I was super impressed and surprised by the services they gave to any customers, big or small, female or male, large or tiny orders like me. The owner "Jack Housik" came out to help when he saw the line was getting long. I needed a replacement of LED light in the bedroom that only a year old and the warranty is for 5 yrs. I asked for 5 more as a spare, he had to order them because they were not in stock. He called me to pick up my order, he gave me one free for the broken one even I didn't have a receipt. The price was reasonable so I bought 2 more spare for the kitchen with a good deal. The technicians at the counter were all helpful, polite, professional to their customers from my observation. This shop is amazing. The entire staff and the owner are so incredibly skilled, thoughtful and kind. I had a very special art installation of the moon, that fell and broke. Not only did they fix it, but they were able to change the color temperature to 2700k at my request. I do a lot of creative art installations with lighting and next, I came to them with a "secret nook" behind a fairy door where the wires were damaged and it stopped lighting up. They made time in their busy day to help me fix that too. Not a good experience. I went there because of the reviews but it was pretty disappointing from the start. The selection wasn't great, which is bizarre considering LEDs are their specialty. They didn't have the bulb I was looking for so I ended up going to Home Depot down the street on San Fernando and I got exactly what I was looking for. UPDATE: I went to this store again this morning because the LED Strip got dim. The guy with attitude who broke the WAGO Connection check the Transformer, then, asked me to give him the LED Strip (but didn't break its WAGO Connection this time), and eventually, told me the LED Strip is not working. I brought it home, and checked it myself, and as shown in the picture it works fine! The guy with attitude said I remember this LED Strip, but he didn't mention wether or not he remembers he broke its WAGO connection or not. Not only his attitude, but his knowledge in simple matters related to his field is quite unique. OLD REVIEW: The impatient person who helped me out today broke the WAGO Link as is shown in the picture. I already told him "NO!" to stop pulling out the small hard plastic tab; he had to push the tab instead. As an LED supply store, I'm surprised with the sales person's lack of familiarity with WAGO connections. Even if he was unfamiliar with WAGO connections, it's common sense that a hard plastic would break. Lastly, I told him to stop, but he didn't even pay attention! I told that person, who may be the owner, that these LEDs are expensive. That LED is a part of a time sensitive project with all custom pieces. The damage is incalculable. I had gotten LED lights at costco and was happy with them, needed a couple more. Went in here to grab a couple 5k lights, ended up getting five remote controlled lights and I couldn't be happier. The pricing for the remote controlled lights were very competitive to big box stores like Ikea, but the bulbs themselves are awesome. They have a night light mode, kelvin adjustment from 2700-6500, and change color and brightness as well, all through an app and a hub. The customer service here is fantastic, and they have a showroom to help give you an exact feel for what the lights look like and the capabilities they have. I've purchased led light strips from this company on 2 occasions when one of the lights stopped working they replaced it no questions asked. They were quick and efficient. Today I had to replace a low watt power transformer for a sconce that I did not purchase from them. They found a suitable replacement and I ended up going back to see if they had another one after I accidentally blew the transformer when I hooked it up wrong. Not only did they. First I ordered custom size led strips for under cabinet, then by the time it was ready I realized that I gave them wrong sizes, so they had to redo it. I was so happy to drive over to Advanced LED supply. I called before I went and the guy on the phone listened to me and assured me they had what I needed, very nice. When I got there however, EVERYTHING changed. They said my width was smaller than they had thought (not their fault) and that their connectors wouldn't fit. When I asked if they had any turnarounds I could solder myself, the guy brought some out and said "IF you could solder them, then yeah they'd work"...? He said this multiple times. Granted I don't look like the AV type but I've worked in AV for a good while, and I'm used to getting that sort of thing from the old salty Chicago union riggers or something but there's no need for the condescension when it's a paying customer who clearly knows what she's looking for? I was quoted $2 per wired turn around with connectors, little pricy but totally worth it for a local private owned shop. When I got there the little L connector cards (no wires no connectors) were quoted at $3. When I told him I needed the cable/card/connector assembly and could get them on Amazon for $7 he laughed and said, "Yeah per cable". I said no, for ten cables with dual end connector ports. He said "Yeah I doubt that". I was over the attitude at that point and pulled it up right on my phone, free same day shipping 10 of the cables for $5.82. He poured over it before saying, "yeah well whatever that's nice". All of this "customer service" was interrupted every 60 seconds with something more important for him to do like talking to ppl on the phone and taking other customers when I just wanted to ask my questions and go. I don't dilly dally in stores, I'm busy and I know they are too- so don't make customers wait on you for ten minutes each time you walk off to tend to what you apparently consider more important things. None of this is intended to be harsh or mean spirited, just a snapshot of what customers are experiencing. I hope you guys can take this into consideration and get with the times as far as updating your customer service methods. read more
