Where do I begin? Sit tight-this story deserves a moment to read because who doesn't love a happy…read morefairy-tale ending?! I started my "journey" to fix my front tooth at the ripe age of 13. After chipping my front tooth while playing with friends, I was locked in to a long relationship with constant temporary fixes made up of bonding that would naturally yellow, or chip every 2-3 years. Eventually it became obvious that spending $400 out of pocket wasn't the smartest choice which pushed me to exploring a more permanent route: Veneers! I began the search for veneers in the spring of 2022. Getting many quotes, spending many hours to get to (and spend at) these appointments, but feeling very discouraged after consistently being told I would have to "At the very least have all the upper teeth replaced" if not my entire mouth. This came justified that they "would not, and could not match my other teeth with a single veneer!" Who knew single veneers weren't an option? Not me! Still I wasn't sold. Surely someone out there was skilled enough to do it? I was set to find out. Or so I thought... a final pregnancy came and went and in 2026 I was officially done breastfeeding my final child so I decided it was time to finish what I had started! As a stay at home mom with three small boys getting out of the house became an obstacle in and of itself. So like any smart and savvy woman, I chose to scour TikTok to continue my search in finding the best dentist to help fix my smile. Enter: Dr. Byrnes who's video came across my "for you page"... I immediately spotted a free "Virtual consultation" AND her portfolio was flawless. Could this be the unicorn I had been searching for?! I submitted my photos and refreshed my email for the entire next hour. I received a response THAT EVENING! Sure enough Dr. Byrnes recorded my very own consultation stating exactly what she planned on doing! I booked my appointment the very next day. Here's where most unicorn stories go south: arriving to the office. But can I tell you I've never been greeted so warmly by an office staff in my entire life? The whole appointment felt like one giant hug. From the sweetest front desk attendee, to the staff (Ashley is my new bff I'm certain of it) to Dr. Byrnes.. I've never felt so loved and cared for. I immediately knew I made the right choice, with the right people, at the right time. The stars had aligned and Dr. Byrnes was going to fix my front 4 teeth. She even offered in-house financing which made it affordable for my family! Miracles do happen! Dr. Byrnes (aka the perfectionist) went above and beyond to help size my veneers just right. When my temporary's came in i thought i was set on them... then I left my appointment. After looking at them i realized i wanted to change one more thing so i called and she stayed after office hours to wait for me and get exactly right for me. She went literally above and beyond to accommodate my indecisiveness and helped perfect my future smile. I left my final appointment yesterday, and it left me feeling so bittersweet. On one hand I'm so thrilled for my new teeth but on the other-I'm sad to not have any more appointments that felt more like "girl time" than an actual dentist appointment. It is purely an added bonus that Dr. Byrnes is quite literally so skilled at her profession. I'm shocked! How does everyone not know about her?? I'm in LOVE with my new smile. I cannot get over it. I cannot stop smiling!!! I write this review to urge anyone to get past any apprehension you may have to fix your smile. Overpriced, lack of quality, lack of sense of ownership…read more Prior to coming to this dentist, I had temporary crowns installed on some of my teeth. The temps were about a year or so old and in great shape. A week or two after seeing this dentist my crowns came off. No big deal just need to epoxy to put it back on. I never had an issue with my crowns, they fit perfect and the x-rays they took would show exactly that as well. I went in and asked to have them put back on and they were able to bring me back immediately. I was advised $50 and I approved them to continue. The price was not $50 as I found out later through my dental insurance!!! I informed the assistant that the crowns fit great and that everything was fine with them, but they fell out and need to be put back in. She then went to do whatever with the crowns so she could put them in my mouth. She put them in my mouth, applied some pressure and then told me to bite down. As soon as I bit down, I told her something is not right and that they are not seated right and I could not bite down evenly due to the crown preventing. She seemed perplexed and looked in my mouth to see what was wrong. She had me bite down on the blue film so she could see where the contact was being made. I told her again they are not on my teeth right. She then got the drill and proceeded to grind on my crowns. Again, I had no issue with fit or anything with them, I just needed them put back in. We went through 3 rounds of her grinding on my crowns and me telling her that she should not have to do this as they fit in my mouth just fine prior to me coming in. After the third round of grinding away at my crowns, I was able to bite evenly. After she was done, I then went to meet with the staff in the front. I was already not feeling right about what occurred and my crowns felt terribly wrong. The lady at the front even commented about me having concern because I kept rubbing my finger on them. I told her that they don't seem right but I have to leave and get back to work. Two (2) days later, I was eating a cracker and my crowns disintegrated and fell out. I contacted the dentist office immediately and advised of the situation. I was informed I could come in and get new ones in and that they couldn't estimate over the phone to how much they would cost. I have two policies so that I can reduce and eliminate my out of pocket expenses, but so far I have always had out of pocket expenses here. I then found out that one of my policies is out of network at this location. I stated I would have to go somewhere in network. A couple days later I went to speak with the dentist and the billing people. I was unable to speak to the dentist because of the stonewalling as expected. I expressly told the person up front that I felt they were responsible for replacing the crowns due to them damaging them with their drill and after I repeatedly expressed that they fit fine before coming in. I even offered to let them bill my policies for however much they could, but I did not want to pay anything out of pocket. This was my way of meeting them halfway and being kind to let them collect something for the time and materials. She was pleasant, took a picture of the destroyed crowns, and then advised she would speak with the dentist, but she already knew what the dentist would say. (Whatever this meant?). I left and waited approximately a week and a half for a return call. As of this post, I have not received a phone call even after reaching back out to them. I am now out of the thousands of dollars I spent for the crowns, have to take. more time off work again, and pay for new crowns all thanks to the poor care provided and no empathetic concern from the staff.

Then she proceeded to tell me I would be charged a $50 cancellation fee because I didn't give 24 hr cancellation notice. It was completely irrelevant to her that it hadn't even been 24 hr since she gave me the appt & there was NO WAY to give 24 hr notice when there wasn't 24 hr in the 1st place. When I asked to talk with the manager, I was told I could only send her a message because she didn't work in the office. She's "remote." I told the girl I was NOT going to pay a $50 cancellation fee when there was no way in the 1st place to cancel an appt that was made & was already within their 24 hr. time. This is a complete ripoff. So IF someone decides to use this office, don't make an appt the next day, or get sick, or have to go to the hospital, or die or have someone in your family die, because they will try to get your last pound of flesh, not to mention overcharge you or mess up your insurance billing information. I'm extremely disappointed in the way things turned out after being a patient for several years. So now I'm looking for a replacement.

I had a very disappointing experience with this dental clinic especially with location Boulder…read morelane. Today I came for my scheduled cleaning appointment, but the location does not exist anymore. I was shocked. No one informed me that the office had moved or closed. I had to call another location, and they told me they could see my appointment in the system, but the location I went to is no longer there. This is extremely irresponsible. Patients should be notified if an office changes location if they have appointments scheduled!!! Since they moved, I also don't know what's going to happen with my Invisalign. Did they move my retainers to a different location? Which location? I don't know. And nobody called me about it. Unfortunately, this is not the first problem I've had with them. Another time they scheduled me for an appointment regarding my Invisalign. When I arrived, they told me my new Invisalign trays had not even arrived yet. That means I came there for no reason just to talk to the nurse about something we had already discussed weeks before. There was also another situation when I came for an appointment and the receptionist simply told me the doctor could not see me that day. Why wasn't I called or sent a message that my appointment was canceled? It feels like they don't respect patients' time at all. This clinic seriously needs to improve their communication and organization. Very frustrating experience.

I had to contact THEM for them to tell me this, after I saw a letter from my insurance that I owed over 3k for work I had already paid the "copay" for. I had received payment reminders through text messages from an unfamiliar number multiple times, but with no business attached to it (I googled the number to be sure), I had thought it was some kind of scam. It wasn't until I received the same message from Swish through my email on Jan 20th that I realized what it was. I had been seeing them for about a year by this point. Part Two: I worked out a payment plan with Swish and was told that I could text them monthly with the script "This is [my name]. I'd like to make a payment of [$$$] on my account, with the card on file ending in [####]." So I've been doing this every month around the 4th since January. It is now May. Since I was getting help from my parents to pay this bill, I did not have access to the account information to confirm the charges went through. At the beginning of this month (May 7th), I texted them asking for an updated bill, and got no response. So I went onto their website and saw that the phone # to text has changed. So I texted the new # with the same request about an updated bill. No response. I also emailed them. Still no response. Then today, I got a letter in the mail from a debt collector where it looks as though the only charge that went through was the first one (which I did over during the same phone call where I was told I could text their number with the script above). I was receiving payment reminders from Swish through my emails as recently as March, with the debt going down with each payment. But if my debt with them was already sold, then what was I paying them for?

The x-ray machine pulls out of a nice white cabinet in each station so you can sit comfortably in the chair during your x-rays. The stations are closed off so you can't see or hear any other patients. While the office and everything is very nice, the staff is really what sets the place apart. They never act like they're super busy or rushed and they always take the time to sit and make sure any of your questions are answered. After I got a filling done, the dental assistant called me later that day to check on me and make sure I was doing ok. Honestly everyone in the office seems super sweet.

With the help of therapy I was able recently to start searching and came across a Reddit post about this dental office. I emailed them one night with a brief explanation of my problem and how difficult it was to get myself through the door. I got a call the next day from an admin named Linda who was so warm & understanding beyond my expectations. She told me how special the people were there and that they would love to help me through my fears. Not just "we'd love to help you (become a patient)." My first visit was difficult and emotional, but every person in there from Linda to my sweet hygienist to Carol in billing to lovely Dr. Zatopek - all were so kind to me. I especially have to commend my hygienist, Ashley, who went above and beyond with me, and was so gentle, patient and encouraging that when I went back this week - yes, voluntarily! - for a cleaning with her, I didn't experience any panic whatsoever. A huge change. But it was just knowing that she understood, she didn't consider me a burden as such an anxious patient (which I have sensed from others in the past) and she knew how to make me feel safe. I will be going back next month for crowns etc and I feel such a weight lifted off of me knowing I can face that without a lot of stress or turmoil, thanks to the staff here. So - if you're looking for a practice like this, where they are trauma-informed and know how to handle severe anxiety without frustration or condescension, please check out River Place Dental. I specifically asked to be contacted--whether the order arrived or notand that never happened. I've been dealing with Edna at the front desk, and even after paying half of the total cost upfront, I still received no update. This is not acceptable customer service. These young office staff members would benefit from proper customer service training.
