A recent event prompted me to strengthen my home's security. I had used Nancy's in the past to copy keys but had no idea they did site visits and could replace door knobs as well as the locks. Jody was very pleasant and efficient and reviewed my choices and the prices. When I shared the event which prompted me to upgrade security she moved heaven and earth to get me the earliest installation which was the next Day! Because they had to shuffle the schedule Nancy herself did the installation. She was quick, yet friendly and thorough, taking pains to be sure it was perfect. Had a problem with a door lock in our home that suddenly wouldn't accept our key. Called Nancy's and Jay came out within 4 hours. He quickly got the lock to work with a squirt of a silicone lubricant and then took the extra step of removing the lock, cleaning it up and replacing all the pins (just to be sure it would stay working)! I find that service above and beyond and he was very pleasant to deal with. The price was very reasonable - under $100! I will call on Nancy's again for lock/key needs in the future! read more

I needed a blank blade on a replacement ignition key cut and discovered how few lock smiths in this area could do that. Nancy's did it quickly and efficiently with no hassle and for a reasonable price. I found this place on Yelp because my driver who was staying at the chambersburg Motel 6 locked his keys in his truck. I called and spoke with Nancy on the emergency line and she was super pleasant and extremely nice. We actually gave her a credit card over the phone which was amazing! After a horrible customer service experience trying to get a duplicate key with a chip made for our Jeep (see review of Shively Motors in Chambersburg), I called Nancy's Lock and Key to ask about having a key made. The friendly woman on the other line told me it would be around $70 for the key with a chip to be made and programmed. She also informed me for this service, we needed an appointment as not everyone could use the chip programmer. We scheduled for the next day. The whole process was very easy. We handed the key over, they duplicated it. Then, Nancy (the business owner) came out to our Jeep and programmed the new key to work with it. She tried it on the doors and started it up with the key to ensure it worked. For around $70, we had a second key. Granted, it didn't have a remote, but we didn't need another remote, just another key. Perfect! Nancy's Lock & Key seems to have nice, helpful people providing efficient and friendly service. We only had one visit, but it was very positive in all aspects. One complaint is you have to park along the street, which I'm never a fan of. However, they're not located on a very busy street, so that's good. I will certainly keep them in mind for us if we need their service, and to recommend to others. read more

I called Nancy's Lock & Key Friday afternoon looking for someone that could help my daughter who locked herself out of her vehicle at a gas station out of town. A nice woman, who I assume was Nancy, went out of her way to check with her technicians on other jobs to see if they could squeeze her in so she wouldn't have to be stranded at the gas station too long. We were lucky that one of the technicians was able to fit her in and was able to arrive at her location in less than 30 minutes and open her vehicle. We appreciate their prompt and friendly service and recommend them to anyone that may need emergency lockout services! read more

We inherited an old '87 Chevy van from a friend, but the keys were nowhere to be found. Since the vehicle is so old, we were unable to get keys made by using the VIN number. We called a couple of places, but received a rather cold reception until we called Nancy's Lock & Key and spoke with Jody. She was terrific, and said that if we dropped off the lock mechanism, they would make a key and several duplicates at a very affordable price. By the next day, we were all set, thanks to Will and Jody.
