We thought an existing fob was toast and needed to be replaced; he checked it, found out it just needed to be re-programmed, and saved us the cost of one new fob. All in all we had spare keys made for two cars, a key fob reprogrammed, two additional key fobs made, and still spent less than 1/3 of what a dealership wanted for a single key and fob. Make no mistake - replacement car keys and fobs are not inexpensive, but never pay dealership rates when you can call someone who is honest, has integrity, goes above and beyond, is awesome to work with, and has reasonable and competitive prices. Absolutely heartbroken. I have two keys that work on my car -- so now my car can turn on! However, during the programming process Mike did something to my passenger side door so it no longer opens. It doesn't open from the inside or out. At all. Not even with any keys. I was told I needed a new door latch. But... my passenger side door has worked fine before for years with no issues whatsoever with the latch until it was tempered with. So now I have a NOT working side passenger door that I have to take to my mechanic. I would be shocked if they come to make this right, because I still paid them. I wish I didn't. EDIT: Consider me SHOCKED (and a whole lot of more positive feelings) -- the next day (aka today), Mr. David went ahead and called me in the morning to see what had happened. He told me the door would be fixed today or Monday, but that it would be fixed. Mike went ahead to buy the part, assessed his mistake, and apologized for what he had done (he had accidentally bent a rod in the latch assembly), and fixed my door. David was quick to respond and did the job the same day. Called a few other smiths and they couldn't do the job or weren't sure if they could get it done. David knocked it out. He repaired a badly damaged ignition cylinder for my truck. Other option was to replace the ignition cylinder which was $150 in just parts. The cylinder was also stuck due to how badly damaged it was. If replaced, I would've had to carry two keys around, one for the doors and the other for the ignition. David was able to remove the cylinder and repair it on site. He is very skillful and a true craftsman. Also extremely friendly and honest, charged the price quoted. Amazing service! Not many locksmiths have the technology to offer replacement keys for newer cars but this team does! I called David on a Tuesday, he came out the next day, spent 10 minutes and made me a second key for my 2018 Hyundai.
