Later he called back and said he couldn't swap the USB ports because they were too different. I said ok, let's just fix the original one then. A week and half went by, while I waited around with no bedside table lamp in my bedroom. When I finally called back myself to ask if it was ready, he said he had told me he couldn't do the repair. "Huh?," I said. "You only told me you couldn't swap them. I thought you were still fixing the original lamp." He made some very confusing excuses for why it wasn't done, and kept repeating "different." I gave up and said I was coming to pick up the lamp to take somewhere else. When I got there, the base of the new lamp was scratched up and the base of my original lamp was dented and scratched!!! He insisted he only touched the bottom portion. Ok, well, both lamps were in perfect condition when I dropped them off!!!!! There was no dent before!! I'm extremely upset because this was a unique arched lamp that took me a very long time to find when I bought it two years ago and it was my perfect bedside table lamp. I won't be able to find another one like it because it's discontinued. And now it's ruined!!! I really cannot recommend enough that people stay away from this place.

Not only was the entire house decorated BOOtifully for Halloween, but they had character actors there. They even had a hot dog vendor on site! So LA and I love it. Important to note though, this is someone's house. It's not a business or a shop, but they do accept donations to keep their fun going! This house's decorations are awe inspiring and I loved it! Their lights double for the Christmas Holiday season so make your way over there for some cheer.

Like many Burbankers living in a 70-year-old fixer, turning on the iron and the toaster oven at the same time was an iffy proposition. It was electric panel replacement time, as my old fuse box was straight out of The Shining. Having no power one day, I found Burbank Electric on nextdoor.com, where Wayne + crew were recommended 10x more than anybody else. That same day, Wayne appeared with a fix to get the power back on while we plotted a new panel replacement. It's not cheap, but you are only going to do it once. Wayne pulled all the permits, handled the inspections, and did a seamless job. Now I can turn everything on at once. Many of the the "Yelp-sponsored" electricians (there are 18) are not even in Burbank, and dispatch from some other location. Go with a local superstar who has probably already done work on your street. Wayne's been back to my place for minor stuff, exactly as scheduled. He's also the nicest guy in Burbank. Electrical problems? Dry your tears and call this guy!

The fairest price for a visit/diagnosis was Preferred Electric. But wait, so few ratings, how can I trust them? Looked up their license. In good standing, current and active for 35 years? So why not, I rolled the dice. George was not only on time but early. Friendly. Nice. And most important, diagnosed the issue on the spot, had the parts in his truck, and charged a genuinely fair price. Summary: The highest-rated electrician on Yelp is a scammer. And seriously professional guys like George, who only got around to Yelp recently (and so have few reviews) look like amateurs. When the reverse is definitely true in this case.
