Had our Whole House Fan installed in late June of this year and have been using it since then..Specially during those extremely sweltering summer days of SoCal. Similar to the review of many folks here, I totally admit of the regret of not getting this installed earlier. Despite of having a perfectly tuned and new Air Conditioning system, we used to suffer from poor cooling upstairs in our 2 floor house. During very hot days it would take hours to really feel the cooling just with our AC.. But this QCGuys Whole House fan is cooling and circulating fresh and cool outside air in like 5 to 10 minutes. We have infact stopped using AC during nights now. Now coming down to the Quiet Cool Guys, there name itself speaks a lot about them..Lol.. They are totally "quiet cool" with their service..Probably one of the most professional and educated contractors I may have worked with in a long time. Contacted QC Guys for an estimate and was advised they would call me to set up installation once approval received for the six months no interest payment. I was approved but never received a callback. I contacted them about scheduling ​installation and advised to leave a voicemail for Josh. I never received a return call to schedule my installation. I guess they did not want my business. I went with AC Electric and had my two homes installed with the QuietCool Fans within four days. read more

The summer nowadays are harsh and rough compared to 5 to 10 years ago - True or my feeling ? I live in Carlsbad and use AC for about 2 to 3 months before. But couple of years I run AC too much and my electric bill hits the roof. So I looked into the whole house fan option and called couple of places. Quite Cool call impressed me out of them. Drew took the call and that guy was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions from specs to installation and warranty / service call etc. He gave me a quote reasonable compered to others. I suggested onsite visit by the crew to explain and then wanted to decide. Tommy and Mike showed up on time and conducted themselves very professionally. Brought various capacity fans to show and discuss. It was a good discussion and they offered to install it right away if I say yes as they had the proper size of fan for my house. I went ahead with the idea. They took care of my floor / wearing booties etc during the installation. Checked with me where I want the switch and installed it neatly. The work was professional and clean. They also cleaned the area well before they leave. I was impressed with the work of Tommy and Mike.W. Please call them if you want to install the unit in your home. Once the installation is over they demonstrated how effective the system is and also explained about the unit on how it works. All in all I am very satisfied with my decision and the work of quietcool guys. After the installation I have not turned on my AC yet ( ! ). Let me see how it goes for rest of the summer. It's been just over a week since we got our whole house fan installed and I'm very pleased with the end result. This whole house fan definitely lives up to its name...it's "quiet" and brings in the "cool" outside air. Prior to having a QuietCool fan installed, we had a different house fan that was extremely loud. It was located next to our bedrooms. We couldn't turn it on while we were going to bed because it was annoying. Tommy and Mike W. came over to install the QuietCool. They had to remove the old system and put in the new one. They worked efficiently and completed the task within 1.5 hours. They laid plastic down on our carpet where they had to walk/work and also covered our clothes in the closet (attic access). They didn't leave a trace of their presence behind except for a "quiet" fan that brings in "cool" outside air. We finally have a fan that we can run while we sleep...it's QUIET!!!!! My husband and I had been debating getting a whole house fan since we bought our home 2 years ago. We live in east county and it can get pretty hot during the summer months. Worse than that is even when it would cool down we couldn't get enough air flow to go through our house to cool it down to a reasonable temperature. After suffering a terrible summer we did our research and decided to contact quiet cool. They gave us an estimate over the phone based on the square footage of our home, 1200 square feet would cost approximately $1100 for the fan and installation. They came out within a week and after assessing the property were prepared to instal the same day. Installation took 2 hours and the total cost was within $100 of the quote given over the phone. The difference in our home was immediate. Having the fan on for a few hours in the evening or early morning gets our house down to a temperature that doesn't require air conditioning even when east county is in the triple digits. After an initial first appointment was a no show, Sonny and David were both professional and friendly. They apologized for the first appointment. After assessing my home's attic to verify an adequate crawl space and a location to install the whole house fan, they determined that this install would be challenging. There was not adequate crawl space or access through my attic. David proceeded to literally crawl on his belly through an area of the attic to pinpoint the exact location to install the whole house fan. Then they created the opening through the ceiling of our hallway, into the attic to accommodate the fan. Initially, when they explained the unusual situation, I was ready to accept that my home would not accommodate the whole house fan, and I would continue to endure hot summer nights. Sonny reassured me that they would be able to complete the install. They did so in a timely manner, everything was professionally finished, cleaned up all debris, and the fan has worked amazing. We bought a new house and immediately called these guys to install a whole house fan. We have a 3,300 sq foot house and were concerned about the electric bill, especially in the summer. We had one large one put upstairs and a smaller one in the master bedroom. This is by far the best upgrade we made to the house. We run the fan in the morning and at night on hot days and the house stays cool for most the day. We rarely have to run the A/C. We just had our fan installed and we are really excited to start using it! From my first conversation with Drew to the having it installed has been extremely seamless and straight to the point. Drew is very knowledgeable and was able to tell me exactly what system he recommended for our house and what the price would be. I had a Quite Cool Fan system installed in my house yesterday. I got a 6400 and two gable fans. I have a 3200 square foot house in Vista and the system does a great job cooling off the house. It take about three to five minute to get the cool air circulating and I can actually feel it circulating as I set in the living room. It is pretty amazing. I have a large property with two houses on it. With electricity prices going up and the incredible Southern California heat I wanted to find a better way to cool my house. I called and explained the design of my house and indicated I was concerned about proper ventilation with all of my vaulted ceilings. I've had a Quiet Cool fan for three years and just installed another for the kids bedrooms. It's by far the whole house fan you can buy. There is a great 10 year warranty and it works like a charm.
