It comes as no surprise to me that virtually all of Rafi's reviews are five stars. He has the two qualities which are most important in connection with a service provider. For me the most important quality is the fact that he is honest. He doesn't perform work that does not need to be done. I get the sense more and more these days that services are being performed by mechanics and sadly even my doctors that really are not required. I never have this fear with Rafi. The second quality which is important but for me not nearly as important as the first is the fact that Rafi's prices are reasonable. Most recently, our garage refrigerator died when we were out of town and we returned to a disaster. We wanted to get a new refrigerator as soon as possible but it was clear that the way the refrigerator plug was jerry-rigged that it really needed professional attention. My wife called Rafi, explained the situation, and he came out that afternoon to install a new socket box. We had two other issues for him to address at a later date with respect to two of our ceiling fans. With respect to one of the ceiling fans which is making lots of noise Rafi simply showed us how it could be adjusted so that the fan would not make noise. With respect to the second fan which was wobbling he explained that to repair it would not be cost-effective but he could do a minor fix which he did so that at a lower speed the fan would not wobble that much. If we could live with that we would be fine. I think there are some electricians who would've replaced both fans. Not Rafi. I cannot say enough good things about him and the services he has provided for us over the years. I know this sounds like a paid commercial announcement but Rafi does not even know I am doing this review. And after all the years I have been on yelp I have only done two previous reviews. One for an upholsterer and one for a shredder, both of whom did excellent work. So, my praise is not easy to come by. read more

I have used Rafi and Anavar Electric for a number of electrical projects. I first met Rafi over 10 years ago when I had an unexpected electrical issue in a rental condo, which we were getting ready to rent out in a few days. Fortunately Rafi was able to come out right away and diagnose the problem, which was not in the unit but rather in a central electrical panel for the condo. This issue required a city inspector, our HOA building manager, and Rafi to all be there at the same time! Rafi was patient in waiting for all the parties and worked collaboratively with them to get the problem resolved. Most recently he worked persistently with a city inspector to get a part installed on our roof so we could close out our roofing permit that had been open for a year due to delays from the city. Rafi does excellent work and I've seen his commitment to doing a job well and to completion. His pricing is very reasonable, especially given that he goes the extra mile to get a job done. I searched around facebook groups and nextdoor to find that Rafi's name kept coming up with glowing reviews. I contacted him via Yelp and he was very responsive. With any new house, I started getting bombarded with social media ads and before I knew it, I ended up with purchasing the entire Nest ecosystem. The doorbell and cameras were beyond my expertise and required hard wiring (nest hello) or new outlets (cameras). When Rafi stopped by for an initial review, he noticed there were a lot of electrical issues that were here from the previous owner of the house. Indoor cables being used for outdoors, and other possibly faulty wiring that could cause a fire hazard. COVID 19: Rafi wore a mask the entire time when he was around me. Pros: Rafi was very professional and took a lot of pride in his work. He explained with detail the ideal car charger location in my house. He also ensured that the cameras were placed in the best location. Cons: Rafi's reputation and work ethic is not a secret to the area, which means that he is booked up almost all the time. Due to this schedule, he was unable to finish everything up all at once. He was also greatly hampered by the fires, heat waves, and everyone getting home improvement stuff done due to COVID. With that being said and much to my appreciation, Rafi did take care of my dangerous wire stuff right way due to the fire. The other work took him very little time to install as well. Rafi is a true gentleman I needed some electric work done for a garbage disposal that kept tripping after I had the electric swapped off and installed. Everybody else was giving me the runaround that they couldn't make it there and apparently was too small for them of a job. I'm pretty savvy myself but had I had 20 recessed lights I wanted to add in our house and it would have taken me weeks to finish. Rafi came for the estimate and immediately I could tell he knew what he was talking about. Some electricians take shortcuts to make installs quicker, but Rafi took the time to do the work properly. So I come home after a long day at work, and both my wife and mother in law mentioned that there was some odd burning smell coming from the living room. I go in there and sure enough I smell something.. So I end up calling Rafi and let him know what I smell and he comes over right away. This man saved our home from being burned to a crisp, he found an outlet behind one of our couches that was melting, as soon as he pulled it out of the wall, the piece exploded. The main problem was that a contractor we had hired messed up on the wiring and ended up stripping the insulation of the wires, which in turn literally started melting the socket. There are not enough words that I can say for the gratitude that I have for this man. The fact that he dropped everything and came over immediately to find the problem was incredible. In this day of everyone trying to cut corners and try to do the easiest thing possible just to get done, Rafi stands out.
