You might drive passed this place a dozen times and never notice it. If you did notice it you might not give it a 2nd look, much less go in. But you, my friend, would seriously be missing out. If my grandma were Chinese (and still alive) I can imagine her whipping up a meal like you get here. The food is simply made with Love. Fresh, high quality ingredients cooked to perfection by someone that obviously takes great pride in their product. Just like grandma....but with more spices. I couldn't decide what I wanted so I ordered pinneaple lemon chicken and hot and spicy chicken, both at spice level 8 along with some fried rice. I almost ordered some wontons but I didn't want to look like a pig ;-) The hot and spicy chicken is not like Vietnamese hot and spicy chicken....this version has a lighter sauce and they use real pieces of chicken, not the mystery pieces like you see at many places. Big juicy slices of chicken paired with fresh vegetables. The lemon chicken also contains real white meat chicken, battered and lightly deep fried with pineapples (of course) and a terrific lemon sauce that is not overly sweet like many are. This is probably not normally a spicy dish but I think that the added heat put this over the top. And the fried rice? Also terrific. Next time I will probably bump the the the spice level to 10 but I will say that at 8, both dishes definatly had some kick. You never know with these places...too many cater to the wimpy Scandinavian palate when setting heat levels. Great little place. So glad I stopped.

Love the concept of this place. Rough looking little place with only a few tables... (these usually have the best food) Very friendly folks taking your order and the food is FRESH and delicious! This is primarily a take out place. There are only 2 tables inside. Ordered the hot & spicy chicken (level 5 spicy) Spice was perfect and the flavor of the food was great! Great portion sizes as well. Certainly the best Chinese I have had in awhile! Enjoy!

I'm so disappointed in myself for not coming here sooner! So tasty, not much to look at on the outside, I suggest carry out only. But man, this was incredible. Take that, Hong Kong!

I've lived in SSP for 8 years and Wong's is THE only Chinese place we eat at. It's always delicious and more than enough for our family of 7

The server was very friendly and informative, even joked around with us a little. It didn't look like reservations were needed, except maybe on busy days like Mother's Day. The food was amazing. Potstickers were, of course, super good, but so was everything else. Portions were generous. I got the pork belly fried rice and I think I have enough leftovers for another three or four meals. There is a small parking lot in back, but you have to walk around the building to get to the door. I would say it is not handicapped friendly. If you park in back it would be hard to get to the door unless you are able to make it half way around the block. If you park in front it is just street parking. My dad uses a walker and we were lucky enough to get a spot right in front of the restaurant, anything else would have been a problem. Spacing inside the restaurant is pretty tight as well. Once dad sat down they had to take his walker into the back because there was no room in the seating area. We were packed in pretty tightly and very close to the table next to us. Overall, delicious food! We will be back!

I have witness more than once when I go there etiquette are not being enforced on people that eat there. During dinner time I went I saw a young boy around the age of 12+ constantly picking food with his hands. At his age he should know better but I feel like the worker working by the food should have said something. He picked a crawfish, crab claw, cookies, and sushi with his bare hands. This same boy also grabbed a bowl, walked around rubbing, fisting the inside of the bowl and proceeded to put back that same bowl back with the clean bowls. Again the worker just watched him and did nothing. A previous time I went I saw a older lady complaining to the old men that works there about how cold the string beans was. When she got done talking to the old men she picked up a wonton with her hand that had gloves on in front of the old men that works there. He said nothing to her. Tongs are there for a reason to pick up food. Another incident a lady dropped a wonton on the ground. Instead of her just leaving it on the ground she thought she was doing good by picking it up and placing on the counter. Little did she know that 5 seconds later a worker picks up that dirty wonton on the counter and puts it back with all of the other wontons. I get the place does not want to be wasteful. However when food is out of the tray and on the counter it should not get placed back with the clean food. They use a all purpose rags to clean the counter. Nasty stuff gets spread from those rags. Now people are eating contaminated food. All of my experiences in this buffet has to be some kind of health violation. It is just beyond nasty. I will not likely go back to this buffet.

Happy 2026 yelp community! We came to this buffet to celebrate the new year with sushi but we're…read morepleasantly surprised with a specially curated buffet for the holiday. The price was more expensive than the initial buffet, but it was well worth it with the choices that were served. Soft shell crab, frog legs, snow crab, and many more seafood dishes we're served alongside traditional buffet dishes. You can also pick up items from the sushi counter, the hibachi grill, pho station, or dim sum station. You will not be wanting for variety here. Service was very friendly and the staff were very quick to remove plates, trash, and any items to keep the tables nice and clean. Stafford also very friendly and chatty and really brought the experience together. A great way to kick off the year. We will have to make note of this special buffet for years to come. Regardless, this buffet always receives high marks from the locals and has been enjoyed by us when we've come in the past during their non-holiday buffet days.

I did not expect to see the lobby filled with people lined up to pay for their meal or to get seated. The Thanksgiving rush seems to be between 5 and 6 PM. I enjoyed trying things like squid salad and fried sushi. The squid salad was a little tough, but tasty. The fried sushi had melty avocado and cream cheese inside. Thanksgiving featured turkey that seemed to be seasoned with ginger, which was a nice change. I was pleasantly surprised by the fried frog legs, and I wish I knew how to get more meat from the fried tilapia with the tongs they provided. The tiny chunk I got was very good. As I hoped, the Chinese restaurant standards like baby bok choy, beef broccoli, and dry-fried beans were pretty good. Thanksgiving dinner had a Black Friday sale vibe about it, with people walking swiftly back to their tables, plates piled high with oysters or crab legs. My spouse thought the oysters smelled fishy so I'm glad I just got one for each of us. Given the busy-ness, the staff kept the buffet area reasonably clean and pleasant to use, but I still ended up with stray seafood stuck on the bottom of my shoe. The staff I interacted with were pleasant and helpful, but I was disappointed that I got no response from the management after asking about the Thanksgiving buffet through their website form on Monday. I thought three days was a decent response window. Like Tokyo itself, there was not much Japanese food at Tokyo 23, but I knew not to expect it. The bathrooms were decorated with images of women dressed in Japanese kimono, but they looked like knockoff copies of Japanese art. I did like the Chinese decorations in the entryway and the kitschy selfie-ready fountain and fiberglass figures.
