Food: Quick stop to pick up some simple bites before a long drive. Ordered a latte along with their freshly made cookie. The coffee and baked good were both delicious! Not something I would purposely drive out of my way to get however if I was passing by, wouldn't mind taking a quick detour to stop by! Cost: I did find the prices to be a tad more on the expensive side. Environment: This place is fairly large- there are tons of seating available inside and they also have a backyard seating area as well! Would recommend sitting outside if the weather is great- it felt very peaceful. Service: Good service- it looked like there was only one person working when I came to visit. If things got busy I can imagine there being a bit of a wait time. Uniqueness: Cute cafe to grab some home baked goods and coffee, especially if you'll be around the area!

Another swing!

I've driven buy this cute shop multiple times on the way to hikes, finally made it in. How cute and you can get a pour over. AND.. happens that the coffee comes from my favorite roaster, Brewtus in Delmar. So that was delicious and so well done! Lovely hand crafted pottery for sale (bought new mugs) along with the full line of products from "Underground Alchemy" in Troy. Bought all of the baked goods in the case. That's for tomorrow's breakfast. This is just such a lovely space, wish I lived closer. Will absolutely be back.

The coffee is excellent and they have homemade baked goods. My English muffin with jam and butter was scrumptious.

My wife and I stopped in on a warm winter morning and got a few baked goods and two drinks to try. I had a rosemary vanilla latte and chocolate pistachio sourdough bun. She had a masala chai, and olive/feta/rosemary focaccia. We started with the bun & focaccia. The bun pulled apart nicely and had the subtlest hint of sourdough. The chocolate wasn't overpowering and matched the pistachio flavor nicely. It was a bit messy but delicious nonetheless. The bun was deliciously moist in the middle which was my favorite part. The focaccia was thick and full of flavor. Personally not being a huge fan of olives, I think the chunks of olive were a bit too large for my taste, but that's personal preference. I won't take points off for that. The drinks came out after a few minutes. The latte that I got had some nice art on top, and the rosemary taste was very pleasant. The chai was also quite nice, I like the taste of masala as well. My wife got oat-milk with it which gave a nice nutty flavor to it. Staff was very pleasant, as well! And the environment is nice and cozy with some plants in the corners and a nice city-cafe feel.

The final verdict was the lemon poppy seed gluten free olive oil cake which was incredible! I couldn't believe it was gluten free. I also got the pop tart and it was not only SO stinkin pretty but absolutely delicious. I love the space, it's so quiet and relaxing and the fact that it has all the pretty plants and chill space to get some work done. I ended up sitting outside since it was nice and sunny and wanted to enjoy the last bit of sunshine and outdoor space before the cold keeps us cooped up inside. Can't wait to try their other baked goods and drinks next time I'm in Troy!

Most bread baking…read morehappens in large facilities or in artisan shops that sell high end breads along with pastries, coffee and sandwiches. It must be difficult for a bakery like Bella Napoli to be profitable at their size, but I'm happy that there are still bakeries like this around. Their slogan is the selection brings you in and the Taste brings you back - and I would say that is true based on the wide selection of breads, cookies, pastries, and cakes that I saw at the Troy location. What brought me in to Bella Napoli was the opportunity to buy fresh small hot dog rolls to go with Helmbold Small Franks. I also bought an Italian bread and boston cream donut. The italian bread is the kind of italian bread that you grew up with if you grew up in the greater NY area - crispy crust with soft white interior and pillowy crumb. It went great with some spiedies and I'm looking forward to using it to wipe up tomato sauce when I make pasta for dinner tonight. It toasted nicely and maybe I'll make some garlic bread too. Boston cream pie donuts are one of my favorite donuts and I always try them whenever I visit a new bakery. The boston cream donut at Bella Napoli was good - not bad, but not great. The cream filling was good. The texture of the donut was a little dense, but not bad. If the donut texture had been lighter, I would have rated it as great. The only minor issue was that the chocolate glaze had a developed a little crusting, but that probably means that the glaze was based on sugar instead of using corn syrup - which I appreciate.

No matter how busy and congested the Latham location is, the staff are always welcoming and pleasant Although the selection was comparable, the attitude of the two ladies at the Troy location was terrible. The surprising part of the visit was that we were the only two people in the store. I can only guess that the ladies were having a bad day or they were tired and just wanted to go home. Those young girls should understand that a smile and a pleasant attitude goes a long way. I now know that even though the Latham location is much busier and can be congested at times, it is still well worth the wait and I will no longer visit the Troy location.

It's cute inside and the service was friendly and informative. They let me know that EVERYTHING, even the puff pastry is made in house!!! Very impressive! I bought a couple glazed donuts to make up for the horrible pastry and donuts that I had this week from elsewhere. I'm so glad I did because they were fresh made and moist and the glaze was still wet! If nothing else they made was good, I would go back just for the glazed donuts! But everything is great so let's keep chatting! I originally decided to drive there to get the cinnamon bread that I remember as a kid. Unfortunately they were sold out. But they did have what they called Easter bread, which is s rich egg loaf, similar to Challah with red and golden raisins in it and the dough is lemon flavored. I bought a loaf of that and brought it home and made epic French toast with it! I highly suggest you do the same! I also tried their spinach pastry and "pizza" pastry, delicious! All the dough here just melts in your mouth without leaving a leathery film on your tongue which means it's real pastry made with butter! I have thus resigned myself to the fact that I will be gaining weight soon due to the frequency in which I plan to keep visiting this place haha!

Everything always tastes fresh, and it's honestly hard to pick a favorite. I love their cannolis and cupcakes, but you really can't go wrong with anything in the case. It can definitely get busy, but the staff is always super friendly and they know how to keep the line moving fast. I picked up two Valentine's Day cookies, a lobster tail, and two large cannolis--items I've enjoyed from them in the past. Unfortunately, this visit missed the mark. The lobster tail was soggy and lacked the crisp crunch I normally expect, and the cannolis were also soggy. That was especially disappointing because those are usually my favorites. The Valentine's Day cookies looked cute, but underneath the frosting they were dry and pretty flavorless. I really wanted to love everything, especially since I've had such great experiences here before, but this time the quality just wasn't there. I'm hoping this was just an off day, because I know how good Bella Napoli can be.

I don't remember when I had a more perfect chocolate cupcake, each time I've come here, the quality and service are perfect! Consistency and good service is what I look for. The attention to detail, hospitality, and kindness from Christian, the young man who works there, is exceptional. As I wrote before, the bakery shares the parking lot with the Yemeni coffee shop Shibam next door. The Yemeni coffee is just perfect with Sweet Elevation's treats, so don't miss this spot if you visit next door. I hope they can work out on doing something together. I've gotten hooked on Sweet Elevation's chocolate cupcakes. I'm having one as I write this review (these really are the freshest and best chocolate cupcakes) with some Yemeni coffee from next door - who knew how perfectly they go together. I'm very picky when it comes to cupcakes, and these are so soft, fresh, moist, fluffy, with perfect frosting with the sprinkles! Each time! It's really cute inside the cafe. What I'm most picky about is service, and I'm impressed with Christian, he's a respectful gentleman, knowledgeable, and really helpful with recommendations. Responsible, helpful, paying attention, intelligent. People my age often complain about the younger generation, they should meet Christian, our world's future is bright with young people like this.
