Since it was getting close to the end of the day, we opted to end the appointment. Since they were not able to solve my problem despite an hour work, they opted to not charge me for the service. At first, I had multiple positive experiences with CS Electric. They installed my Tesla charger,…read morereplaced my electrical panel, and later worked on my breakers. I appreciated their professionalism during the first few projects. Unfortunately, my most recent service--the most expensive one--left me disappointed. After the work was completed, I noticed that one breaker on my panel was missing a label. When I asked Caio, the owner, about it, I was told that they could not identify it during testing and that it might be connected to a hidden outlet. I was advised to turn the breaker off for several hours, or even a day, and see what stops working. When I asked what the old panel had listed for that breaker, I was told there was no label. As a customer who paid on time and in full, I expected better accountability. Since all of the wiring was stripped and reconnected during the panel replacement, I believe identifying and properly labeling the circuits should have been part of the job. The lack of ownership and follow-through was frustrating. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this service moving forward.

Five Stars! Exceptional work from a highly professional team…read more I cannot recommend Formosa Electric highly enough! They stepped in to fix a highly problematic panel installation originally done by Tesla, and they handled the entire situation flawlessly. From start to finish, the team was incredibly knowledgeable, punctual, and professional. They took care of the entire city permit inspection process and coordinated seamlessly and efficiently with PG&E, completely taking the stress off my shoulders. Their workmanship is high-quality, precise, and clean. If you want an electrician that gets the job done right the first time, look no further than Formosa Electric!

I had a devastating experience with Formosa Electric and lost thousands of dollars due to their…read morefailure to disclose a critical project scope change before taking my money. We hired Formosa for an underground service upgrade from 100A to 200A. Before I made my payment, PG&E had already explicitly notified Formosa via email and provided an official design sketch detailing that a new utility pole would need to be installed in my backyard. Unbelievably, Formosa NEVER communicated this major change or showed me the PG&E design plan. I only found out when PG&E's construction trucks literally pulled up to my house ready to plant a utility pole in my backyard! I had no choice but to immediately cancel the entire project, resulting in thousands of dollars in non-refundable losses. Had Formosa simply passed on PG&E's notification when they received it, I would have stopped the project right then and avoided this massive financial loss. When I confronted them, Formosa claimed PG&E never informed them. However, I spoke directly with the PG&E Project Manager, who confirmed on the phone that Formosa was explicitly notified prior to my payment. When I asked Formosa to share their email correspondence with PG&E to prove their claim, they repeatedly refused. Their refusal to provide transparency speaks volumes. Furthermore, I only learned after switching to a new contractor that legitimate PG&E projects should be linked directly to the homeowner's PG&E account. Formosa never added this project to my PG&E account, intentionally or negligently keeping me completely in the dark regarding the project's true details and progress. Formosa has refused to offer any fair refund or accountability for their negligence. They hid a deal-breaking scope change, took my money, wasted thousands of my hard-earned dollars, and refused to stand by their work. Protect your home, your backyard, and your wallet--DO NOT hire Formosa Electric.
