Who knew a gas station could offer such a wide assortment of food, merchandise, and home goods? We tried some of the fresh jerky from the counter, some brisket sandwiches (get the XXL one), a banana pudding, pralines, and candied pickle chips. The candied pickle chips were insanely good with the brisket sandwich. We need those in Canada. I have never seen them before and am obsessed. There are so many flavours of jerky. I recommend them all quite frankly. The pralines were good. The banana pudding was more vanilla than banana but it wasn't bad. I just love Buc-ee's and will actively go out of my way to visit in the future.

As a matter of fact, you start seeing signs more than a hundred miles from each location. What you will find if you get off the interstate at one of these is not just a place, but it's an experience:) The first thing you will find is a parking lot that's as crowded as a major city at rush hour. Then you will find about 120 fueling stations that you can fill your vehicle with usually the cheapest gas/diesel in the area. The newer ones even have electric charging stations. Then you get to go inside. Most of the new stores are about 79,000 square feet of food, beverages, snacks, and all kinds of touristy stuff. The folks working there will greet you and seem to be happy to be there. If you look at some of the sign's advertising for workers, you will see one of the reasons why. Salary at the lowest end starts at about $27 per hour and go all the way up to several hundred thousand dollars for a store director annual salary. If you need to use the facilities, head on back to the back of the store. You walk into a huge bathroom with enough spaces so that you probably will not have to wait. On top of that, the restrooms are so clean! Will I return? Definitely!

Unfortunately, the quality of the fountain drinks at several locations has declined significantly. Recently, it seems Cefco "serviced" their fountain stations and remapped the drink selections without actually changing or flushing the delivery lines. As a result, the flavor carryover is terrible--at multiple stores. No amount of flushing will get the root-beer taste out of the Diet Coke, and every drink ends up tasting off. This is especially disappointing considering Cefco has some of the highest fountain drink prices in the Temple area. If customers are paying a premium, the quality should reflect that. Right now, it absolutely does not. I hope Cefco addresses this quickly, because I've been a long-time daily customer--but the current fountain drink quality is making it hard to stay one.

Thanks to spending well over a decade in the area and changing insurances a good number of times, I've used pretty much every pharmacy in Bell County. I have accounts in enough places I probably look like a dealer (I'm not. Promise!). So when I was given a prescription that was both rare and time-sensitive to receive, I figured I could find at least one place that had the drug in stock. Boy was I wrong. I called eight pharmacies in Temple explaining the situation and asking if they could order it. EIGHT PHARMACIES. This CVS was the only pharmacy that showed any concern at all. They rush-ordered the drug at no cost to me and I had it less than 24-hours later. Hannah, one of the awesome techs, called me as soon as she knew they could get it in so I could stop panicking. And this was at the end of the month when they're slammed enough with refills. They didn't make a bunch of money off this one prescription, but I will happily brave the 31st Street traffic to support a business that actually cares about helping its customers!

This review is based on the gas pump experience…read more So... I already had one really good 7-Eleven gas run experience at another 7-Eleven about 2 hours away a few days before. Days later, Hubbers and I were on our way from Buc-ees nearby when we realized we needed to make another gas run. We made comparisons, and this one (in comparison to other gas stations sorta nearby enough) was cheaper. Sure, it was a couple of cents cheaper, but cheaper nonetheless. Like the last 7-Eleven pump run, it asked if I have a phone number associated with the 7-Eleven app which I did. And like that last run, just having that phone number ended up saving me an extra $0.11c/gal discount. So it turns out, this place really is way cheaper than ones anywhere else near the vicinity - simply just for being a 7-Eleven app user! Was it a good run?! Yes. Was it a good cheap-gas run?! ABSOLUTELY. I don't visit this 'hood often enough, but the next time I come through, this place for gas refill will be first on my radar.
