This is a really great QT location. First of all it's super convenient to the highway, and to IKEA, so if you're out and about running errands it's an easy spot to stop in for gas, a restroom break, or to pick up a treat. The last time we were here it was primarily because it was a hot summer day, the ice cream machine was out at IKEA, and we decided we'd stop here for a little cheap snack. I ended up ordering an ice cream sundae, and I'm not kidding, if you all haven't had a QT milkshake or ice cream sundae you're missing out. They are worlds better than mcdonalds, and you can get a lil mini one which is plenty to satisfy my sweet tooth. read more

This location is off of 35 highway and Johnson Drive. Some locations are bigger than others. I love coming to this location for gas and snacks. It is very close to my house and I usually come here for snacks when seeing a movie. The workers are friendly and quick. The gas stands are usually in good maintenance. I would definitely recommend Quiktrip for a nice gas station in the Midwest, they have the best food and coffee.They usually keep it nice and clean and fully stocked with food products. read more

I know they've only been open for about a week, but here a few suggestions for improvements: 1. If you're going to have a smoothie station you need to have somebody there. I'm not going to wait 10 minutes for somebody to wander over and see if I need something. 2. You need to have boxes for donuts, not just bags. 3. Would give no stars if possible. Walked in to get munchies and juul pods, having the juul pods rejected. The guy at the register scanned my girlfriends (26) ID. Every quick trip requires a valid ID which is checked by scanning, because fakes don't scan. This guy had the balls to say that with a mask on she looked like a relative to the ID photo at most, 26 years old. Thanks for the compliment I guess. How high horsed do you have to be to turn away a sale that scanned acceptable, while you need a valid scanning ID to even open the transaction. Quick Trip to the rescue! Long story short: Traffic kept me from getting to my chosen store for my mom's Mother's Day flowers and after a 45 minute detour around the city, I was left desperate. I needed gas so pulled into this QT expecting to fill up and grab a water bottle. No expectations. I left with everything I expected and so much more. Now, before you flog me for purchasing Mother's Day gifts at a 'gas station' please keep in mind that I was already late leaving the city due to said detour and this place is like the Buckingham Palace of 'gas stations'. Tho please do not tell Her Majesty The Queen, that I said that. My grandmother and mother are like queens to me so I would probably not get them presents at a normal station. Walking up to this QT, it simply looks like a large but normal QT. On the inside you are greeted by shiny new floors, walls, bright lights, and yes, a FULL ESPRESSO BAR! I already had coffee that I had brought with me from work or I would have tried it. From the looks of it it seemed like a very Starbucksy kind of coffee place but still, we're way above those powdered 'cappuccino' machines of stations gone by. I finally found the water bottle and a snack to munch on to stave the hunger headache that was starting due to be an hour late to lunch already and as I stressed, wondering if Hen House across the street had any flowers or cards left, I stumbled across an aisle display with beautiful roses! And better yet, they were yellow and a pinkish-purple which were exactly what I was wanting to get at the nicer, more acceptable flower store I had been planning to visit. Yes! Finally a stroke of luck on the day that had already not started very smoothly. There was a bit of a line, I imagine because of the holiday traffic, but multiple registers were open and I was in and out of that place in 5 minutes. QT, thank you for helping me save the glares from a very sassy mother and even sassier grandmother that I would have been subject to had I shown up empty handed for either one of them! Another family get-together was successfully survived by all and I have now learned my lesson to not wait til the last second to buy flowers... but if I do, I know you'll have my back! read more

QT stores across the metro are going to this new layout with expanded food and drink offerings. I'm a fan. QT keeps their stores in top shape, the employees are almost always super friendly, and it is one of my go-to spots for gas, a drink, or even a donut on the way to work. read more

Quiktrip is always my preferred gas station. If you've never been in a QT, now is the time to go. They are consistently clean. This is a MAJOR issue for the women I travel with. Speed and efficiency of the clerks is another plus. Even if there is a huge line, they can always get you in and out quickly. The only downfall in my eyes is that they don't sell 100% gasoline. They sell gas with up to a 10% ethanol in it. Yes, all cars are fine with this gas, but I find I get better gas mileage with 100% gas. Also, QT tends to be cheaper than most gas stations in the same area. read more

I have never been treated so rudely in my entire life. I tried to turn in my tips from work for bigger bills. I always do at my quick trip in Overland Park on Riley street. The people there are so nice and always so helpful. When I tried to turn in 100 ones for twenties at this location, the assistant manager picked them up and threw them back towards me on the counter like a dirty rag and just gave me a dirty look. It was so rude I smiled because I thought he was joking. Then he goes "what am I supposed to do with that" again it was so extremely hateful I thought it had to be some sarcastic form of bad flirting. I said "are you serious" and he replied "yes I'm serious I'm not taking that" and proceeded to ignore me and help out other customers I can't believe that I received such horrible treatment from a quick trip employee if this man has made anyone feel as small and insignificant as the way I have today I thought the company should know read more

I'm a fan of QuikTrip - it is my go to gas station anywhere I go. I feel deep sorrow for my friends in Colorado who are forced to suffer at 7/11and the likes... honestly, besides 7/11 I can't even think of a name of another gas station. However, I have never felt "loyal" to a specific QT location until this one opened up by the new IKEA. This QT is by far the nicest, friendliest, and SAFEST gas station I've ever been to. I never feel uncomfortable if I have to gas up my car at night, which is a big thing for any woman. The staff at this location is amazing - but I'd really like to give props to my boy David at this location. He has been beyond amazing, and has really become a friend to me & my husband over the last few years - we see him probably a few times a week as we are big fans of the puppy chow & sneaking candy into movies Little did we know, David had ALSO made a lasting impression on my FIL (father-in-law) when he had previously been at a N. KC location. Whenever we'd touch base with my FIL & he would tell us about his day, it would always include, "Then, I stopped off at QT to pick up my diet coke, and the guy I'm buddies with, David, was in so I was telling him about how I just got done moving your sister out to Phoenix...." Well, as you know, it is a small, small world - and even smaller in KC. My FIL was house sitting for us one day, and stopped by "our" QT (for his diet coke, duh) and was SHOCKED to see David at this new location. FIL was so excited to tell my husband he had ran into him! That is when we realized his David & ours were one in the same. I've been meaning to send in a compliment for a while now on David, this location, and how lucky QT is to have him - but when this random connection happened, I knew I had to. I think this really speaks volumes about the type of people QT hires, your corporate culture & David as an individual. For my husband & I and my father-in-law to have all had such memorable experiences with the SAME employee, over many years, and many different locations is a truly unique experience. Talk about consistency! Anyways, this QT is the best & if unicorns were real, David is the closest thing to it QT has. read more
