We hadn't planned on adding gutter guards, but he mentioned that the prices were about to go up and gave us a total for everything that was actually better than the next company that was pricing only the gutters. Cliff explained everything, showed us the product we was going to use, and it was clearly as good as or better than the competitors. His pricing was much better than the "big box" stores. It was an easy decision to use America's Best Gutters. They showed up right on time, worked straight through without a break, and left the yard absolutely spotless. What they did for me were roof repairs on about a 10 year home. The real reason Southern Star should be a must call for homeowners is I have solar panels. There was some roof damage, caused by squirrels, that precipitated us needing roof repairs. Well, if you have a solar array on your home just getting someone to just look at it has its challenges. Southern Star was the only company I got a response. The only one out of 5. Sure there are logistics to work through when you have solar panels. At the end of the day, the quote given was very reasonable and they were able to do the necessary repairs ASAP. Just surprises all around. If you need repairs on your roof, you should not hesitate to put Southern Star at the top. They are truly super stars in a business that may not have the best of reputations. Thanks to you all.

The estimate was scheduled promptly and the estimator Rhett was friendly and professional. Their estimate was in the middle of the 3 we received, but $2,000 higher than the roofing company we hired to install our new roof. When I texted Rhett to tell him we had gone with a roofing company whose estimate was more budget friendly for us, within moments I received a hard sell text telling me how the brand of shingles they used were far superior to any other brand of shingles out there and that I needed to consider that in making my decision. Believe me since this was the first new roof on my house in 25+ years I did my research on shingle brands and didn't choose a roofing company using some bargain basement brand of shingles! That $2,000 we saved is now more money that we are able to spend on other needed house projects.

At first ABC seemed like a great value.. low cost of installation for new gutters and guards…read more Unfortunately, now that some time passed, the craftsmanship and quality are not holding up. When contacted, ABC decided to deflect and blame the roof (keep in mind no issue for years before the change in gutters) as the issue. Upon requesting them to come out and take a look to fix the issue they responded it would come at a cost.. which I agreed is fine. After several attempts to get someone onsite to diagnose and repair the issue they stopped responding to me. I've since asked other professionals to review and diagnose the issue. As one can see from the photos, a drainage issue was created by installing the gutter guard under the shingle and above the drip edge which created a bump/gap and does not allow water to roll down into the gutter. The issue is exacerbated now that it's had a few years to present itself as shown by the dark staining on the plywood. I now must pay out of pocket to fix the issue at a cost equal to or greater than what ABC originally charged me for installation of all new gutters.
