Ran into the lady at the front desk when she was unable to park her giant truck correctly at a store, covering up FOUR SPOTS and forcing other cars to park crooked. Weeks later, i happen to come in to get a key replaced and she calls me an asshole several times because of how close my parking was to her (crooked) truck. I didn't even finish handing her the money before she got an attitude, and she kept bringing it back up like she wanted me to argue with her. Unbelievable that people feel comfortable talking like that at work... If you can't drive it, don't buy it! Don't blame your inability to drive on others, and don't be unprofessional. Called RJ up to get a quote on installing a deadbolt and they wan $95 just come out to my house and another $100 ontop of that that's such a rip off these people are con artists. Shop around. read more

I moved into my old 1898 (new to me) house in 2016 and I called R J Lock to install four doorknobs and two deadbolts with six of the same key at that time. A young man stopped by and did the work while being both efficient and friendly! Five years later and a lot has changed, including the need to change all of the locks. I called R J again and they offered a re-key instead which saved money. Luckily they sent the same young (though obviously a bit older now) man, still friendly and efficient and apparently as pleased with the overall R J experience as I am. Wow! I went to this shop today to get some work estimates for the firm. Well to make a long story short I only got to the counter. The most miserable person I've ever been confronted with was on my case before I could ask my quick question. Would you be able to fix my lock on my vehicles! So I asked him if I'd said something to offend him? You filled my car park up with that damn bus, sorry I thought, but I'm a Customer with a quick question on my work round at 8:00 would it be to much trouble. Basic grunts communicated the ignorance of this person, I said tell you what I'll take my business somewhere else where they would appreciate a customer at the counter. Suppose he was rejected last night, with a look like that I'd kick his ass out of it too! No recommendations here GRUNT, grow up. read more

I went into the shop to price an item for my home. Most of the staff were not very hospitable besides one younger guy who was really helpful. The store looked disorganized and cluttered. The showroom floor is literally a concrete room. A pretty terrible experience. read more

This was the worst experience. It took almost 6 weeks to get 2 outdoor gate lock (apparently a special order item) and 50 keys made. The communication with them is horrible. They told us one date and then the customer has to call to find out why that date has come and gone. Then the next date comes and goes and you have to call again. If I had a choice I wouldn't deal with them again but the keys are "do not duplicate" because it is for homeowners association so I have no choice. Would not recommend this company AT ALL! read more

Absolutely horrible customer service and no morals or ethics. They will make a dollar any way they can. I went online friday to schedule a budget rental truck for Saturday. The pick up is at RJ. I get my confirmation and believe everything is set. I setup helpers and plan the whole move. Saturday, one hour before I am scheduled to pick up the truck a very rude woman calls from RJ and says she doesnt have a truck available. I try to explain that I was counting on the truck and ask her why am I able to schedule a pick up for a truck when there are none available. She rudely just repeats that she just got in and doesnt have a truck. I start to say that I will just rent a truck from somewhere else and she hangs up on me just as I speak the words. Here is where it should have ended and I would have let it go and never do business with RJ again. However, Monday I see a debit on my card for $50 from Budget. After my experience with the rude woman at RJ I immediately call budget to find out what is going on. Budget informs me that RJ said I never showed up to pick up the truck. (So apparently this rude woman from RJ decides that after telling me she doesnt have a truck she wants to make a few dollars and puts in the system that I didnt show up just for spite.) Wow! I explained the whole situation to Budget and Budget refunded my money thankfully. I tried to call RJ and speak with a manager to inform them that this woman is not being a good representative for them but what sounds like the same rude woman from Saturday answers the phone. She will not connect me with a manager and says she can take a message. Clearly a message will not be passed on by such a rude and unethical person so here I am writing a review and hoping no one else gets ripped off by such a despicable lack of morals or ethics from someone representing RJ Lock. I recommend finding another business to work with. read more
