I've been coming to Dr. Miller for a few years now and I'm very happy with the results. Not only just for cleanings but I've had a tooth replaced and while I was quite on edge for that procedure I was made to feel very relaxed and assured! Thanks Dr. Miller! Also Kelyn is always very friendly, patient and detail-oriented for optimal cleaning results. I love getting my teeth taken care of here because the entire staff are all very warm people with kind dispositions who care about my smile! - Roxanne B. read more

Dr. Miller and team exceed expectations every time. From tricky dental emergencies (they were able to get a friend in next day) to routine cleanings, they always deliver. I recently had an appointment with Jonalyn and her attention to detail, deep knowledge, and detailed explanations really blew me away! Since becoming a patient 2 years ago I've recommend North Austin Dentistry to anyone who asks. If you're looking for non judgmental dental professionals who are up to date with the most cutting edge practices that will ALSO not push you into treatments you don't need ... this is the place. read more

I've been shopping for a dentist for years and finally found a home! I LOVE Dr. Miller's office so bad! His entire staff is so friendly and welcoming. I'm extremely happy and confident in our future treatment plan, as well as with the work I've had done so far. 10/10 highly recommend! read more

Went to this place ONLY one time, they had a promotion for free whitening which is a SCAM. They do not perform the whitening at least you need to have some services that you need to pay for. Very disappointed the attitude that the show when you do not need service very dismissiv, aside from when u do need it they are all friendly. Also, I had even a service a cavity which was filled and very very bad job, I couldn't and still can floss between those teeth, and will absolutely not come back as no one should. Very disappointed Very bad service. All a scam read more

Terrible experience! They required 1 week notice for cancellation and if not they charge 100/h for the cancellation! I got the deep cleaning for the right side done and paid the deposit already for the left side. I tried to cancel three days (and lose the deposit) in advance because not only the deep cleaning does not help with my gum but gum inflammation comes back which is worse before I had the deep cleaning. They still tried to charge me 150 because they claimed deep cleaning session is 90 min (and it won't because this includes the full exam time which I won't need for left side deep cleaning). ***Interesting like 5 min after I posted my review they sent me the message saying they will charge me the cancellation fee if I don't take off this negative review. So I understand why there are only few one-star reviews. Funny!!! read more

Leo was incredibly helpful today. He was very detailed, ensured all of my questions were answered and gave great advice. He went above and beyond! read more

I tried this place for a first time and ONLY time for a quick cleaning. They are con artists! Paid my ridiculous deposit (unheard of) and showed up to be conned into believing that I needed a deep cleaning on my back teeth. They refused to give me a full cleaning and tried to charge me up front $500 for this and told me I could come back for it later and if I didn't get it done, then I wouldn't get the zoom whitening which comes with the cleaning for free. I declined to pay for something not being done THAT day! I left with a partial dental cleaning and contacted them multiple times to refund my card the deposit to hold the appointment time $100. I will NOT be back. I am going back to my long time dentist who is a farther drive but well worth it and would never scam me! He also doesn't require a stupid deposit for a cleaning lol. Horrible experience all the way around! Stay clear of this place. read more

I am visiting from Nevada for a conference and my crown fell off. I called North Austin dentistry and they were able to get me in right away. From the front desk, to the assistant to Dr. Mahmoud I felt safe and cared for. They were able to put my crown back on and got me out and back to my conference so fast. I would highly reccomend this office to anyone! read more

Had a filling scheduled and ended up needing another tooth fixed at that visit, Dr. fit it in and I was in and out. loved the smooth visit and was able to get in and out without any fuss! read more

North Austin Dentistry is great! Leo was my hygienist and he made me feel really comfortable during a stressful visit and Dr.Miller was very honest and straightforward but also did not overwhelm me with a million things at once. The front desk are all very nice and communicative and they are clear on the price before hand which I love. The only dentist I have found in Austin that I trust and don't hate going to!! read more

careless and made a big mistake in surgery I removed my wisdom teeth last year at North Austin Dentistry. It was a complicated surgery that the dentist has to cut my gum, cut the teeth into pieces, move them out and stitch up the wound. I can't believe that Dr Miller was no careless during the surgery and left one piece of my wisdom tooth inside my gums before stitching up the wound. I didn't notice the problem for one year but recently they began to hurt and I only got to know it from my new dentist after I took an x-ray with them. If they get worse I have to go through the pains and do the surgery again. How can Dr Miller be so irresponsible to this kind of painful surgery that should have happened at most once in a lifetime for each person. This is outrageous. The recovery takes months and just imagine that I may have to suffer and go through the whole procedure again makes it unbearable for me. read more

Had an appointment and found out I have covid so I called to reschedule. The CSC interrupted me while I asked if we could reschedule two weeks out with "Um we're booked out till end of March so I'll let you know when I have availability", and only seemed concerned with the $50 fee for cancelling. Only went here 3 times and wasn't treated very well so I will gladly pay the $50 to find another dentist that have an ounce of compassion. Any replies with suggestions are appreciated. read more

Dr. Miller is amazing. Professional, caring, and does great work. I had my wisdom teeth pulled and was in my feet the next day. Wow just wow! He charges $500 in advance for a future procedure. I had a much more serios medical diagnosis and asked for my deposit back to have the dental done later. I kept my future cleaning appointment. I get a letter refusing future treatment. I've had several expensive procedures done with him the last 3 years! The last procedure he let the numbing agent wear off working on other clients so he came back and hid the syringe and snuck it into my mouth while I was unaware. I was shaking and about to faint when I left and the woman in the front asked if I was haviong a glucose episode. RUN! read more

I was in the state trooper academy and needed an exam/cleaning for the national guard. This office has openings on Saturdays which is a live saver. Coming into the office it's very nice and the staff is welcoming and great. Did the exam and was told I had one cavity that needed to be filled, they offered to do it right then and there! I had no issues while they were working on my teeth and they asked all the questions I had! Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a good dental clinic! read more

I got into a bad accident that required extensive dental work. Unfortunately, the first dentist I visited provided inadequate care, and I ended up with a faulty implant and crowns that looked terrible and hurt. I visited Dr. Miller, and he gave me a variety of options to correct the first dentist's work. I was very nervous after my bad experience, but he explained everything thoroughly and put me at ease. I am extremely happy with my teeth now, they look amazing. I wish I had gone to see him and his team the first time around! read more

This review is a bit overdue, but likely because I wouldn't even know where to start when raving about THE BEST DENTIST I'VE EVER HAD. I recently moved to Austin and out of nowhere my wisdom teeth began to give me issues. I was freaking out and was uncertain where to turn to- as a temporarily uninsured person. I called a few other dentists, in the Austin area, to figure out what the appropriate steps to take would be; Some locations were rude over the phone, others were incredibly pricey (i'm talking 150+ for the consultation alone!), and the worst were the ones who were trying to sell me on some randooo yearly packages, because it "included the first consultation". Meanwhile, my wisdom tooth is hammering its way out of my head! So, you can imagine my response. I was like...wut? North Austin Dentistry had my business as soon as I called them and felt immediate reciprocity at my sense of urgency. They were able to book me in for a consultation and x-rays right away! The process of removing my wisdom teeth included a brief amount of time on anti-biotics, but the entire process looked a little like this: -From the day I made my first call to the day I went home, post-removal of those little wisdom suckers (avg. 2 weeks) -Post-op was another three days of napping and eating mashed potatoes...aka the typical hyrdrocodone'd adult-sized baby routine (+avg. 3 days) -Tagged on was another few days of sporting the chipmunk look for instagram. (+avg. 3 days) The entire process was suuuper swift, zero complications, stress free, and dare I say? ...incredibly pleasant!! I think my favorite part (besides getting treated by a MEGA RAD DENTIST, and his stellar staff: Linn, Brie, Lindsey, and his assistant Val) was getting to listen to some of the funkiest, feel-good tunes, as I'm getting my wisdoms removed! The procedure began, and for a a brief two seconds I started to get anxious, but that all changed course quickly----I was like hold up anxiety, BRB, because.... "Brass monkey, that funky monkey" ...beep-beep-beep-boop.... It was great. Dr Miller is an incredible Dentist, and much like other reviewers, I would give North Austin Dentistry a higher rating than five stars if I could. However, the internet has determined that humanity, at its absolute best, can equal only a total of five red stars.... So, to my fellow Yelpers and Googlers, I leave you with these golden words from a modern proverb (that I've just made up): Always Trust a Dentist Who Can Rock A Great Playlist. Cheers! read more

Oh my goodness, disregard the 1 negative review. Dr. Miller is hands down the best dentist I've ever had the pleasure of receiving treatment from (and yes I meant pleasure) I'm like most individuals I fear / dread going to visit the dentist. However, Dr.Miller totally made my cleaning a breeze. Super professional, down to earth, had me laughing the entire time. Also... he genuinely cares :-) He was available on a Saturday (since work prevents a normal weekday visit) Basically... It makes a world of difference to have a dentist that cares and is extremely competent in ALL aspects of dentistry. I left 100 percent happy. Dr.Miller is my new dentist and I'm super thrilled and highly recommend him. read more

I was charged $100 for absolutely nothing at North Austin Dentistry! They didn't perform any actual exam, or even look at the tooth with the issue, then charged me even though they didn't perform the services I asked for. They conned me into coming into the office knowing that they weren't going to perform the services I needed just so they could charge me an office fee for nothing! They even told me just now when I spoke with them again that they couldn't perform the service I asked for. If they knew that then why did they have me come in for it? Everyone else gave me quotes over the phone for free, instead of making me come in to get hustled! read more

I was recommend to Dr Miller by my son and am so happy to have found him and his wonderful staff. I was in pain due to a loose cap. His staff if absolutely caring and professional. Dr. Miller & his staff are wonderful! I have high dental anxiety & everyone could not be more kind or empathetic. I appreciate each team member explaining details, timing, what will be done next... I have had Dr Miller do a root canal, crown, extractions and his staff do laser and deep cleaning and I've been happy with all treatments. Their friendly follow-up after treatments to check on recovery and answer questions is also appreciated. I'd strongly recommend! read more

From the very first appointment I have loved North Austin Dentistry. I emailed the office at 11pm one night and by 7:30-8am I received a call back and was scheduled an emergency same day appointment. I've had two painless extractions and arguably the easiest root canal ever. Dr. Miller and his team are amazing in every possible aspect. read more

I have a crazy fear of the dentist...all doctors actually. Dr. Miller (and everyone else in the office) made me feel like I was right at home. I was having crazy tooth pain as a result of my wisdom teeth coming in and they did my exam within the Same week I called, then scheduled my surgery the following week! It was an effortless procedure and an amazing week after considering it wasn't as painful as I thought it would be! Came in for my follow up 10 days later and received only good news! After staying as far away as possible from dentists for 3+ years, I think I have found my new favorite dentist. I even scheduled a cleaning for December! If you're considering seeing Dr. Miller, please do it! I promise you won't regret it! read more

Lindsey was so nice! I had a great check in experience. The surgery and healing process went smoothly.

The worst experience I've had thus far with dental care. I came in this week to get all 4 wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Miller and not only was I in pain the entire procedure and will NEVER forget the feeling of him yanking while I wasn't completely numb (despite informing him several times that I have had issues with anesthetic in the past and would likely need more than a typical patient), but I have been in severe pain every day since (I'm now 3 days post-op and have followed all aftercare procedures). I want to point out that I have had several surgeries- 2 of which were rhinoplasty- and never had ANY issues with pain management after those procedures. The prescription written for me for pain is obviously NOT working if I have been in severe pain for three days with NO relief. I have not been able to eat or drink or sleep for more than 30 min intervals. Just walking hurts. My husbands had the exact same procedure done three years ago and had no pain after the first day and recovery was painless. I know this is not normal. We called after the first day and expressed to the nurse that I was in a lot of pain and she excused it by saying they did the best they could. No apology or attempt to resolve it. I had my husband call in for me this morning to see what to do about the pain, and they told us we had to turn in the medicine we already paid for out of pocket JUST to get a new prescription written. Mind you- we already paid over $2,000 out of pocket for the procedure and have 4 kids under the age of 6 that we are having to juggle while I'm recovering and now have to find a way to go back into his office just to find relief from the pain. What in the world does he need with my paid for medication? Horrible experience, horrible customer service. read more

Thank you Dr.Miller and your great staff, for helping me smile again!

Dr. Miller and his team are simply fabulous. Kind, professional, and welcoming - all the qualities you want in a dentistry team. As a new patient, I was a bit nervous in my search for a dentist in Austin, but I am so glad I found North Austin Dentistry. I am normally quite afraid of shots and dental procedures, but Dr. Miller and his team put me right at ease. I had 3 cavities filled today and the procedure was as seamless as possible! His front desk staff is caring and super helpful with any questions you may have. I definitely recommend Dr. Miller if you are searching for a great dentist in Austin! read more

Dr. Miller and his staff are always accommodating and friendly. I do not understand the few negative reviews because I also got all of my wisdom teeth removed here, and the whole process went off without a hitch. Yes, the part where bones were extracted from my head was undoubtedly scary and uncomfortable; but I received exceptional service from the entire office during the whole event that made it bearable. I even was prescribed to watch one season of The Office (my favorite show) afterward with my pain medication. Anyone who approves of spending hours watching Michael Scott is #1 in my book. Dr. Miller is genuine and takes the time to build rapport with his patients to make them feel comfortable. This is the reason why I keep going back. read more

I've been to Austin Smiles exactly twice, and I will never EVER set foot there again. The first time I went was when Dr. McCarty still owned place. I went in for simple recontouring/buffing. I had asked whether the procedure would increase the sensitivity of my teeth, and his exact words were "no, we're going nowhere near your nerves". Immediately after I got home, I ate a bag of chips, and noticed that one of the teeth that was buffed was really sensitive when I bit down on a chip wrong. I didn't think too much of it - not like I can go back and have them UNbuff my tooth, right? Three months later, the same tooth became a lot more sensitive, and I could neither chew nor even brush near the tooth. I went back to Austin Smiles, and this time Dr. Massa was in charge. This is what happened: She greeted me condescendingly with a "when was the last time you had your teeth cleaned?" EXCUSE ME? I was out of the country. I'm not paying for lip from you. Her next sentence was "you definitely have cavities" - this was before she even took an x-ray or examined my whole mouth. She then took an x-ray of the tooth in question and informed me that it was fractured about 80% of the way. Instead of showing me the x-ray, she tried to point it out on the tooth, and then immediately handed me a form to sign to authorize a crown procedure. Oh yeah, she also told me my teeth were probably stained because I drink too much tea. Way to be stereotypical, lady. I don't drink tea. This is the part where I got up and left after paying an outrageous exam fee. I went to a very trusted dentist from my boyfriend's family to get a second opinion. He examined my supposedly fractured tooth with light refraction and found NOTHING. Nada. No fracture. He also did a full mouth exam + cleaning and found NO cavities. He explained that the tooth may have been experiencing some torque/pressure, and the brain was readjusting the nerve's sensitivity. Sure enough, the tooth only hurt for about a week. So my final words are: unless you like being swindled out of your money while damaging your teeth, STAY AWAY FROM AUSTIN SMILES!! update: went to a third dentist who took 4 different x-rays of said tooth. Definitely NOT fractured! :) read more

I am now 50% less wiser... #sad BUT got my top two wisdom teeth out today and it went AMAZING! I absolutely loved Dr.Miller! I was unbelievably nervous the whole time up until he walked in the room. Dr.Miller is great about making sure you know everything is going to be okay! And guess what? It was so easy and there was literally ZERO pain involved! It's ridiculous how calm and collective he had me. I'm so happy I went to him and his AMAZING staff that are there for you 24/7! Such a great workforce and I highly recommend them. read more

5 Stars!!! I was originally referred to Austin Smiles by a fellow co-worker who has been a patient since 2011. Though I only had a few appointments with Dr. Massa before Dr. Miller took over, he absolutely carries on the standard of excellence Dr. Massa built and is one of the best dentists I have personally experienced! Dr. Miller and his staff are incredibly professional and truly care about the well-being of their patients. They put them first by taking the time to thoroughly explain procedures and provide truly helpful education along the way. I greatly appreciate that he is willing to ask questions first in order to understand me as a patient and make personal recommendations around maintaining healthy dental habits from there. The location is right off of Mopac which is very convenient if you're traveling from downtown ( where my office is ). Most importantly, their staff is incredibly welcoming and make it a point to know you by name when you walk in - you just don't get that type of customer service these days! I am extremely fortunate to have discovered Austin Smiles and would pass along my highest recommendations for anyone currently looking for a trusted Dentist!
