Had a fantastic experience working with Zenith Electric to install string lights in my backyard. I did a consultation with Artin via Facetime, and I appreciated his advice and suggestions. He had some great ideas, provided a very fair estimate (lower than other companies I spoke with), and installation was scheduled very quickly soon after (about a week), which I was very happy about. Teddy and Art came by to do the installation, and I was impressed with their professionalism, willingness to help, and care. They were thoughtful, respectful, and very communicative, checking in with me periodically throughout the job. I appreciated their friendliness and they got everything done very efficiently and cleaned up after themselves. (the whole job took about 5-6 hours). Their work was top notch and I was very happy with the finished project. (Pictures attached) I will definitely be looking to Zenith Electric on a few more projects in the future. Scheduled an appointment window between 11am-2pm. I was told the technician would contact me when they were on their way, but never received any call or updates. At the end of the appointment window, I eventually called to see what was going on and why no one contacted me only to be told they would call me back. 2 hours later, I received a call from the technician saying he was almost here. No apologies, no acknowledgment of the missed appointment. I cancelled right then. This was a big waste of my time and a disrespectful way to conduct business. read more

Recently had Zenith upgrade my electrical panel and they did an excellent job! Art was very responsive from the jump and was super easy to work with. Very reasonably priced too. I've seen electricians charge more for shoddier work. Highly recommend! read more

Fast response, prompt service. Middle of the road in terms of cost but very happy with the speed of the work.

This is a late review, but we had two electricians come out last year from Zenith to upgrade the wiring to our AC unit to a higher gauge wire that could handle a higher amperage. Other companies had told us we'd have to open walls and quoted us with much higher estimates, but Zenith came up with a more efficient solution that didn't require opening walls up. And the price was much more reasonable, and they were able to do the work same day. Which we were grateful for because we couldn't run our AC and it was summer! read more

I bought an EV Charger from ChargePoint and needed a good electrician to install it. It was delivered on Saturday. I usually have good contractors to do these kinds of things, but my electrician moved away. So I turned to Yelp. I always use the filter to select rating because I don't care how close a contractor is to me in LA. Zenith Electric, Inc. had over 200 5-star ratings so I read several of them. They told the same type of situation repeatedly about on time, clean, polite, did a good job, reasonable price. So I called them not expecting a response on Saturday. Well I was wrong. They were open. I was told that Art would need to call me and will do so by 3:00pm About 2:30 Art called me. Art said he could avoid a visit if I walk over to my electrical panel using my phone's facetime to show him my electrical panel, where I want to have it installed, and my outside meter and breakers. When we were done with that, he said he would text me his estimate. About 45 minutes later I received the estimate and it also said he could do the work Monday morning 10-12. I texted him right back and said Yes, please schedule me for Monday morning. On Monday morning at about 10:10 Vians arrived with Sevan. They began the work right away. About 1 1/2 hours later, they knocked on the door and said they were done. The ChargePoint was installed on my wall right where I wanted it, and working. They installed a 60 AMP breaker on my Panel Outside for it. Their work was neat, clean and professional. I wrote out a check for the amount Art had sent me, and they wrote out a receipt on the spot. Then the following week, I was called to say the inspection from the city was the following Monday. That Monday morning I was called and informed the city inspector was scheduled for 2-5 in the afternoon. Art showed up a little before 2:00 pm. He had his paperwork ready for the inspection who showed up about an hour later and signed off on the city permit. Art gave the signed permit to me and my job was completed. My installation qualifies for a DWP rebate of up to $1000 so I had everything that I needed to get my installation rebate. I now have a good electrician I can refer to my real estate clients. Thank you Zenith Electric Team! read more

I've now used Zenith twice with the most recent having them add a dedicated line for my kitchen lights. Vians was my tech both time. He and his partner were excellent. Responsive, communicative and quick. They stuck to the quote and were about providing the best quality service. I will definitely use them for future electrical needs. read more

He declined the job without ever providing an estimate. It was a large job so perhaps too much for him. I see that he replied no estimate because a meter spot was needed. That's only true for the part of the job that involved the main panel. He could have provided a quote for replacing the two subpanels, which I asked for. And I told him the meter spot had been ordered but DWP needed to approve it before we would know the equipment approved. Anyway, the whole job now is done and very well by a competitor. read more

Bait and switch. Don't trust the quote. Will upcharge you over and over. Terrible experience. Here's my experience: Electrician showed up, quoted $1,500 for multiple light installs. I have all lights on hand and pointed out all install sites. Afterward I ask about adding some switches and landed at $1,850. Then I also asked about a large chandelier install as a phase 2 project and pull up the exact model of the chandelier ordered, was quoted $1,200. So All together we're at $1,850 + $1,200 = $3,050. We agree to part 1 of the project and the chandelier at a later date but I decline the switches, but now my quote is $1,600 instead of the initial $1,500 agreed to. He won't budge. Against my better judgement I agree and let him move forward. Day of install he gets into the lights and says an additional $150 is needed for wiring work. At this point he's literally standing on my counter with the junction box exposed so I agree to it just to get it done. We're now at $1,750 instead of the original $1,500 quoted. Job gets done and he says one of the other lights would normally require another upcharge, but he's doing me a favor by not charging even more than the agreed upon price. He comes back for the chandelier install. Opens the box and says he can't install the chandelier at the agreed upon price and it has to be $3,000 instead of $1,200. Either these hidden up charges are just part of their business model or there is completely inadequate due diligence that they'll pass on the end customer. read more

Discovered a dead outlet in my kitchen. Then another, and another. Contacted Zenith through Yelp and immediately (within minutes) had a quote and several time slots for an appointment. They provided a window for their arrival, called 25 minutes before showing up, arrived, diagnosed the problem quickly, and remediated it. When you have an electrical problem you don't immediately expect things to be resolved this smoothly, but Zenith did exactly that. I would highly recommend. read more

Requested for someone to come out and give me an estimate for work on a new house I bought. An electrician was come out Friday, December 1, 2023 at 11:00 AM, At 11:56 AM I contacted the office to see if they were still on there way, and they stated they will contact the electrician to get in contact with me. A few minutes later, Ardin the electrician called and stated he was delayed due to work at prior job but that he was in route. I understand so I didn't complaint and it helped I had the day off so onward. Ardin arrived, professional and began to assess the work and approximately 30 minutes later he provided some input to my wife and I. He said give him a few days and he would give me an estimate. Tuesday, December 5, 2023, I reached out again and they stated they will be sending over an estimate and I provided my email address. Thursday, December 14, 2023, I reach out because I have not received anything and by now I have already 3 other estimate from electrical contractors for the job. I informed them I haven't received anything yet and the response was, "the electrician did want to talk to you". My number and email are on file and at any time an attempt could have been made but it wasn't. Their loss. Kindly note this was for an electrical panel upgrade from 100 to 200 AMPs and repositioning the weatherhead. Possibly rewiring the house too. read more

I'm so happy I could cry. I had hired another company to move my recessed lights - the area where the lights were previously located was about to be covered by a closet unit. After cutting holes in the new locations, the other company was unable to install the lights - they said the blown insulation in my attic made it impossible to see the joists, and the air duct from my HVAC unit was too close for them to install the new cans. When I called Zenith Electric, a helpful human answered the phone! They were willing to come take a look at my project in person, but I wanted to start with a video call. Art from Zenith Electric didn't even flinch at this project. After I showed him exactly where the previous company gave up, he calmly said yes, he could do everything I was asking. AND, most crucially for my project, Zenith Electric was able to come the next day! The quote they gave me included parts and labor; they brought the new LED recessed light fixtures along with them when they came. My project was: install 4 recessed lights, cover up 4 locations where the previous recessed lights were. 2 people came, worked quickly and quietly, and left in less than 2 hours. Zenith Electric went above and beyond: my dimmer switch was not LED-compatible, so they installed a new one. I could not believe how quickly this project went. Now I have 4 working lights, a new dimmer switch, and they left their work area clean and neat. I was so lucky to have found Zenith Electric! read more

A totally stress-free EV charger installation. I was worried that we might have to upgrade our electric service (which would have involved extensive underground work), but Art provided a load-sharing solution for a very fair price. All we had to do was obtain the charger, and Zenith did the rest. Loris and Nick did the installation quickly and cleanly, managing to make their way through my 99-year-old crawl space, with a perfect hardwired installation, and an automatic shutoff for the charger if the load gets too high (like when the AC clicks on). Again a little worried that the city inspector would insist on a power upgrade, but he said it was the best charger installation he'd ever seen, and signed off immediately All is great, love the new car and the charger; thanks again, Zenith! read more

No need to look further! Zenith Electric is the BEST. We were looking for a reliable electrician to install a chandelier in our new build home that had pre-installed wiring, but the placement was not centered in either the living room nor dining room. We had Tedi and Art on-site a month ago for the dining room, but had them return for our living room instead. We originally thought there had been a stud in the center of our living room, but when Tedi and Art arrived yesterday they confirmed that it was actually a fire block. They kindly walked us through the next steps of what needed to be done to ensure we achieved our desired look. Throughout the instillation they called us downstairs for any updates, questions, and etc. We now have a beautiful chandelier and will be forever customers after working with Tedi and Art. Also, they were incredibly sweet with our curious pup and even made time to say goodbye to her. Looking forward to recommending Zenith Electric to all our friends and family - Thank you! read more
