controls our kitchen electrical power including the fridge in November 2024. The same problem came back on March 7, 2025. I called and texted Craig several times, but without any response. After 10 days, I found another Electrician who fixed the problem Period. The new Electrician said that the malfunction circuit breaker replaced was not new and it was too tight to be removed. He had to open the wall to replace the whole circuit breaker panel and it was costly. I asked Craig for refund. He texted back and said he would do it if I give him back the replaced breaker. But when I went through trouble and got the old breaker and asked to meet him, he just ignored and disappeared. read more

He was able to solve my problem over the phone, and didn't even have to make a service call, which was very much appreciated.

i have used craig's electric a few times over the last 2 yrs to repair outside light fixtures outlets in the house and in the front yard. most recently i purchased an electric clothes dryer which needed to have the outlet upgraded. he has been prompt fixes things quickly and at reasonable prices. today i called because the switches and outlets in my kitchen were not working. i checked the electric panel to see if any breakers were tripped all looked fine so i called craig. he asked if my kitchen had ever been remodeled and whether there was a gfi outlet that had been tripped while we were on the phone i found it and pushed the white button and it was fixed. i never noticed the white button on the outlet i thought they are red he said the outlet buttons are now white. i felt like an idiot . he is so kind and honest fixing my problem over the phone. read more

Two of my outlets stopped working and I checked the fuse box and the fuse was still on . I called Craig's Electric because of all the glowing reviews on Yelp . Customers gave 5 star reviews not only because of his quality work but also his honesty and kindness. First he tried to help me fix the problem over the phone for free. He was sure I just needed to reset the outlet. I assured him this plug had no reset button and I had aLready reset the nearby plug. He said he could drop by that night on his way home... I think knowing what would happen. And sure enough, he found an outlet I didn't know about and reset it... and you guessed it... this reset the two nonfunctioning outlets. Instead of charging the $120 minimum fee, he said I can't charge you that much for that and asked for a much much reduced fee. ... with the request that if I had a bigger job to keep his business in mind. Yes I will! Thank you Craig!!! read more

I have had Craig over for a few smaller jobs at my house that I was not able to do myself. And there is no job too big or too small. I have high ceilings and can't reach the lights even with my tallest ladder and Craig has no problem doing that. He also fixed a security light outside and was great when it turned out that the brand new out of the box light was faulty. He took it back and got a new one for me which I would not have done for at least a few weeks. He came back the very next day and got it all sorted for me. He and his crew are also really nice and I feel very safe with them and know they will not swindle me. I highly recommend him for all the small jobs, and all the big ones too! read more
