Fresh, tasty, made to order food! Tons of vegetarian options! I tried the orange peel tofu and veggie chow mein. The owners are also so kind. I didn't know what to order and they made tons of recommendations without making me feel rushed.

Yummy Chinese food that's made to order. Easy to place your order over the phone to pick up within 15 minutes. Staff is always friendly, and the portions are big. It's always busy whenever I go and pick up by order. We easily get 3-4 servings from each item we order. We always order: - Orange peel chicken: crispy chicken in an orange sauce with chili peppers, not spicy at all - House special fried rice: pieces of shrimp, chicken, and beef all stir fried with rice, egg, and veggies. Very delicious - Shrimp chow mein: thick noodles stir fried with veggies and shrimp

I am a very happy gal!!! Wow!! This delicious kung pow beef lunch special is huuuge the portion is basically enough for lunch and dinner for me. I chose a salad today and it came with a dumpling that was so yummy it didn't get a chance to join the group photo. Will definitely be back since I'm just minutes away. Customer service is phenomenal very friendly I believe the owner is a one man show he took my order then got to making it right away and it came out incredibly fast, fresh, and flavorful!!!! I was very impressed

I took some time looking up Chinese food around the area and this had a pretty good rating. I called in for a lunch pick up order. The lady was so nice and I was excited. Wish I could say for the food definitely old chicken. It's dry. There was no sauce and I got bits of dried up batter barely any chicken they seasoned it well, I'll give that to them. I also ordered cream cheese wonton. I did not cream cheese. So disappointed.

Quick Wok is one of my favorite lunch spots to grab lunch whenever I'm in the Sabre springs area . Service is amazing always . Highly recommend ordering by phone for pickup if you're in a rush . The center also has good parking .

First time trying this spot and it did not disappoint. This place is a family owned business and you can tell that they take pride in their food and service. The people were friendly and welcoming, the seating area can fit maybe a few groups of people, and it had a good stream of customers coming in, some seemed like regulars. I had the lunch special, which is around $11, and you get to choose from a long list of entrees, I had the broccoli beef, steamed rice or for an extra 50 cents (which is what I did) you can have fried rice, a choice of either small house salad or hot n sour soup, and a choice of cream cheese wonton or pork dumpling. I decided to not have an appetizer this time, but the portions they gave were more than enough. The ingredients were fresh tasting, the fried rice was really good, but I have to say the broccoli beef was perhaps one of my favorites in San Diego. The beef is thin strips and not the fatty thick pieces you normally get. This beef was very well seasoned, and practically melts in your mouth with how tender it is. I highly recommend becoming a regular at this place, I know I will be.

One of my husbands favorite places for lunch, simple, no-frills place, just good food!

Food: Good Chinese Food, all the favorites. Drinks, none available, their soda fountain broke years ago & they still haven't fixed, so thats a bit weird and annoying but they do offer free water lol Service: You go to the cashier to order, but they drop off food at table, if eating in. Don't expect warm and friendly, this is a mom & pop place with good food & pricing, so don't get hung up on typical customer service. Ambiance: Simple, no frills and clean!! Price: $27 For 2 @lunch included tax and gratuity, no drinks.

Chicken lo mein, I took the chicken out to "showcase" it's just heavy breaded fried chicken pieces
    Christina P.

We were in the area and I just needed a small side of chicken lo mein noodles. The cashier told me it only came in one size and would cost $12. When we got back to our hotel and opened it, I was disappointed with the quality of the chicken. We threw it out.

Beef noodle soup - excellent flavor overall, including a strong broth and a nice, soft texture to the noodles. Out of the countless Chinese restaurants I've visited for beef noodle soup, this makes its way into the top three. 5/5 Lamb skewers - wayyyyy too dry. This is certainly not their specialty, and asking for extra cumin to sprinkle on the lamb did not redeem the firmness. I struggled to slide the meat off the skewer and ended up just eating it while still on the stick. 1.5/5 Fish fillet - so good. Easy to eat texture-wise. Caution -- a bit saltier than it looks. The bell peppers in particular were seasoned spectacularly. 4.5/5 Dry fried green beans - a delicious option for vegetables to add to the table. Most people will enjoy this one in my opinion. A bit more crunch than I expected, which is not a bad thing. 4/5 Double cooked pork - I've never seen it cooked this way, and am not a fan. I'm used to a more oily version of this dish. It contained a bunch of dried and crunchy... yams? Potatoes? Overall, the dish was mainly crunch with no flavor, and contained a relatively small amount of pork. 1/5

It can get pretty busy just got to put in some extra time in the neighborhood or streets for metered parking. Seating: Inside and outside seating. For inside, reservations are recommended. Room for about 50 people. Vibes: Welcome to North Park, a lot of eateries and bars to hop around. It's a pretty hip place with constant traffic. The spot itself is Retro Chinese-American aesthetic with a modern twist. Think red lighting, plants, and a playlist that keeps the energy up. It's one of those spots that feels trendy but still approachable--good for dates or catching up with friends. FOOD / DRINKS Mayo Walnut Shrimp (Recommend) This is one of their standout dishes--and for good reason. Crispy shrimp coated in that creamy, slightly sweet sauce with candied walnuts. It hits that crunchy + rich + sweet combo really well and is easily one of the safer bets on the menu. Green Beans (Recommend) Simple but solid. Good balance to the heavier shrimp--fresh, slightly savory/umami making it a nice side to round things out. Ginger Lemonade (Recommend) A refreshing sip with a nice bite of ginger. SERVICE Friendly and efficient, especially considering how busy it gets. Food comes out fairly quick once you're seated. TL;DR OVERALL 4 stars. Steady prices, good food, and good choices. Fun spot with strong vibes and solid Chinese-American comfort food. It leans more elevated takeout-style than traditional, but that's kind of the appeal. I've been to pretty good Chinese spots but this is a nice experience if you're looking for nice aesthetics and good food. After some search on Yelp, we decided to try Eastern Dinasty on Convoy Street. Upon arrival, we knew the restaurant was legit when we saw shiny and beautifully roasted ducks dangling in a display box. Inside, it had a casual décor, with seating for 60 guests. The courteous waitress guided us to our table and brought the menu and water right away. For this visit, we ordered the following dishes: West Lake Minced Beef Soup: The portion was large enough for 6 people. The lightly starched broth was nicely seasoned with hint of white pepper. In the soup, there were bits of minced beef, chopped green onion, and stirred egg whites. The simplistic soup was warm, velvety, and pleasantly flavored. 3 Item BBQ Combo (House Special Chicken, Roasted Duck, and Pork Belly): The house special chicken was nicely steamed, lightly seasoned, and with beautiful gelatinous skin. The roasted duck pieces were plump, with crispy skin and succulent meat. The pork belly had crispy thick skin, and tender meat with nice rendered fat without being overly greasy. Walnut Shrimp: The portion was quite generous for the price. The lightly battered shrimps had a nice firm texture and were covered with mayonnaise and sprinkled with sweetened and crispy walnuts. What a beautiful blend of taste and aroma. Left the restaurant heart-warmed and extremely satisfied. Highly recommended.

TL;DR It's really good. I was born and raised in LA, so I've had a lot of Chinese food growing up, and I wasn't expecting to be this surprised--but I really was. I ordered the black bean eggplant and the salt and pepper chicken wings. The wings are what they're known for, but I have to start with the eggplant because it completely caught me off guard. It wasn't mushy at all--crispy on the outside, perfectly cooked on the inside, and coated in sauce without losing its texture. Every bite had depth and balance, not just saltiness. I actually meant to start with the wings, but the eggplant was so good I ended up eating half of it before even getting to them. By that point I was already getting full, but I still made sure to finish the wings--and I'm honestly excited to take the rest of the eggplant home as leftovers. By the time I got to the wings, I understood why they're popular--crispy, flavorful, and super satisfying--but what stood out to me was how both dishes complemented each other. One rich and layered, the other crisp and bright. I never got tired of eating, which honestly says a lot. I even told the staff how much I enjoyed the food and they thought I was joking, but I meant every word in saying I thought it was comparable, if not better then the food I've had in Chinatown in LA. Really glad I came here and the next time I have a chance to come back down to SD I definitely will come back here and that's not negotiable for me

They were drowned in salt! The Crispy Beef was nothing but thick dough with no beef inside. To add insult to injury it was BURNED so badly that all you could smell was burnt dough and taste burned dough. Hardly any sauce on it as well. The Shrimp Fried Rice should have just been plain white rice for how bland it was. The Vegetable Chow Mein literally was just a container of salt. Slim noodles and salt, disgusting! We spent so much money and all of this is going right into the garbage. Stay away from this hole! It should be shut down for trying to poison people. Im not sure what it was but it was way too sweet. I didn't like that. My shrimp, however, was pretty good. On a side note, you cannot take these entrees to go, they're part of the buffet. This buffet is totally worth it bc of the crispy pork belly, bbq pork, and shumai. Honestly, let's be real, all of these items would be extremely expensive elsewhere. Why they get 4 stars and not 5. The food is not warm or hot. Its cold and when food is cold, its pretty gross. Unfortunately our food was cold. We stayed there long enough for them to replenish some things. Yes, there's a wait just like at any spot that's actually worth it. The place is small, so come…read morewith a little patience or just order to go if you're in a rush. We tried a few dishes. The green onion pancake was crispy and golden on the outside with flaky, layered bites. The sweet corn with chili dumplings had that perfect balance- slightly sweet, a little heat, and super juicy filling. The green pepper with corn dumplings had a light crunch and savory flavor. The standout for me was the Beijing zhajiang noodles. That was probably my favorite. Noodles were perfection. The owner was kind. You can tell it's a family-run spot, especially with the sweetest little girl helping out, which made the whole experience feel even more genuine and homey. We were seated in about 20 minutes, which honestly isn't bad at all. Free parking lot. Will be back soon.

So there is a line that lines up quickly and hopefully hopefully you get a seat. I don't think the biggest table can be more than four people. There's also a kiosk where you can order to go. The menu is very simple. I feel like the dumplings are actually a great price for how many pieces you get. Service was fine. The food was good but nothing solid out to us, I could taste the freshness in the dumplings but maybe because they're boiled, they were a bit bland to us. Definitely needed the sauce with it. Maybe we will be back to try something different. Overall 3/5 for the dishes we ordered that evening
