During the move, two of my couch cushion pillows went missing. Despite multiple attempts to contact the company via email, phone, and text, I received responses indicating that my pillows were not lost and that the truck was empty at the end of the move. However, I observed that the truck was not empty when the latch was closed--it contained numerous furniture covers, some of which were wet and other Items (some items belonging to the actual movers themselves). Moreover, the photograph of the truck sent to me did not match the truck that transported my belongings. The truck in the photograph lacked an overhead, whereas the truck used during the move had one. Despite my attempts to explain this discrepancy, I was met with unprofessional and rude responses, including remarks questioning "why anyone would want to take my couch pillows" and dismissive comments stating "I Would reach back out to apologize". Although the movers were an hour late and offered an discount that wasn't a discount which was almost forgotten about at payment time. I made every effort to cooperate and work through the issues. Unfortunately, the moving process was poorly managed, with my belongings being inadequately secured and my items, including the missing couch cushions, either misplaced or discarded. Furthermore, I discovered that despite the contract stating that the company had moving insurance, the insurance company informed me that the company has not been insured through them since July. Had I known the company was uninsured, I would have chosen not to proceed with their services. Now my full couch has to be replaced! This Move was an complete nightmare!

I reached out to them about a month before the move and they came out to do an assessment and price for the move. MJ claimed he could fit everything in my 2000 sq ft house in one 26-foot truck in 3-4 hours. I paid the deposit and locked in the date. On the day of the move, the truck and two movers showed up 45 minutes late. It took them over 7 hours to pack the truck, 6 hours to show up at our destination in Sevierville, TN (4 hours away), and another 9 hours to unpack the truck. The truck was parked on an incline and several of my totes fell to the floor because they were not properly secured with straps. I have scratched and dented furniture, a drafting table that cannot be totally repaired because one of the legs has been crushed, broken dishes and smashed totes. To add insult to injury, I was charged $300 for overtime which was not in the contract. His decision about how long it would take and how many people he needed to bring was his error not mine. He and his coworker left while I was paying so I also have no idea how many of my items lay broken in the floor of the truck. I am slowly going through and inventorying all my totes to determine even though I am aware there is nothing I can do other than have the knowledge that those things are gone, damaged, or fine. MJ and his coworker were friendly and personable, but the lack of care taken in handling my move do not reflect the level of experience that they advertise. I reached out to The Movers via Yelp to request an estimate for their services. The owner, Malak, immediately contacted me with pretty good prices. On the day of the move, The Movers arrived on time and moved quick & efficiently. It was a three man group, so one guy was wrapping and taping everything while the other two loaded the truck. The one thing I appreciated about these guys was that they wrapped everything before it left the apartment. Good Customer Service Moment: So I'm guessing during the transit, my flat screen was damaged inside the truck. The tv was showing heavy discoloration. I was around the guys most of the move, as I was loading my car as well, so I didn't recall seeing them drop it. I contacted Malak about the damage, he apologized and also gave step by step of how his team manages televisions during moves. He still reassured that he wanted to do what he could in his power to make it right. He eventually suggested replacing the television with something similar and that was suitable. A week after the move, Malak arrived with a LG smart TV that was better than the TV that was broken. Much appreciated! Overall, I'd definitely recommend Malak and his team for a move. Their ad on Yelp says moving starts at $65, but when I called to get a quote it was $100/hr with a 2hr minimum. So, I asked why their ad says services start at $65--I was only moving a bed, chest and dresser--and the owner said, "Because we had to post a price on Yelp. $65 is only for Seniors who may need one small piece of furniture moved". Minus 1-star: They put a dent in my brand new wall while carrying up an empty chest one minute into moving my furniture. Then, when I pointed it out, one of the movers tried to blame it on me and say the HOLE in my wall must have already been there. Lol... Um, NO! BTW, based on all of the reviews, this company seems to always break at least one thing while moving. +1-star: The owner quickly offered to fix my wall or give me a discount on my final total. -1-star: The owner acted like movers put holes in walls all of the time, as he asked for a picture of the damage and said, "Oh that's not a big deal! It's fixable". I've moved over five times (two being interstate moves) and I've never had a mover break something or put a dent in my wall. This is NOT NORMAL!! The Movers should definitely be more careful. TOTAL STARS: 3 WOULD I USE THEM AGAIN? I'm not sure... I definitely wouldn't use them if I was moving something expensive.
