Use these guys for everything on our multi unit property. Strong recommend. Thank you Current Electric!

When you live in a house as old as mine, electrical problems can occur at any time. My "go to" Electrical repair company has been Current Electric for several years and I am so thankful for their wonderful service! Two weeks ago, I had a record of 3 electrical problems going on at the same time. I called Current Electric and they sent out York. He arrived earlier than expected, which was a great relief, and he fixed each of my problems perfectly! He was very polite and knowledgeable. He explained each of the jobs to me in terms that I could understand. One of the jobs involved my sprinklers and exterior lighting. Living in southern California, you can't be without an operating sprinkler system for very long. York had my sprinklers up and running in no time! I was also very impressed by his devotion to providing exceptional customer service. And on top of providing excellent service, their prices are very affordable, which as a retiree, I am extremely grateful for. Whenever someone asks me for an electric company referral, I do not hesitate to tell them about Current Electric. It is a huge relief to know that anytime I have an electrical problem, Current Electric is just a phone call away! read more

Thank you to York and Mike for helping solve all of our electrical needs. Fast efficient and knowledgeable. York was honest and fixed our electrical outlets, hung our ceiling lamp, and fixed our bathroom heater fan. He was so helpful, professional, and went beyond the scope of his job to make things wonderful at our condo and house. We really appreciate the kindness and care that York showed us in his work and demeanor. We will definitely use this company for all of our electrical needs. read more

Current Electric is so quick and helpful. They went above and beyond to fix my electric problems. Without their help our family would have celebrated the new year in the dark with no lights. I would recommend Mike, he came the same day. He was so professional and so responsive and fixed the issue on the spot. We cannot thank him more! Totally recommended! read more

Current Electric handled my kitchen remodel. They were prompt, efficient, and detail-oriented. They provided general guidance outside of electrical by walking me through how to think about the inspection process. They are the only contractor that I have ever worked with that I would recommend without reservations. read more

I have found my forever electrician! Current Electric came highly recommended and I can see why. They are the best in the business, punctual, incredibly professional, and reasonably priced. Background: My family and I moved into our house a little while ago and from the start I could see that there were problems with the electrical. Previous owner was an electrician and it was clear he took some liberties that were definitely hazardous - example: non-enclosed, non-gfi electrical outlets all over the place outside with exposed pigtail wiring, double-tapped a/c wires, etc. I know basic electrical but this was waaay out of my league and with a large property that had electrical everywhere! Long story short, Current Electric came out for an initial inspection when I purchased the place and gave me a fair price to correct everything. After living in the house for a short time, and dealing with some other priorities, I wanted them to come back to begin the original corrections and I had some additional work for them (installing fans, cutting in new recessed LED lights, replacing switches, installing dimmers, etc.) The team at Current Electric is the best I've ever worked with. From Mike and Steve to Brent, Harry, and Joey, everyone who came were 100%, complete professionals. They took the time to explain what was going on, troubleshooted and corrected the problems, and cleaned up after themselves everyday. They also did not go over their estimate. From now on, I'm not calling anyone else but Current should I need anything related to electrical in the future. 5 stars hands-down! read more

WOW! This company did not disappoint! Mike provided same day service that was prompt, professional and spot on! His technician arrived early and was very polite. He quickly diagnosed and fixed our issue. We are SO Happy to have connected and we highly recommend this business! read more

Steve came out today to figure out a circuit breaker issue! He arrived quickly, tracked down & fixed the problem with ease! I appreciate Mike & Steve & all the guys from Current so much! They are always professional, efficient & fairly priced. They have helped me out of so many jams over the past 28 years! I highly recommend them! Thanks for always being there for our family! Be warned, this company charges by the HOUR for services. When we last used them I noticed that they were moving super slowly, it was really strange! They took fifteen minutes to fold a ladder, walking around like they were moving through molasses. One guy sat in the driveway for two hours waiting for a part, and charged us for it! It became so obvious it was ridiculous. They run up the charges that way. I won't use them again until they reconsider this way of doing business. read more

"Current Electric" has always provided EXCEPTIONAL QUALITY SERVICE over the ten years I've used their company. Most recently, I worked with Mike and York as they did extensive electrical work on my home during a refurbishment project. York, a HIGHLY SKILLED ELECTRICIAN, is a PERFECTIONIST when it comes to ensuring all light fixtures are properly installed and beautifully presented. Literally, there is nothing this man cannot do, and he is extremely patient and kind. Mike, the owner, has always returned calls promptly and offered creative and helpful suggestions regarding unusual projects or issues. I would not use any other electrician company -- truly they are FIRST-RATE! read more

So Steve just finished getting my outdoor lighting situation just the way I wanted. I'm looking forward to not having my lights randomingly coming on and going off, as I'm sure my neighbors will appreciate it too. Steve also replaced a bad circuit breaker switch which left me without a refrigerator and washer and dryer all weekend. Current Electric, Steve , Michael and the office manager Julie (?) have been amazing. They were very professional and worked around my schedule, even with it being a small job. I'm so glad I found them. Thanks a bunch! read more

Worst customer service ever. Called and explained I need a new subpanel. It took 2 days for them to call with an appointment. The day of the appointment I call them to confirm oh yes they say he will be there. Never showed no call no apologies nothing. Do yourself a favor don't waste your time. I would give no stars if that was an option. read more

Nice crew in Montrose/La Crescenta area. Thanks Mike, Travis and all other crews that hard worked at my business. -Ryan read more

I thought I needed a new panel so I called current electric. Mike came and checked it out. He said that it was in good shape and to leave it alone. He could have scared me into a new upgrade but didn't. He was professional and honest. I would call him again in the future. read more

I also found my forever electrician. Mike is knowledgeable, through and extremely competent.

Poor/no customer service. I left a detailed message on the company voicemail on a Saturday for work that I needed done. I know it was the weekend but the business hours indicated that Current was open Saturdays and I called during the hours they were open. It has now been more three weeks and I never received a call back. I guess they didn't need or want my business but an acknowledgement would have been nice. read more

We had many wall switches replaced by Gilbert. He had great suggestions to save time and money and always has a positive attitude. He and his helper wore masks and kept their distance. Our house looks more up-to-date with modern light switches. read more

We needed some electrical work done around our home, and our neighbor recommended them. So we decided to give them a try. They did a great job, were reasonably priced, on time and professional. Since then we've re-engaged them with additional work, and our initial experience with them was NO fluke! If you need electrical work done, these are the guys you need to call! read more

Our decorator recommended Current Electric for installing some can lights and new lighting fixtures (wall sconces). A part of me felt I needed to oversee the job and keep watching what was going on because so many other projects had gone astray when I didn't. But I trusted my decorator and she trusted Mike's men so I did too. What a painless experience it was. Every appointment was kept on time and the work was clean and efficient. Time, which is expensive, was not wasted. The only time something had been forgotten, the electrician on site called the owner of the company who showed up himself to deliver what was needed. i was quite impressed. These are honest, clean, well trained professionals and you can trust them in your home and to do your project correctly. read more

Contracted with Current Electric to install additional recessed lighting in a bedroom, family room, and living room. They also did some other minor electrical work. In general, i am very happy with the work they did. The final result looks good. They did a reasonable job cleaning up afterward, though we still had to do additional clean up (vacuuming, etc) after they left. The guys were very easy to work with. Note that if you want to pay with a credit card, they will charge a percentage fee. read more

I have known Mike for over 25 years. The company has done nothing but continue to improve! The recent addition of a young man, GREAT! He knows all about RING. This was not painful at all, had 2 floodlight cameras installed and the doorbell. I am so impressed. Harry has been with the company and is a God-send of an electrician! What a great combination of people to work, both were knowledgeable about the installation. Such a pleasure called Current Electric, and they got it done! read more

Current Electric has done outstanding work on our commercial building for years on a number of projects large and small. Mike and the guys at Current Electric are A+. I have used them for close to 20 years and they've always done quality work at a fair price.

I recently purchased a Tesla and needed to upgrade the electrical panel at my house. I had a hard time finding an electrician that knows how to work with getting electrical systems to work for a Tesla. Finally I got a recommendation from the guys at Tesla Pasadena. Mike the owner of current electric came to my house and told me my options and gave me a quote. Because of the delivery of the Tesla was eminent Mike was able to send one of his crew to get the work accomplished in a rush. I also had other electrical work done at the house two weeks later. Overall I am very happy with the work and service. Mike and his team are highly knowledgeable. I believe their prices are fair and reasonable. Originally I thought if this company is recommended by Tesla it would be expensive. That is not true. It is very reasonable. I also did check the yelp review before hiring Mike. I was surprised by the low ratings of some of the recent posts. It seems that they probably are reviewing a different company with a similar name. The only downside of this company is that they are good so they have lots of repeat customers. They are busy. read more

I was impressed with their knowledgeable staff who offered me honest advice and didn't try to screw me. It's hard to find good electricians. Steve was fair with pricing, polite and was on time. I plan to use again. read more

I am a first time customer with Current based on a recommendation. We had a circuit breaker that keep going off and I noticed some arcing with conduit in the attic but need a pro. Barrett and Brent showed up early for the appointment and diagnosed the problem in about ten minutes. All conduit and wiring were replaced and now the breaker holds. This was a definite fire hazard that has been eliminated. These two guys were professional fast and a pleasure to work with. I will definitely use them again. read more

Awesome! Professional, complete, clean, collaborative. Will definitely use again, and again.

Cannot say enough about this Company. Mike is honest and dependable! They helped me during a tight escrow, dealing with an over zealous property inspection - despite how busy they were due to heat issues. Cannot go wrong with this company. Highly recommend. read more

Very disappointed with this company's customer service and communication. I made an appointment for an electrician to come out at 8:30am to fix a problem. At 9:30am I called to ask if anyone was coming. The owner said that their previous call was taking longer than they expected, but that they should arrive around 10am. I get that people sometimes run late, but shouldn't he have called to give me a heads up? So I wait around until 11:20am when we call again, but this time nobody even answers so we leave a message to ask if anyone is still coming. Wait some more, nobody calls us back. At 12:30pm I call again, someone finally answers, and I tell them to not bother coming (not sure if they were even planning to at that point). The person was barely apologetic for wasting my morning and quickly hung up. This company apparently seems unable to call if their electricians are running late or won't show up at all. read more

Such a good company. They are truly good and kind people that always do the right thing. They have helped us many times over the years. When we remodeled our house they cleaned everything up at the end of each day. Wow that made such a big difference when my kids got home from school to a tidy home during the hectic days of the remodel. They helped us when we moved our business to a new location, even going out before we signed a lease to make sure that the electrical service was adequate for our needs. Love these guys! read more
