I want to say that I commend the office of the CEO in having people with the capacity to respond, get back to me. Most of the time people complain about hospitals and healthcare systems. They're dealing with somebody in patient relations who has very little authority. MedStar had one of their higher working executives get back to me to address my concerns. I commend them on that. I booked just a few days in advance and made sure to arrive early just in case. I'm glad I did arrive early, because where my uber dropped me off, I had to ask for directions (it's downstairs) and then the kiosk check-in when I arrived took another 5 mins or so. The waiting room was crowded, but it seems as though most people had an appointment (I also saw a sign that it was an appointment only location.) While the folks working here may be a little curt, they called me and processed everything on time for my appointment before sending me to the back room to get my blood drawn. The folks back there are also very direct, but once chatting them up found them to be very warm. Any lab work was sent directly to my provider, making the whole process much easier than expected. So while the actual location feels a little dim, dull and depressing the actual service provided was just fine.
