I've been coming here for years now and I can always trust Joseph to do a great job. My mom and sister also come here whenever they need something tailored. I come here to tailor my suits, jeans, denim jackets, dress shirts, and more. After you tell him how you want your clothes tailored, he will have you try them on. Then, he will visually show you what he will do so you know exactly how your clothes will be tailored. Turn around time is pretty quick. I can usually drop off 1-2 items and get it back within a few days. Longest I've had to wait for something was 1 week, but I dropped off 2 jackets, a suit, and a pair of jeans, so that was very reasonable. Came into this joint with mighty high expectations. Left feeling undeniably defiled. This dude is a swindler. Straight up ice cold swindler. He'd steal the blanket off your cold and dyin mama if you turned around to warm up the kettle! I'm too tired to write a detailed narrative on how this seemingly kindly old asian grampa bruv scammed me out of 20 bucks but the bottom line is that I asked to get my new work pants tapered and hemmed. Isn't a simple taper and hem the easiest thing for tailors? I mean isn't that shit Tailoring 101? Don't they teach that to you the first day you step into tailoring school? This guy must have thought to himself "Damn, I already know how to make pants shorter, I should skip the first day of class to go home and play some Doom 94" or whatever jawn was poppin back when he was a youngin. I tell the man, I want a hem with no break. Easy as that. Instead du says, "hey man, let me give you a little break". I'm like nah I don't really want a little break. He says "hey man it'll look more professional." I say alright whatever worst case is I can cuff em once and I'd have no break. I want that ankles blowin in the wind steeze ya smell me cuz? Then I ask him to give my jump offs a taper. Keep in mind I already know the measurements I want. Hemmed to 30 inches, tapered to 7.25 inches. But du doesn't ask me for numbers. He must've mistooken me for some clueless serf. So he just does it old school tells me to put my jawns on and he's touchin me and whatever. I figure, maybe his way is better he is a tailor and all with 4.5 stars on yelp (with like 8 reviews too my oh my). So he just does some random ass chalk shit and asks me to bend my knees to see how well I can move in them. Alright, this guy is the master, I let him guide me. Quotes me 20 bucks, I figure okay whatever. Come back a week later and du is just sitting there tailorin in his musty little shop. The place smells like OD old spice. I don't know how he stands it. He hands me my pants, asks me for 20 and that's it. Doesn't ask me to try the joints on. Doesn't thank me. That's it. I'm like "real dawg?" BUT THE KICKER IS: I AM A SPINELESS ASIAN AND I DON'T SAY ANYTHING. I JUST KEEP MY CONFUSION AND ANGER TO MYSELF. THAT'S NOT THE RIGHT THING TO DO B's YOU GOTTA STICK UP FOR YASELF. So I just walk out like like stone cold steve austin. Smoke a doobie on the street, throw the cigarette butt on his porch and ride away into the sunset on my harley. Get back to my crib, check the goods and realize that: A) THIS DU DIDN'T EVEN TAPER MY PANTS, THEY STILL 8 INCH LEG OPENING. I MEASURE MY SHIT BEFORE I GO TO THE TAILORS AND I KNOW THE MEASUREMENTS. B) BARELY EVEN HEMMED IT. I DON'T HAVE "LITTLE BREAK". I need to cuff my pants THREE TIMES to get them barely up past my ankles. So I basically paid 20 bucks for a 1.5 inch hem. Wholly dissatisfied. Du won't even pick up tha phone. Grade A clown. Stay away from this joke of an establishment. read more

Mr. Tran is a wonderful tailor who will get the job done quickly and do a good job with your clothes. I was doing a photo shoot on Saturday, and brought my maxi skirt to get tailored by him on Tuesday. I was nervous since the skirt was expensive, but I had worked with him before on another dress. When I got the skirt back, it was the perfect length! The skirt had a satin inside that I was able to walk in without getting dirty, and he left the tulle outside a little longer to give it an elegant look. I will definitely be coming back for any of my tailoring needs. read more

I was referred to Quick Fit Tailor by Macy's where I bought my suits, so I thought this is a sure thing. I took two of my suits in for alterations. I needed to take in the waist and shoulders. Tran forgot a couple of items need to be done; I had to point them out him after I tried out the suits. There were some very visible wrinkles at the shoulder area. Tran had to redo some of the work. The way the job was done was not first rate as rated by some of the reviewer. read more

I can only comment on the service I've received having had a half-dozen shirts taken in at the side-seams and arms. Joseph's work, prices and ability to deliver on schedule are all solid. Can't ask more than that. If you go in expecting much conversation and American-style customer service, you'll probably be disappointed; you walk in, Joseph directs you to the changing-room, you come out and get marked/pinned, change back, then get your ticket. I decided to give Quick Fit Tailor a try after seeing the many high rating reviews, and was very impressed with this tailor's handy work. Dont be fooled by the tiny little shop on the street, the owner knows how to tailor professionally and gets the job done right the first time around! I brought in a delicate dress that needed to be fixed and shortened in some areas. Even though the store owner doesnt speak fluent english, he was able to fully understand me and was able to fully repair the dress. The prices are VERY fair and VERY competitive. I am glad that I came here and not elsewhere. The quality of the repairs he made were practically unnoticeable, as if the dress was new. Small tailor shop down 1st in the streets of Arcadia and I would have to say Joseph is the man. Brought down a new suit that needed some work and he personally took care of me and my tailor needs flawlessly. Joseph was very straightforward and honest without wasting a moment of your time. He provides excellent suggestions on what style/alterations you're looking for and gets right down to it! I was a bit worried that I brought it in a bit late because I needed it two days later but without hesitation he guaranteed me that it will be ready and waiting for my pick-up. I brought in a pair of pants to be hemmed, during which time I was careful to communicate to Joseph my desire to leave enough length for a full break and to observe the length he marked (it was good). Joseph was short and slightly dismissive in his manner, but I went ahead and left the pants in his care due to the positive past reviews here and my trust that a simple hem would not be any particular challenge for him. Sadly, Joseph brought the pants up way too high. The kicker is that he cut away the extra length rather than stitching it, so that the hem cannot now be made proper. The pants weren't cheap (over $100), but thank goodness I did not trust him with a suit or something similarly more expensive. Stay away. read more

Joseph was my tailor at Nordstroms at the Arcadia mall...he remained my tailor when he opened his own shop at a location which was acquired by the Mercedes dealership on Santa Anita. I followed him to his existing location. He will always be my tailor because he knows what he is doing. His skills rival my tailors when I was in Beverly Hills for a number of years (at a much better price). Treat him right; and, he will treat you right. That is human nature. read more

Had my suite fixed. Tried on my slacks and the slacks were still too long. Tranh claims it was because I pulled my slacks up when he measured it. Really??? Who does that? And the side of my slacks next to the front pockets were not taken in correctly, so it looks a bit baggy there. I thought maybe if I ironed it, it would fix the problem, Not! And the inside of my coat was not hemmed closed....so that's two trips back. read more

I have used Mr. Tran for about 8 years now. I was initially referred to him by Macy's. Over the years I have had him work on dresses, jackets, pants, blouses, skirts, zippers, coats, and gym clothes. I have also had him add pockets to jackets that did not have any. He has also revised some jackets (blazers) to give them a more updated look. He does an excellent job, his fees are reasonable, and I have had only good experiences. read more
