!!!! Make an appointment!! You're already on Yelp, click on the link to make an appointment! I'd advise to plan it two days ahead to get the time you want. Scheduled my dad for an 11:30 am appointment. We came in at 10:54 am and I signed in via the touch screen tablets at the front counter. You can sign in via your phone number you made the appointment with or name/DOB. Once I signed in, I sat down and waited. There's a tv that will let you know how long you have to wait. We were in an out within 20 minutes (due to paperwork). There were still lots of people waiting but we got called in before all of them. Appointments get priority, guys. read more

I don't get why this place has such lowball ratings. Honestly, I have been an annual regular at this location for about 5 years, and it's never been a problem to get in and out quickly -- IF you scheduled an appointment. I've always scheduled mine online, and a few days' notice -- maybe a week tops -- is all that's needed for an early morning appointment (which is most convenient for me). It's not the fault of this facility if the lobby is crowded with people who "walked in". Maybe if they'd prepared ahead a little, they wouldn't have to be fit in around people who already filled up all available appointment slots. There's only so many hours in the day, and only so many staff that a facility of this size can keep to handle the demand. Quest is clean and it is run efficiently. Check in is quick. Wow! I don't understand the low ratings for this business. I came in today for the first time and in my car I checked in from my phone and when I came in the door I had already been called for my appointment. I found out that I was already called by the lady, Nhatle that called me on my phone and asked me where I was. From the walk from my car to the door, already called! Nhatle was also the lady who was doing my bloodwork. Nhatle was kind, efficient and patient. She did a fabulous painless "stick me". A very professional, skilled painless, mosquito. Do not come here for bloodwork for kids. The lady who took my daughters blood today was AWFUL! Getting poked with a needle is stressful enough for anyone, let alone a 4 year old. Here are some things you do not say to a toddler who is getting blood taken, "do you want a big needle?" "Two for one discount" and the worst one of all "do you want me to leave the needle in?" What the hell is going on in your head thinking it's okay to say these things to a screaming, crying, clearly scared kid? It was better if the lady didn't talk to us at all. She made things worse. If I wasn't so busy trying to calm down my child I would of asked her to shut her trap. I am extremely disappointed. Also there is no one at the front desk to help you. I never really leave reviews but absolutely felt the need to leave one today. First of all the guy drawing my blood in room #5 left a freaking slit in my arm from pulling out the needle..?! I'm so sore. Secondly I asked him if he could explain a little more what the test was for and he flat out just said, I don't know you're pregnant. Like yes I know I'm pregnant but can you explain a little about the tests so I can further understand more?? You should know what the tests are for right? Not the nitty gritty specifics but enough to give me a little peace of mind right? He was nice and everything don't get me wrong just not who I'd want to be drawing my blood ever again. THIRD I went to go give a urine sample and there was a COCKROACH in the bathroom with me just hanging out. When I went to go tell the lady about it at the front trying to be nice and polite about it she responded with 'oh you saw that' like she had known it was in there already.... Ew... Oh and to add an extra kick, the room they were drawing my blood in had DRIED BLOOD on the chair from a previous person. I've been the the quest diagnostics in Huntington and it was nice. The one in Westminster is the complete opposite. For being a doctors place it is absolutely disgusting. If you need to go to quest. I came to take a breath test, and the lady with a short black hair said that i wasted my money because I didnt take it well. I was like, oh ok. I waited in the lobby for 15 minutes to take the 2nd breath test, and there it comes. She was doing for me and then its just half way and she told me to go ahead and do by myself she were busy now. Wish I could've given NO STARS. Checked in and said it'd be a 50 min wait and set it to where they would call or text when it was my turn to get called. I ended up going to the grocery store in the plaza to kill time. I noticed I didn't get a text or a call after the 58 min mark and went inside to check my place. The nurse wearing blue scrubs said that they would be calling my name "soon" and to wait outside. I WAITED an hour and a half and they still didn't call or text! So I left. 3 hours later they messaged me "Please return to the Patient Draw Center for your collection now." Are you f#cking kidding me?! WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THE FACILITY IS FILTH! Customer service here barely exist. When you call it's all automated system, so when you arrive, you'd think, great-I can speak to someone in person! Upon arrival, nobody is at the front desk. There's electronic check-in - which is cool, but I feel bad for those who doesn't know how to use it or doesn't speak English. Finally when there is someone at the desk - customer service was so rude that I got turned off and decided to leave! It's your job to make people feel welcome but instead she made me feel horrible about my insurance and threatened that I would end up paying. I don't need to be treated this way. I already called my insurance AND my Doctor's office and confirmed it would be covered - so my advice is DO YOUR JOB and run my insurance before you scare your patients away! This is unacceptable. Imagine all the people they treat like this and patients don't know any better and take it. Shame on you!! Here's and UPDATE: I actually went to another Quest (for the 3rd time today) and they took me in!! They actually ran my insurance and confirmed group and all! The one in Fountain Valley were a TON times friendlier and nicer!! More professional in every way. I usually love the lab techs at this location but today I had such a horrible experience that I will never go here again. I was a walk in so was prepared to be patient, but the guy that checked me in was sarcastic and snarky and then I finally left after having waited for an hour and 45 minutes and seeing people who came in after me as walk ins going ahead of me. They also weren't telling new walk ins that there was a long wait. If they had then people could at least try to find another location with less wait times. Quest diagnostics gets away with their horrible customer service by having a monopoly in Southern California. I wish they'd get some strong competition to make them try harder. Telling customers the wait will be 30 mins and it being over triple that is simply unacceptable. read more

Yes, I'm writing a review for a blood draw/labwork center. Depending on the size of your doctor's office, if the office is not big enough to have their own lab, you'll likely find yourself being sent to a blood draw site or lab. I picked this location based on Yelp reviews actually, as there are 2 other Quest labs near my house. First off, the other reviews might be older, so they seemed to have moved the entrance from the back of the building to the front. It's literally to the RIGHT of the Westminster Medical Center entrance. The lobby is no-frills - a pastelly off-green backdrop with chairs. Lots of chairs. The lobby was actually half full when I walked in and I was concerned that despite having an appt, my experience with asian places is that they disregard whether you made a appt in advance or not. Anyway, front desk rep took my insurance card, had me sign in and told me it'd be a few minutes. Less than 10 minutes later - pretty much on the dot of my appt time, I was called in. The phlebotomist was prompt, professional and courteous. I had a couple of vials of blood to fill and she was able to draw the blood efficiently and with little to no pain. Obviously pain is perception-based on the person, but I didn't feel much more than a "ant bite". I spent a total of about 20 minutes in the office from the time I walked in to the time I walked out. You truly cannot get that type of efficient service anywhere else. Definitely helps to make a appointment through Quest's online appt system. My go-to place for bloodwork from now on! read more

Me and my sister wanted to have a check up, so our family doctor sent us her to get our blood done. It was kind of tricky finding the entrance, it was located right behind another medical building. I was surprised they spoke fluent English, I always come into Vietnamese businesses expecting them to speak a lick of English. I did a walk-in instead of making an appointment and they told me the wait would be about 25 mins, but it felt more like 10 mins. There were probably only about 5 people in front of me and my sis. We went in, the nurse poked my arm and couldn't find a vein the first time so they switched arms and tried the other one. Apparently she didn't find a good vein because the blood was draining slowly. After a couple minutes, I felt suddenly light-headed and nauseous. It seems that I got that way because of the fasting I did beforehand (12 hours). They were quick to respond and had me lie in a bed. This place deserves 3.5 stars, they were prompt and nice about everything, but poked me one too many times. read more

The lady named Nhatle had a bad character. I didn't need her to tell me to be happy or not and how my baby would be. None of her business. I didn't have any bad experience with the first two nurses who did a great job on withdrawing my blood. I told her I had deep and small veins so preferred to have small needle. She didn't locate the vein correctly and hurt me badly. I pushed her hand out and told her to stop. Then she blamed that because I pushed her hand out so she couldn't get the vein. And she just left the wound open and bleed. Then she told me if this small thing bothered me, then how I could deliver the baby later. AGAIN, none of her business. Very unprofessional. She asked the lady at front to help. This lady was not any better. She said it was too busy and she had to come here and help that Nhatle out. She wanted to do it quickly by poking the vein at my hand. I had it before and told her it is hurtful because it is next to my bone. She said too many people were waiting for her and was not patient at all. Very bad attitude. Them both. I said I wanted to leave. Then they told another lady named Ngoc to help out even though the lady Nhatle said she was the only one working today. This time, Ngoc made it very easy and painless. She was able to locate the vein and withdraw my blood in seconds. I even didn't realize it was done. The manager of this place needs to improve the professionalism of those ladies here, especially Nhatle. read more

Do not come here. The phlebotomist, an old Vietnamese lady named Kathy or Katie or something similar, has horrible technique and bad patient interaction. My mom had her blood drawn by this lady and a day later, a HUGE dark purple bruise appeared on her arm. It's about 2"x6". This has never happened before with any other blood draws. This area has many older patients whose veins and skin are much more sensitive. This lady should stop working because she destroys her patients' veins. Do NOT come here. read more

I rarely write reviews but I felt like I had to because the mixed reviews made me feel like there was very little reliable information. Parking - Free parking. Office - Clean and bright. Waiting room has lots of chairs. Front Desk - I do not know if there is dedicated front desk staff. Ivy, a phlebotomist, was at the front desk when I checked in. She was brisk and helpful. Languages - English and at least 3 phlebotomists (at the time I was there) also spoke Vietnamese. Appointment and Check-in - I HIGHLY recommend making an appointment. My appointment was at 10:20am on a Friday. I arrived at 10:20am and check-in at the kiosk in front was quick since I had the QR code (from the email from Quest) ready. 15-20 people (those with appointments and walk-ins) were sitting in the waiting room. Even with an appointment, it was a 40-minute wait before my Mom was called in. Phlebotomist - The Phlebotomist that called my Mom in was Nhatle. AVOID NHATLE. I can't bear to think of an elderly person who has to put up with her bad attitude at a time of illness. My Mom was overly nice to her, but Nhatle was condescending from the moment she called us in for no reason. As she was entering the lab orders, she repeatedly asked for the ordering physician's phone number and I showed her my phone with his contact information and had to repeatedly tell her it was right in front of her. Thankfully, Tracy, a phlebotomist in the next cubicle had mercy on me and came over to help. Tracy quickly entered all of the orders and was nice about it. Then it came to drawing the blood. My Mom's veins are very difficult to draw from and she knows this from a decade of experience with various phlebotomists. She explained her situation to Nhatle and was met with patronizing rudeness. I will say that I was grateful to Nhatle that she asked Ivy to do the blood draw instead of first sticking my Mom numerous times. Ivy came and she was very straightforward and efficient. She checked my Mom's veins carefully before sticking her and was able to draw the necessary tubes on the first try. My Mom and I were so relieved. So Tracy entered the orders into the computer and Ivy did the blood draw and Nhatle ... well. Overall, I had a very good impression of Ivy. I can understand why one of the reviewers had a 5-star experience if her experience was limited to only Ivy. We left the office at 11:25am. I removed 1 star because of the long wait time. I removed another star because you can't call the office and NHATLE. If you have any questions, you have to drive to the office and ask. read more

If you are looking for an actual good quest go to the one in fountain valley on talbert. That's where you will find someone who actually knows what they are doing and gives a damn. This location is very convenient for me due to the fact that I live a few blocks away. Now this being my first experience with this location. It's has been horrible. I arrived at 7 AM and formed in line with 13 people in front of me. It's 9:30AM and still waiting. In all my years, I've never waited this long. Hear me out everyone. Basically this place had literally SAVED ME. Here is my story. So before I came here to this Westminster Quest, I went to 2 Quests near my house in Stanton and Anaheim. The first day, the Stanton place tried 4 times on both of my arms but they couldn't find my veins. They kicked me home and blamed me for not drinking enough water. Then I went to the Anaheim one the next day. They tried another 4 times including my HANDS. NO VEINS WERE FOUND. I went to my doctor and the nurse at the dr's office tried 1 last time and still NOTHING CAME OUT. My boyfriend told me to go here and OMG, co Le got 4 bottles of MY BLOOD THE FIRST TRY. She is so experienced and is my life saver. It was 0 PAIN for me. I was so happy. Highly recommend !!! read more
