I needed a Tesla universal wall connector installed at my house so I began my search on Tesla's website and it's "Find a certified installer" page. I wanted the peace of mind of relying on a Tesla certified installer to install a Tesla wall charger for my new Tesla. From the 5 star rated companies on Tesla's search site, I selected 4 electric companies near my area and then went to Yelp to do my due diligence to see their business background and read their reviews. I started a Yelp project and reached out to all 4 companies and had good communication overall. Art from Zenith Electric came to my home on-time, and we discussed what I needed. He explained to me very well the scope of work that was required and why. Art helped me think through which options makes good sense to run the conduits efficiently and keep the cosmetics clean so that the house stays looking nice. Included in the estimate was Zenith handling the permit application (which is a big deal for me). We agreed to the terms of cost was reasonable, and I hired Zenith. Art started working on the permit and the installation was performed a few days later. His team was very nice and they did good work. Very thorough. Art even offered to paint the conduits (which I've heard electricians don't usually do). I had extra house matching paint, so they took care of it. We had a purchased a chandelier off Etsy to hang on our 20 foot ceiling, but the initial contractor who hung it had no idea how to do the design we wanted and kind of left the chandelier hanging without a design. We had no idea what to do. In comes Zenith Electric and Loris and his partner to save the day. They not only fixed our chandelier design, but they even did us a favor by helping us paint a scuff mark at the top of the ceiling left by the old chandelier. Additionally, they also helped us switch out some recessed lighting in the high ceiling and above the stairs and install some Lutron smart switches. They were very professional and their work was excellent. They brought multiple ladders in and finished the job in excellent time whereas other contractors and electricians we tried to hire had no idea how to do what we wanted. We used Zenith Electric to install (2) ceiling fans and (2) lighting fixtures. We had gotten quotes from (3) electricians and they were the most affordable. They arrived the day of the appointment on time. We were so impressed with the work. One of the ceiling fans we thought needed to be rebalanced, but when they looked at it, we needed a new one. Zenith ran to Home Depot to pick up the new fan and installed the new lighting switch at no additional cost. They also stayed until the job was done, (8 hours) which we really appreciated. The biggest plus was that for the light in the entryway, they needed to install a junction box in order to place the light. Other electricians said that they would put the junction box in but then they would leave and we would need to find someone else to patch and paint the ceiling. Then they would have to come back again to install the fixture. Zenith did the patchwork and placed the light all in one trip. The patch looks really good. You'd have to squint to see it (and we can paint over it in a few days). They were also very neat. They wore covers over their shoes and masks the whole time. They vacuumed after themselves and even offered to take all of the empty boxes to the trash. So impressed! read more

This is a late review, but we had two electricians come out last year from Zenith to upgrade the wiring to our AC unit to a higher gauge wire that could handle a higher amperage. Other companies had told us we'd have to open walls and quoted us with much higher estimates, but Zenith came up with a more efficient solution that didn't require opening walls up. I needed to have an all new bathroom exhaust fan installed. I had a few different electricians quote on the job, but Zenith was the only electrician who wanted to come out and see the bathroom in order to provide a quote. The consultation took all of 5 mins or so and I received a quote later the same day. The quote was about the average of the other quotes I received, but Artin was professional, courteous, and made the effort to come out, so I hired them to complete the work. Two electricians arrived as scheduled, but less than 10 mins in, they discovered I would need to have the bathroom switch rewired to accommodate the fan. They provided a discounted rate, which would add nearly 50% to the original estimate. I wasn't sure this was necessary and couldn't verify the fairness of the price, but I agreed. At the end of the day, the fan was installed and the included patch work appears to just need some touch-up paint, as expected. Pros: * Free in-person consultation * The job was able to be scheduled quickly, within 2 week's time. * Originally, Artin anticipated probably needing to punch a couple holes in the wall to complete the job, so I was pleased that Tedi and his co-worker were ultimately able to avoid this, which was great. Cons: * The price increase (+$300) was unexpected and I feel this could have been addressed during the initial consultation to avoid a surprise at the actual time of the installation with a crew in the house, plastic already down, etc. (Ultimately, Zenith ended up being the most expensive option of the 4 quotes I received.) read more
