The fries were just average but not "in and out" bad. And the dinner roll was just there. Maybe the tortilla would have been a better choice. I did get an extra thigh by accident which was nice. The service was pretty good. The manager came around to check on every table. The place seemed well put together and clean. Though seems kind of short staffed when it gets swamped. I've never been to Killeen before and what they say is true. There's nothing to do but look at gun stores and hobby lobby.

Pollo Campero has held a special place in my heart since childhood, serving as my go-to chicken…read morejoint during my formative years. It became a nostalgic staple for me, particularly during my college years when I visited El Salvador. However, I must say that there are notable discrepancies between the Pollo Campero locations in El Salvador and the one I recently visited in Killeen, Texas. When comparing the Killeen location to those in California, I noticed distinct differences in both taste and quality. The pricing at this location is quite reasonable, especially considering that an 8-piece chicken meal can comfortably feed 4 to 5 adults. This meal also comes with two sides, which adds to its value. The drink options are diverse, featuring favorites like horchata, mango, Jamaica, and various Pepsi products. Upon entering, I found the establishment to be clean and tidy, which is always a plus. However, I did encounter an issue in the restrooms, which had a strong smell of weed and a non-functional light fixture glowing with a red light. This aspect stood out as somewhat sketchy and detracted from the overall experience. On a more positive note, the customer service was exceptional. The cashier, named Edward, was extremely helpful and caring, making my visit all the more pleasant. His attentiveness and friendly demeanor truly enhanced my dining experience. In summary, while Pollo Campero continues to evoke fond memories from my childhood, there are areas for improvement at the Killeen location. Nevertheless, the reasonable prices, generous portions, and outstanding customer service are reasons enough to give it a second chance.

I'm a wing fanatic so this place is always a MUST when going to Texas! Delicious wings and sides…read more From Asian spice to lemon pepper and even Dr Pepper, Pluckers is the spot to go! Wish they would've kept the AYCE wing option but still a business I'd happily give my $$ to. Always have had friendly service and seating has never been an issue (when speaking wait times)

I was actually shocked that we were seated immediately, especially on a game day, and even more surprised that the large booth was available for us. That was definitely a great start to our visit. The TVs were at a moderate volume when we first arrived, but once the game started, it became extremely loud. I could barely hear the people sitting right next to me, which made it difficult to have a conversation. Our food also came out at different times, and there were quite a few waits in between getting everything we needed. The appetizers came out quickly and were hot and fresh. However, we didn't have any plates or utensils when they arrived, so we were using napkins as plates until our server brought everything over. The first round of wings was good, but we were missing some of the sides and vegetables. This wasn't a huge issue considering how busy they were. Once the rest of our food came out, the wings were dry. We had to send them back and asked for them to be made extra wet, which was how we originally ordered them. Our server was nice and attentive throughout our visit. She was helpful with anything we needed and continued checking on us. Before we left, she also provided us with drinks to go, which we appreciated. I understand that a football game on a Sunday can make things hectic at any restaurant, but the inconsistent food timing, missing items, lack of plates and utensils, and dry wings made the experience less enjoyable than expected. One thing to note is that gratuity is automatically applied at checkout for groups larger than six.
