The property is in Gettysburg and I am from out of town. I was going to be in town so was hoping to meet them at the property. Called, left voice mail. That was like 3 months ago and never heard back. Guess they are too busy to return calls and don't need my business. I will need a new roof someday. Won't be calling Coldsmith. They have shut off the driveway leaving residents to get parking tickets. They come and work for a few hours and leave. One resident has had to replace his tire twice because of roofing nails left in the driveway, and we literally just did a sweep ourselves, using only our eyes, no magnets, and found four roofing nails in the driveway today. I have never seen such an unprofessional company in my life. Loud, rude, and obnoxious. They seem to do more loitering around shirtless and yelling then actually working. If you need work done, hire anyone else, trust me, you'll feel better in the end. UPDATE, 6/2/17: Update on Arentz Roofing, who is working across the street. They left four nails in the road yesterday. Today I saw them outside and said "Hey, guys! Just thought you might wanna know you left a buncha nails out yesterday, and so far theres already been two flat tires. " I was cheerful and nice. Then some mullet headed piece of shit from the crew starts yelling at me "Why do you fucking care?" and some girl who was there (God knows why, she wasnt working, just chatting with a dude) screams at me "Its none of your business, they are cleaning it up now!" I was like, "What? I am just letting you know you missed quite a few nails." and the shirtless seventies throwback dude starts yelling again, but I cant hear him because the girl is yelling "Just go back inside!!" Seriously, I have never seen such an unprofessional crew in my life. They are still out there, blasting the radio, and basically dragging this job out as long as possible. They communicated very well in a timely fashion and provided a price estimate. I think their pricing is extremely competitive and better than other companies I spoke with. They worked with me to determine which materials I wanted and they did the job within three days of speaking with them. Additionally, they did a great job with cleanup. For the first time I realize I had been hearing a fair amount of outside noise (which I'd apparently gotten used to), because these windows/doors are soundproof; now I don't hear anything at all from outside! And even better, the windows are easy to open, and my sliding glass doors actually slide well in the track, and are not shaking and drafty when it's windy outside -- major improvements from my old, builder-grade, 20+ year-old windows/sliding door. Further, the service crew was excellent -- careful, kind, professional, efficient, and they cleaned up everything afterwards. Roger, the foreman, has been doing this work for almost 30 years, and Jose, who single-handedly carried in/out the windows/doors, has been doing this work for 10+ years. I didn't get the name of the quiet third service person who was mostly outside and on the ladders, also very efficient. fyi, they did mention that working on the 4th floor of our condos from ladders was a bit more challenging as the original builder-grade windows had been made to fit by being packed/taped in place from the outside, which necessitated them having to actually break some of the glass to be able to pull the old windows out. But they did it - and did it well. Finally, Shaun, the project manager who gave me my estimate and oversaw the project from estimate, HOA approval process, to completion, was great.
