So today I went and need to get a vehicle title in my name. I went back to quick plates as the first time I used them was easy and very quick. Today with the current situation going on it was a little different. You must wear a mask outside the door to be helped, so ok. I gave the info to the person and I had asked several times if she could speak up as its hard to hear someone with a mask standing behind a plastic barrier. She asked my how I would like to pay, I said debit pls and then I was told I have to give her my PIN number so she can enter it on the machine. I was not going to do that so I said No and she said then you have to pay the 3% charge for the credit option. I asked if I could enter my own PIN number instead and save the 3% fee and she said no because no one is allowed in. I asked her even with a mask on and temperature check. She said no, so I chose credit with the 3% fee as I had no other choice. The Irony of this situation that they can't have one person go in quickly and enter the PIN for their debit card to save some money for a banking fee. I look inside and none and I mean no one inside the office is wearing a mask. 4 different people inside this smaller office space without mask and yet they can not let someone enter to use the debit card reader to enter a PIN. To me its just stupid, I get that they don't want anyone from outside in their office to come in but yet no one inside was wearing a mask. So do all the people that work there all cohabitate as to not spread a virus? I mean they are worried about some one coming into the office but yet no one there is wearing a mask amongst Them. The 3% fee is not the issue but the irony as to not let someone in because of the safety factor but yet no on inside is practicing safe standards which is required by the state Health and Regulations dept. Right? Why is there a fee for a credit use anyways this business charges a $55 convince fee to use their service and avoid DMV which is well worth it. I don't know, and what's the difference between a bank and this company with the no entry policy when no one inside is practicing safety standards to begin with. Maybe its just me, who knows anymore. At least I got the paperwork done and I went upon my day. read more

I would give this place 10 stars if I could! My experience with them started by calling them before my husband and I went in to transfer a title to a vehicle we had recently purchased. I think I spoke with Becky on the phone and I explained my situation with having purchased a non operational vehicle. She walked me through everything I needed to know and calculated how much I would end up owing since we had to pay penalties for the vehicle being registered late. My husband and I himmed and hawed on whether to actually go to the DMV to avoid the additional fee for using their wonderful services or maybe even joining Triple AAA, but finally decided on sticking with Quick Plates solely based on my wonderful experience on the phone with Becky. Fast forward to today where we went in and were promptly helped by Rashida. Granted we were the only ones in there at 10ish in the morning but they had plenty of other agents standing by and ready to help. Rashida was amazing and personable and helped us quickly process our title transfer and got us our tags in no time at all! We would have probably been in and out of there in 15 minutes or less but we got chatty with Rashida so we were probably there for a total of 30 minutes. There is no way we would have had such a smooth, personable and flawless experience at the DMV. This business has a solid 5 star review for a reason! It was suggested to me to go to Quick Plates as it would be a quick transaction. That may be true, but I don't feel they are completely aware of all DMV fees and transactions. I brought all my documents, receipts, and information with me. I left with a receipt that had only the total amount paid on it. I had a feeling something was not accurate. I went directly back in the same day to get an itemized receipt to see they overcharged me $318 in DMV fees. The most infuriating part is that they said any refund would need to be made directly from the DMV because fees collected are sent directly to the DMV. They gave me a DMV refund request. I sent it in 3/28/22. Still waiting... Be very sure to go over ALL fees with them and bring any receipts / paperwork you have from the DMV. Get an itemized receipt BEFORE you pay! read more

I almost never post negative reviews but today, when they told me Yelp is overflowing with complimentary, five star Quick Plates customer reviews, it seemed the record should be set straight. Unfortunately, it is hard to imagine a more bureaucratic, impolite, uninterested, unmotivated and downright lazy group than a cold mess calling itself Quick Plates. Quick Plates makes California's Department of Motor Vehicles look like a personal concierge, by comparison. Despite having responded promptly and exactly to Quick Plates' every demand, two months' after purchasing a car Quick Plates still haven't actually started the process to get my car registered and refuse to provide even a guess as to when their job will be completed. Today, I've made two months' payments for a car that sits in the garage, unable to be legally driven in California. In a half-dozen phone calls, Quick Plates has dished up every excuse in the book. There's nothing unique or exotic about the car purchased. It's a plain vanilla, normal, everyday transaction. For reasons unknown to me, Quick Plates makes it clear that registering my car is been a unwanted annoyance from the outset. I don't get it. If you are contemplating an out-of-state car purchase, insist that the selling dealer utilize any licensing organization other than Quick Plates - or be prepared to be sucked into a thankless black hole of bureaucratic inaction. In Quick Plates vernacular, "customer" and "victim" are synonymous. read more

I'm so impressed with this place. I was losing it because my registration was expired and I don't have time to go to the DMV. A friend told me about this place, and I was skeptical because it was expired and I thought they couldn't do it. Luckily, I was wrong! Kim at the front couldn't have been more efficient. I was in and out, with new tags and updated address to DMV, in less than 30 minutes. This place is truly amazing (especially compared to the DMV) and I don't know why people don't know about it. If I could rate this amazing place with 100 stars I would do it in a heartbeat! I came in hoping to re-register my car and Shelley was kind enough to get the process going. Long story short, there was some issues with my previous registration and instead of sending me on my way because there was essentially nothing Shelley could do to help me, she spent a lot of time trying to work through the issue even though she knew it would be no benefit to her in the end. She was gracious and kind and so incredibly helpful. She even went as far as to call another company to try to solve my problem. Rashida and Laurene were also so helpful and sweet with this whole interesting situation and tried to help as well! I recently purchased a brand new truck in Nevada and needed it registered in CA while staying at my vacation house in Nevada. Becky Gomez went above and beyond with a nightmare process that included needing a vin verification along with a smog check (on a brand new truck bought from a dealer!) before paperwork could be submitted. Becky always kept me apprised of what was needed and hand delivered my paperwork over to the DMV not once, but twice due to confusion and making sure it was done right. Throughout the entire process, Becky emailed and called updating me and I was never treated like just the next person in line. NOT RECOMMENDED!!! They're promising more than can delivered and over charge.. I was there 15days ago for duplicate title for car what I just sold. So I asked for "rush title" which is option what not many people know about.. the price was $172 (they charge me 6 times this price total $1032) and told me that was mistake and money should be back (in 3days money was back on my account) and they told me the title will be in my mailbox in 4-6 business days. Now I stop again in the office asked what happened with the title and they told me there is nothing like a "rush title" and money what they charge me is just regular price. They are liars!!! Wow, what a find. The ladies at this place actually know more than AAA or DMV. Kim helped us and sorted out a problem we had with the DMV not being able to issue the stickers for our renewed registration. She ran a DMV abstract for my son, then explained the whole thing to us and told us how to get it all fixed. She instantly jumped into a role of really caring and wanted to help. They know exactly what to do and their fees are so reasonable. We paid $15.00 for her to go into the DMV system and print out the report. If you are hitting a wall and can't figure out the system, if you don't want to wait on lines at DMV or if you just don't have time to take care of DMV stuff, just go here.
