I do not see, how this company can stay in business, when they do not do what they said. I went with another company, and it was done the week of 5-1-2024. Unprofessional behavior. Was it because I am a woman homeowner? For the good old boys club, women actually own homes, work, and have their own credit. This is not the 1950 era.

I cannot say enough good things about the service that I ALWAYS receive from Cabarrus Roofing. I've…read moreused Cabarrus roofing several times over the past 20 years and they've always been honest and professional with me. Several weeks ago, my roof sustained some storm damage that required a new roof. There was absolutely no doubt in my mind who I wanted to give the business to. I called Jeff and Gary and they made it a point to quickly visit my home and provide me with a comprehensive inspection and quote. We scheduled the roof installation for 5/31/2022, on 5/30 Memorial Day the owner himself shows up to drop off the crews supplies for the next day (how about that). The crew arrived promptly at 7:00 am yesterday to get started. Let me tell you about this phenomenal crew, they worked together like a fine-tuned orchestra. I could tell they were highly skilled and took pride in their work. The finished job was nothing short of perfection. The crew went above and beyond to make sure the job was done right, and it shows. Thank You B. Stewart

I hired Havana's General Contractors for a residential renovation project. Unfortunately, my…read moreexperience was very disappointing. The project was not completed despite substantial payment being made. At the time work stopped, several contracted items remained unfinished, including: * Sink and plumbing connections * Hot water connection to washing machine * Electrical service to hallway, laundry room, and Tesla charger * Shower glass and tub filler installation * Caulking and finish work Final payment was requested before completion of these items. Shortly afterward, the contractor terminated the project in writing while unfinished work remained. Due to incomplete plumbing and electrical work, I have had to seek additional contractors to correct and finish the project. I recommend that homeowners verify licensing status, permits, and project completion terms carefully before entering into an agreement.

Man, this business deserves 6 out of 5 if I could give it!…read more I had damage done to the bottom part of my roof and my original roofing contractor said it would cost $1500 to fix. These guys contacted me on Yelp and told me they would find a handyman for me that could do the job for cheaper. They did just that and sent pictures of the work when if was done. The main thing that sticks out about this company is their responsiveness. I've dealt with many companies in the Charlotte area and they are slow to respond or just completely unresponsive; as if they don't want the work I'm offering. This company on the other hand collaborated with me in a timely fashion every step of the way. I'll be sure to use this company for any other repairs I need and I'd strongly advise anyone else to as well; you won't be disappointed.

I received a "cold call" from a company claiming to represent Best Roofing Now. The company that…read morecalled said they were with "Roofing Contractors Network" and that "they would be in my neighborhood to do a job next week" - but couldn't tell me which neighborhood, street, or neighbor that had the work being done. They did provide the name of this company that they were representing, as well as the address. My number is on the do not call list, and I have never done business with Best Roofing, or the Roofing Contractors Network. I would not recommend any business that partners with a cold call agency, especially when they do not bother to check the do not call registry. I can only hope that a negative review will cause the owners to reconsider using a cold call agency in the future. Recommendations and quality work should be enough to gain business, cold calls will drive it away.

They made my wife cry…read more.. Avoid this company at all costs. We needed repairs down within a short time frame and they were one of the only teams available - now we know why. I don't have time to share everything that went wrong, but in summary these were the issues encountered: 1. the paint crew was terrible, we had to pay $2k to get the entire house fix by real painters 2. They often times brought their kids to the job 3. Lunch boxes/bags were left outside 4. The floor crew left boot marks on the floor 5. The project manager barely showed up and didn't finish what we paid for. 6. The answer to every question was designed to get more work (he couldn't clean a tub stain, we had to replace the entire tub...but wife did it in 5 minutes with vinegar) 7. The communication between PH and their contractors was very poor - causing them to call us directly for job details 8. They often showed up hours after the communicated arrival time 9. I shared the concerns with the owner who apologized and said he would come visit -- never heard from him again 10. Due to the combination of all these things/delay we had to postpone showing our home to buyers If you love your family, and value your time, don't use pink crews. Going cheap is very expensive!

First, the people aspect of Southern Star is just fantastic. Just wonderful people and having…read moreChristy handle the Customer Service and Jonny doing the estimates just fine people and a barometer to the service and work you get from Southern Star. What they did for me were roof repairs on about a 10 year home. The real reason Southern Star should be a must call for homeowners is I have solar panels. There was some roof damage, caused by squirrels, that precipitated us needing roof repairs. Well, if you have a solar array on your home just getting someone to just look at it has its challenges. Southern Star was the only company I got a response. The only one out of 5. Sure there are logistics to work through when you have solar panels. At the end of the day, the quote given was very reasonable and they were able to do the necessary repairs ASAP. Just surprises all around. If you need repairs on your roof, you should not hesitate to put Southern Star at the top. They are truly super stars in a business that may not have the best of reputations. Thanks to you all.

Started getting estimates to replace our 25+ year old roof and our insurance agent suggested…read moreSouthern Star so we gave them a call. The estimate was scheduled promptly and the estimator Rhett was friendly and professional. Their estimate was in the middle of the 3 we received, but $2,000 higher than the roofing company we hired to install our new roof. When I texted Rhett to tell him we had gone with a roofing company whose estimate was more budget friendly for us, within moments I received a hard sell text telling me how the brand of shingles they used were far superior to any other brand of shingles out there and that I needed to consider that in making my decision. Believe me since this was the first new roof on my house in 25+ years I did my research on shingle brands and didn't choose a roofing company using some bargain basement brand of shingles! That $2,000 we saved is now more money that we are able to spend on other needed house projects.

Let me start this review with the disclaimer that I did not end up using Evergreen's services. Due…read moreto price constraints of insurance only covering our interior repairs costs due to a roof leak, we had to stretch our budget and found a slightly better quote. However, I thought it necessary to give Matt at Evergreen a big shout-out for his estimate process on 9/11/18 for several highlighted reasons: 1) Aside from the roofer we went with, Matt was the only other one who investigated the leak from the inside. I had offered the same option to the first 2 companies who gave estimates, & even to the insurance company's roof inspector, but all declined. Plus, Matt asked about looking at the interior of the leak area before I even advised of the crawlspace option. 2) Matt only sold me on fixing just the leaky area and resulting rot, rather than re-flashing the whole roof line, which had been the go-to (and more expensive) fix thrown out by others. 3) Matt was generous enough to throw together a makeshift patch while he was there, since Hurricane Florence was approaching that weekend and we weren't going to be able to get the leak fixed ahead of the storm. 4) Above all, Matt was nice and respectful, and gave off a very trustworthy vibe just from a few minutes of interaction. A re-read of his other reviews showed many experiences similar to mine with above & beyond work, but without overselling or fixing unnecessary things. Although we didn't go with Matt for our project, you can feel confident if you choose him for your roofing needs!
