I called Trane for guidance, they told me to call my local Trane dealer, which I did. In terms of my experience, things went really well with AIR. I was replacing twenty year old furnace and A/C units, and had several companies offer quotes. Our AIR representative arrived on time, provided a thorough explanation of everything we needed and presented one of the most affordable quotes for quality products (not being familiar with the different options available, I did verify the selections/quality ratings online). The installation team came at the exact time promised (actually, saw one of the fellows early, waiting in his car for the whole gang to arrive). They worked HARD but delivered the entire system in one, very full, day. They were respectful of my family, my dog, and my property throughout the installation. Everything is working swell too. The new furnace has a smaller footprint and is significantly more efficient. The furnace now vents through the side of the house vs. the chimney because so much heat is retained efficiently that the cooler vented air needs a lower exit point. The installation of that venting is seamless and clean. The new A/C is so much more quiet than my other unit. Both of our systems come with an exceptional warranty. We also went ahead and got the Ecobee thermostat with wireless controls and that is really handy (especially when we go away for a few days and have that, "Did I remember to turn off the A/C " feeling and having the ability to cool the house down a bit prior to getting home has been great too). Importantly, there are substantial rebates available for increased efficiency units and AIR submitted those documents to Consumer's Energy. Further, they reviewed with me some of the tax benefits available for when I file in the spring. AIR Heating and Refrigeration are five stars in my book.

They asked for some relevant details, and informed me that according to my serial number, it was about 19 years old. He also told me that he could have a crew out the following morning. True to his word, they called first to give me a time and showed up early. They put on booties before entering the house and went right to work. They were friendly yet professional and did a fantastic job. I would not hesitate to hire them again for all my HVAC needs.

I was traveling for work and my wife had no choice but to use this company because they were the only ones who could come out quickly. Big mistake. The tech diagnosed my indoor blower motor issue during the initial $189 assessment. He then quoted over $5,120 for a simple ECM blower motor replacement -- including separate inflated charges for "motor module/program" ($2,488) and "motor winding/special order" ($2,294). He claimed it needed special ordering and programming at a distribution center. After researching the exact model (Genteq 5SME39SL0674), I discovered these motors are readily available for $500-$800 as pre-programmed drop-in replacements from multiple suppliers. Labor should have been a few hundred dollars at most. This quote was 3-5 times what a fair price should be. I could even justify 3500 max in an emergency type situation. But the $5150 is an egregious amount for what was required. I felt completely taken advantage of, especially since my wife and child were in a bind with no AC. The "non-refundable once programmed" line felt like a classic pressure tactic. The service was completed, but the value was nowhere near what I paid. After tried to repeatedly get some sort of costs justification from the Manager during a call the next day, even being open minded to the HVAC system being described as the "Cadillac" of HVAC (2011 purchased and installed by the way) I received no back-up support and feel that this was just such a scammy way to run a company. Because of the blatant carelessness in working with a customer, I will be pursuing other means If you're looking for honest HVAC work, look elsewhere. This experience left me feeling ripped off and frustrated. Never again.

My family has used Day & Night for more than 25 years. They installed and serviced our current…read moreboiler and high-velocity AC system, which is why I am disappointed to be updating my review. In Summer 2025, I called because my AC system was no longer performing normally. It would run continuously during 80-degree weather and could not keep up during 90-degree weather. I have lived in this home since the system was installed and knew that airflow from the vents was significantly lower than it had been in prior years. Because the high-velocity system and ductwork are located in the attic, I specifically requested that the attic ductwork be inspected. During both the original visit and a follow-up visit, I was told the airflow was acceptable, but the attic ductwork was not inspected. Instead, I was advised that poor insulation was likely the reason the system was struggling. After adding insulation, the problem became much worse. When I started the system the following spring, some vents had little or no airflow at all. A different Day & Night technician visited in Spring 2026 and found loose duct connections, which he fixed, and that significantly improved airflow in part of the house. However, the other half of the house still had very poor airflow. I was told that follow-up service could be performed later that week if additional issues remained. The issues did remain, but no call was received and no follow-up service was performed. I contacted the office multiple times over the next two weeks. Each time I was led to believe that service would be scheduled, but it never occurred despite several cool days that were suitable for attic work. After waiting approximately two weeks, I contacted another HVAC company. They inspected the attic ductwork on their first visit and found a compressed duct and a disconnected duct. The repairs were completed during that same visit, at approximately half the cost of Day & Night's most recent service charge. Airflow in the affected area of the home is now dramatically improved and significantly better than it was when I first reported the problem in 2025. Mechanical issues happen, and even experienced technicians can miss a diagnosis. My disappointment is that repeated requests to inspect the attic ductwork were not acted upon, follow-up service that was discussed never occurred, and I ultimately had to hire another company to identify and resolve the remaining problem. Based on this experience, I can no longer recommend Day & Night.
