I hired a guy named Steve a year ago today Dec 13 in 2021.I found him very difficult to communicate with. I signed a 1 year guarantee on all parts and labor on existing wiring in place for my 14 cameras at my residence. He was very cordial, patient and did a whole days work. We even drove over to my local bank so I can give him a cashier's check for deposit of $1,625.00 ($25 tip) of a total cost of $3200. Now come July 10th 2022 when my car was broken into I noticed one of the cameras was distorted. I called Steve to let him know. He guessed that it was probably caused by "condensation." Huh? The camera was under an eve in the corner of the garage. I hasn't rained in months. It took him about 2 weeks to come by and when he did he had a camera he was hoping was "compatible." But it wasn't and said it's difficult to find the same model as mine and will be awhile to find one. Huh? Eventually he finds one to install therefore we find out the old one was defective. Later I find out the new camera was not in number sequence 1-14 between my phone and computer. I reached out to him to tell him. Now it's SEPTEMBER and I have trouble getting him to walk me through it over the phone or stopping by. He needs better communication skills. He will say he'll "be there tomorrow." I ask what time? He'll say "before 5 pm." Huh? Then he tells me he has Covid19. Okay but after 13 days later no word from him. I call him and he tells me to call the Technician center with a phone number. I contact them and tell them the issue(s). I ask if I can get another camera guy or talk to his supervisor? They say unfortunately no. He works alone. Steve says to do the job if he has to take out any TOOLS he'll have to charge me a SERVICE call. Huh? On Oct 11 2022 he was supposed to be at my residence at 11 am. At NOON he calls to say he is in HEAVY traffic. He needs better on-time skills too. At 12:07 pm. I call him and NEVER heard from him again. To sum it all up he'll be readily available to receive your money but getting him to follow up on any issues under warranty is not his thing because he is the ONLY go to guy. Terrible. I just moved into a house in tarzana. I needed cameras. I have really big dogs so I had to make arrangements to have them watched. That was a cost and I told the camera guy this. I scheduled the appointment for 7am to avoid the heat. More of a consideration for the worker, it was 107 degrees the last 3 days. He asked if he should call or text, I said calling was fine. But to just come at 7am. So I was actually outside at 7am! Saw him sitting in his car. He never knocked or even got out of the car. He called twice which I admit was my fault, my phone was inside the house while I was outside the house looking at his car. What makes the service of this company so HORRIBLE is that I called him back several times. The job was to take 5 hours so he was not pressed to get to another job. I even offered to pay for his time with extra compensation through text message which I know was received because he has an iPhone. Did not so much as anwser the phone or even text me back. Not very professional at all. I'm sure he saw me outside. I wonder why he never answered? We Goto work to make money right? I can not think of a reason someone would get up and dressed, drive to a location to do a job, then leave! While the person was standing outside, unless the worker did not like the person. We searched for a company that can work our proprietary security camera system. We went looking to go head and add security cameras that can cover all specific areas of our bar, Stove Piper Lounge more specifically we were looking for a specific security camera system that could give us 360° angle view of the Bar to ensure that everyone is safe. Stephen came in and began working on the system and worked on the proprietary security system- there were definite had challenges in regards to disabling passwords on the specific security cameras as well as configuring the system correctly so it is constant and stable.
