We didn't really realize until later in the afternoon on Saturday that the air was out. C and C had installed our furnace and we've been happy with that so we decided to give them a call for the air. They were completely booked and told us to call back first thing on Sunday to get an appt that day. They also told us ahead of time the service call would be $200. It would go up to $250 on a Sunday. We said thanks and called Sunday morning right at 8 am when they opened. They already had one person ahead of us that day, and they would give us a call when they were on their way. We mentioned that we had tried to get an appt yesterday but since they were booked we had to wait until Sunday, and they honored the $200 rate for Saturday. In the meantime, I got a couple text messages from them introducing our technician, along with a photo of the tech so we would know who to expect when he got here, which I thought was great and really appreciated, especially if I was home by myself that day. I haven't had any other company do that so far and I really like the idea. The tech was efficient, clean, and wore a mask I'm the house. He diagnosed us with needing a new capacitor, replaced it, and was on his way. Everything took about 30 mins and our house is nice and cool again. Good experience with them and I would recommend

I don't understand these positive reviews. I paid this company $100 to do an inspection. The kid…read more(and I do mean kid) that came out was able to show me on his tablet that the refrigerant in my central A/C unit is slightly below what would be considered a "good" level. I explained to him that my unit occasionally turns off and then back on in very short intervals. He wasn't able to offer any thoughts as to why that might be happening other than my unit is old. Fast forward 2 weeks. Today, I had a different company come out. Within 30 seconds of him taking off the same exact shield on the back of my A/C unit, he saw a frayed wire. Within 5 minutes he had replaced the wire and the problem was solved. One would think that the kid from Comfort Zone would have noticed it. The guy who was here today showed me the wire, it was RIGHT in front of exactly where the Comfort Zone kid hooked up the same diagnostic tools. If I'm paying to have my unit inspected, I'd think a company is actually INSPECTING the unit. I'm tempted to report this to the BBB. What a complete and utter rip off!!!

I do not recommend Detroit Furnace A plumber from Detroit…read moreFurnace came out to my home due to plumbing issues; all of the toilets and sinks were backing up or draining slowly. After looking at all of the toilets, the Detroit Furnace plumber stated that there was not an issue. Before the plumber left, I was able to replicate the issue. The plumber then stated that it could be caused by a number of things, all of which were not covered by DTE's Home Protection Plan, however for $375 he would start by snaking out one of the toilets to see if that was the problem. Believing this to be a scam, i.e. the plumber stated that he wasn't sure of the problem but would charge $375 to initiate a possible solution, I refused. Due to my extreme dissatisfaction with Detroit Furnace, the Home Protection Plan honored my request and sent out another company. The plumber from the other company was professional and very knowledgeable. This other plumber was able to immediately diagnose and resolve the issue, which was covered by my plan.
