Staff at checkout was energetically friendly and I left thinking that I wouldn't mind going back at all. There's limited parking directly in front of the shop but more across the road. Apparently the co-op was established some 80 years ago and has gone through several transformations. I have a soft spot for local businesses and independent grocers, so here's hoping they stay open for many more years.

W here they are better at what they do is the selection of deli food and ready to eat grab and go. I always grab a breakfast sandwich or a slice or a burger when I'm on the way to or from work. The food is solid and flavorful. Never dried out or sitting too long. I'm quite sure they realize that this part of the store is important to on the go folks like me. And it shows. The breakfast sandwiches are the best thing they do by far. Eggs are cooked right. Bacon is flavorful and cooked right. But, the best part of these sandwiches is the roll it is on. Not sure if they do them in house or if they truck them in, but they are right on point. The biggest thing I have found about convenience store sandwiches is the rolls are typically overly chewy. These are not. Tasty and not chewy. Only thing I would recommend is for them to heat them a bit before they put them out. Sometimes they are absolutely cold when you open them in the car. I usually wait until I am home and pop them in the microwave for 20 or 30 seconds. Other than that, spot on. Had to review based on those breakfast sandwiches, but I'll tell you, I've never had a bad food item from here yet. Give them a try. I recommend it.

Upon entry there was a mass of people and no direction from staff that there was no wait to order. There was no greeting and no acknowledgment. The space is cute but decor seemed unfinished. I waited 37 minutes for one drink. Instead of first in and first out, I literally watched baristas greeting friends and family and making their drinks first as already paid customers stood by and waited. Not cool! Also, training shouldn't take place on opening day. Baristas shouldn't have to scramble asking how much ice they need to use or who knows how to make matcha when the cups are 30 high and there are 60 people waiting. No joke, they had cups lined up and instead of working together striping cups with syrup while shots were pulled, 3 would stand there while the fourth made one drink. It was an allergy to efficiency. The last straw for me was watching a person who ordered a red eye get handed their espresso and told to assemble their drink at the drip coffee station around the corner which on a side note is low enough for a child to access. You should never pay to make your own drink. I think in time they can learn not to trip on each other and learn how much ice a cup takes without asking but basic customer service should be on point from the get go. The lack of almond milk is a personal deal breaker for me especially since they seemingly offer every other kind of milk. Kudos for the in house syrups and the drink that I did get was good, just not $8 plus tip good.

Nothing more than what you'd expect from a place like this, and certainly nothing to complain about when you consider all of the great deals they provide. I recently had a disturbing and infuriating experience at this Cumberland Farms location. I went in…read moreto purchase two Gatorlite drinks, advertised as 2 for $5, but they rang up as $5.50. With tax, the total came to $5.94. When I pointed out that the sales tax should be $0.40, not $0.94, I was met with disbelief and outright hostility. The employees insisted that the $0.94 was the correct tax, despite it clearly being an error in their system. Instead of addressing the issue, the two employees--both of whom were of a different race than I am--ganged up on me. Their behavior quickly escalated from rude to what felt like a racially motivated attack. They repeatedly insisted "it's the tax," in a mocking tone, refusing to listen to any explanation. I was laughed at, ridiculed, and made to feel as though my concerns were invalid simply because of who I am. It felt like I was being singled out and demeaned based on my race. Eventually, they asked if I even wanted the drinks, making it clear they had no interest in resolving the situation or treating me with basic respect. What's even more concerning is that they claimed every customer is told "that's the tax" and no one ever complains. If that's true, then Cumberland Farms is potentially collecting illegal sales tax on thousands of transactions per day. Now that this review is public, if Cumberland Farms doesn't address this issue with these employees, they could be guilty of negligence and should be fined. I hope New York State gets their $0.94 tax on this transaction, which I doubt will happen under these circumstances. For reference, my receipt number is 221-2080, in case Cumberland Farms wants to do their due diligence and investigate. This was, without a doubt, the worst customer service experience I've ever had, and the fact that it appeared to be racially motivated makes it all the more unacceptable. Unbelievable that this is what customer service has come to today. I would recommend screening and better training of employee's zero stars if I could. This was definitely not about the 50 cents per transactions theft , but the principle of the matter .

She became agitated; slamming ingredients around at the blender, yelling to the other girl in the back. I should have cancelled and left right then and there. Store was dead -- one couple waiting at the pickup end, nobody in line. She wasn't slammed. Five, ten minutes go by. She hands the couple their order, makes another smoothie in a blender and sets it on the far end of the pickup counter AWAY from me without a word or a glance my way. It's bright red. I ordered strawberry-banana-blueberry. This had no blue in it anywhere. I figured it wasn't mine. Another five or ten minutes pass. She's glancing at me from afar now and then. Still no blue smoothie shows up. Finally I walk back down and ask about it. She tells me the red one from ten minutes ago was mine. I realize she had let me stand there waiting as retaliation for not tipping upfront. Dirty trick... Here's the part that gets me: I tip in cash, at the end, based on how the service goes. That's the whole point of tipping. But the second she saw no tip on the card screen, she'd already assumed how this was going to go and fulfilled her own prophecy. Places need to stop showing employees who tipped in advance and who didn't. I've watched this same thing happen at Five Guys -- tip upfront or face slower service and vaguely deniable hassles like mine. Never going back to this one.

They offer a good variety of healthy smoothies including fruit blends, vegan, energy and immune boosts and acai bowls. I ordered a small Gladiator Cold Brew smoothie ($6.99 plus tax) which was made to order quickly and had a blend of protein, bananas, cold brew, ice, and milk, blended together. This smoothie was cold, sweet and had the coffee flavor I needed on a hot and humid day outside. They also do mobile orders with the pickup counter in the front. The smoothies and bowls are made ahead of time for those orders and kept cool in a glass cooler until the customer or delivery driver comes in to pickup.
