We'd gone to several…read moreother jeep specialty shops just to be told that they could not even look at the car until September. After finding this mechanic and reading the reviews, I called him on a Monday morning and he was able to get the car in for a diagnostic that day. I (a 19 year old female) took the car into the shop by myself while my girlfriend was at work. As a woman, it's quite common to have mechanics look and speak to you like you have no clue what you're talking about, and most times try to oversell and/or mislead you in the wrong direction. That was not the case with this shop. I went in and spoke extensively with zach -explaining all the parts that had been replaced, how the issue arose, what steps we had already taken, and I tried my best to relay all the information I knew and was given by my girlfriend (who worked on the jeep herself). Jack spoke to me like an actual human being-not a "dumb girl"-and answered all the questions and comments I had. He also maintained eye contact with me throughout our entire conversation, only typing on the computer when I'd finished speaking. What a green flag!! When discussing what we thought was the next step, he gave me an estimate of what he thought the cost would be. He then said "I'm sure if your girlfriend can do XYZ to her jeep, she can do some of the things we might suggest. I will quote you our pricing but just know that it might be cheaper to do it herself if she has the time"-another GREEN FLAG!! They wound up calling us 4 hours later with a quote-the exact quote he'd given me the day before. They wound up replacing the part and the code cleared. However, Zach called us that night and said that while test driving, another code popped up. It only popped once and he could not get it to come again, but he said "I'd like to keep the car another night and test drive it in the morning because I would hate for you to drive off the lot and get a different code." Again-such a trustworthy mechanic is SO SO hard to find. He easily could've handed her the keys after the first code cleared and sent her along. Sure enough, the new code came up again that morning. He called and said he had the part that needed to be replaced, and it was finished that day for almost half the price of what every other jeep mechanic had quoted her. I would recommend this mechanic to anyone, especially jeep owners. They are kind, professional, quick, and will not try to scam you. It's so rare to find an honest and trustworthy mechanic such as this one!

So, I submitted a request for repair work to this place on the morning of the Fourth of July thinking that they'll get around to it later on the week when they can as I wasn't really in a rush. I got a call that same morning, which I missed, no VM left. A few minutes later there was a follow up call, and I was told they could come in today. They requested my address and a photo of my license plate to be sent by text. They explained they had a couple jobs first but would see me right after. I explained I wasn't even expecting this work to happen today so anytime would be fine, we would be home. So after a couple of hours I get another call saying that I was farther out east than they realized and it would take a while to get to me. Again I said no problem, no time was specified anyway. When the guy showed up, he ended up talking to my husband as I was occupied, but it was a really straightforward battery replacement. Turns out the parts place gave him the wrong battery which he quickly realized so he had to head back out. Sure enough, he got the correct battery and replaced mine within a few minutes. Cheaper and faster than getting it towed somewhere.

I was having problems with my car losing power and stalling for just a split second. I originally met Jody through my uncle who had used him to do some brake work. I'm not sure if his rates were different because a MAN worked out my prior deal or what. I called him and explained the problem and he said, "Well it could be a lot of things." Since my engine light wasn't on it would be harder to diagnose. Ok, I get that. I thought I trusted him so I took his word for it and made an appointment. He wanted $70 just to come LOOK at my car. So he gets to my house and starts looking at the engine. Then he asks me to get on my laptop and look up any parts recalled for my make and model of vehicle. I did that and it led us to the problem; the ignition switch. Thus far, he hadn't really done anything to the car. He was making phone calls and smoking and just looking around, nothing taxing or helpful really. He says he's going to take apart the plastic part around the ignition to figure out exactly what part we needed. Meanwhile, just to double check, I called my dad. My dad then informs me that if I call a Honda dealership they might to do the work for free (including labor and part, the part was $200 itself.) I call the dealership and indeed, they will do it for free. Surely a MECHANIC knew this. He thought because I was a WOMAN that I was a dumbass and could rip me off. I go out and told him that I was taking it to the dealership because they would do it for free. He sort of sulked and tried to make me feel guilty about it. DUDE. You almost ripped me off for hundreds of dollars. YOU should feel guilty. Then he has the nerve to say, "Well because I took the part off around the ignition can you give me 20 more dollars??" Wow. He had only even been there for about 45 minutes and did almost nothing. Even if he was doing work, I wouldn't have paid him $70/hr. Needless to say I don't trust him anymore and won't be calling for his services again. If I had let him do the job it would have cost at least $400 on top of the $70. BEWARE.
