This place is a joke. All three times I've been here, it has always been negative and disorganized. Avoid this location at all costs. The lady at the front desk, all three times, has been rude and demeaning. Had she acknowledged me right when I signed it she would have told me I checked in the wrong location. I am someone who arrives early to check in and make sure everything is ready to go for the appointment. Not only was I in the wrong location for blood work, I was also late for my actual appointment. I was lost and anxious. As a medical professional, this is not okay. The front desk is the face of the whole department. My 7 month old son came today to have his bloods taken. The lady who worked with him was truly amazing. She made him feel comfortable and the whole process was very smooth. This review probably will not make a difference in its business, but if it can help ONE person avoid this location, then the 5 mins I spent writing this review was time well spent. I drove all the way to this location last Saturday (12/23) only because they closed at 12:30pm and I needed to get my blood drawn exactly on this date. **Avoid the OLDER FILIPINO lady** I should've been suspicious of my phlebotomist when she seemed flustered from all my paperwork and was fumbling around with the labels and vials. As soon as she stuck me, she quietly said "oops..." I immediately questioned her but she didn't directly respond to me. She only replied, "you bruise easily, huh?" I was confused by her question, but she proceeded to cover the area with a cotton ball and tape and she directed me to apply pressure to the arm. I didn't think anything of it and continued on with my day..... until I removed the bandage that night. I have had my blood drawn plenty of times and never once did it look like what I saw!!! I contacted numerous friends whom are nurses, and they all gave me the answer: she blew my vein, and I developed a hematoma! Are you fricken kidding me...... how does someone knowingly do this and not inform their patient of their wrongdoing... did she think I would never notice??? Being that this place is within Samaritan Hospital, my wife and I figured it would be a safe place to take out baby. Not so much. At first the building is nice and well organized. But the staff is what makes a business operate properly. The two staff that was taking blood from our newborn were very inexperienced. They had to poke our 6 day old baby two times to get a very small amount of blood, and during getting blood the baby yelled in pain like we never heard before ( compared to all the other tines). Also the room was very dirty, the paper roll which was used to cover. The patient beds were on the ground, and the techniques used during the blood capturing seemed unsanitary. read more

Went in without an appointment, it was later in the day around 4pm. It was clean, quiet, and sanitized. My wife and I checked in on the iPad at the front desk, and were called on within seconds and we were all done with only being in the building for 5 minutes. Very fast. read more

Was sent here for a post-procedure test that needed to have the sample taken on-site to be accurate (make sure there were no little swimmers). When I asked where I could do my business, I was told to go use the bathroom (public, not Quest's) in the lobby out front. I walked out there with my little sample cup, embarrassed enough already, to find three other people waiting for the single public restroom. You got that? QUEST SENT ME OUT TO THE LOBBY TO MASTURBATE. When I went back to ask for a more private place, say INSIDE THEIR CLINIC SOMEWHERE, I was told that they only have one available restroom and I could not use it. Despite my discomfort, I was told to go back and jerk off in the lobby. It was only after loudly demanding a manager that I was taken in back and allowed to use an appropriate restroom to give a sample. When I complained to Quest management, the Customer Service rep was shocked and apologetic, the statewide manager was aghast and apologetic, but the district supervisor tasked with dealing with it described this as "could have been better communicated" but seemed to fully support the practice of sending sperm samples out to the lobby for collecting. She promised to "use this as a teaching experience for the receptionist", but not to end this humiliating practice. This was a rude, embarrassing, tedious and degrading experience from end-to-end. Like a final kick in my now-disconnected testes from an inept, couldn't care less organization. read more

Quest diagnostics at Samaritan Drive sucks !!!!! Please improve your service and skills !!! Had an appointment for 9:15 AM , was late by 5 mins(had to find parking), checked in at 9:20 AM. Then I was called at 9:25 AM ONLY to be told by the lady at front desk that she can't take me in and I need to reschedule to some other day or will check-in as a "Walk-in". But, she said it will take 30 or more minutes wait time as they are lot of other who have already checked-in. She said more than 10 of them waiting. Really?? I was fasting and she did not even bother to listen me. I agree I was little late(also apologized to the lady), but between 9:15 AM and 9:20 AM, how many people would have checked-in? Not 10 of them in a real world. And, you know there others who have setup appointments in intervals of 5 mins and would be checking-in. How did you then took that much number of walk-ins???? Or are those 10 people waiting for a long time already without being called for the lab work? Pathetic response to a patient who was fasting that morning. !!!!!!! NOTE: I went to another laboratory same day who took me in as a walk-in and trust me, they completed everything in 15 minutes from check-in, getting the blood drawn to the time I came out !!! read more

I was hesitant on booking my appointment at this location due to the negative reviews. But I went it open minded. And I'm sure glad I chose this location. Check-in was simple and the phlebotomist who helped me was awesome. I also witnessed her go out of her way to assist an older gentleman who had missed his appointment. So, first to state: I did NOT get my blood work done here with a very good reason: my insurance doesn't cover Quest! I didn't know that, and just went in with the reference from my specialist. THANK GOODNESS, the lady at this lab was kind enough to let me know that! She actually recommend me to go across the street to basically their competitors: I'm really grateful for that, she didn't have to say anything, what a great gesture! Another thing I want to compliment is that they do respect appointments, I was called 5 minutes from my scheduled time, and there were walk-ins already waiting (I know that from the sign in sheet). Oh boy where do I begin! I know! I will officially never go back if you want an honest review here it is. I have so many negative comments about my appointment In MID MARCH ( right before the California quarantine began) . Honestly I am still very upset about this and feel my voice should be heard. I thought about for quite some time and have decided I will share my horrific experience. After an appointment they ask for a survey to be filled out and I am surprised and very disappointed I never received follow up... here is my experience.... I got there before my appointment was called In 30 mins after when it said I had a 3 min wait haha yeah right. When I went in the lady (I want to say her name was Cathy or something like that) she was extremely rude she was my last visit as well but this took it over the top . Seriously! She doesn't want to listen to me and told me to be quiet bc she didn't want to hear my question she made me sit in room 8 her usual Sunday room. She couldn't figure out my test or how to cc my other doctor because I didn't have a code that I was told they could look up! This took at least 10 minutes considering she wouldn't listen and told me be quiet. As I was sitting there she told me my jacket had to be off, I knew but why now if you are still looking for my doctors name? So I put it on my lap and as I looked down I SAW BLOOD WHICH WAS NOT MY BLOOD ON THE CHAIR! She told me just to "move over it won't touch you" I got up because I am smart enough to know that is not safe and it's wrong when I wouldn't sit in the chair till she did something she told me and I quote "it's not my job to clean the blood it's my job to draw it" how can someone say that I understand she has a job to do but leaving a station dirty like that is unacceptable it's UNSANITARY! Especially with everything going on how just how can one say that. She then called the other lady MA over to help her still find the drs to cc my results to she walked away to spray the blood but didn't care how clean it was. During this time my mom was trying to get the fax number and everything they ask for when my was trying to help provide it they told us to just shut up. I said I won't sit there they moved me to room 7 Now fast forward to actually drawing my blood. About 30 minutes later. I asked for a butterfly because my veins DONT respond well to the regular she told me to again be quiet and not tell her how to do her job. She brings out the needle opens it lets it sit and looked for a vein I told her I want a clean one she says " calm down the cap is on it" as she pulled off the cap she hadn't sanitized my arm before injecting I told her again and she said again my job not yours. Now if I didn't need this test done immediately I would have walked away but today was my only day off from work at school so I really had no choice. Then she finally used a new needle and whipped my arm she put it in and no blood came out l wasn't surprised after everything thing else that happened. So she left the needle in and called MA over saying " I can't do this I don't know how" I'm sorry but do you want a needle in your arm with someone saying that!? So MA came over and said ok we will try a smaller tube WHAT DOES THE TUBE HAVE TO DO WITH ANYTHING IF NO BLOOD COMES OUT! As they couldn't get blood they were wiggling the needle in my arm and got half a tube of blood ( small tube ) so they pulled out the needle to try a new spot. Now let's keep in mind at this time they accused me for having bad veins that don't work . I started drinking the water in had water with me and she told me it wouldn't help my veins. Sure it won't help now but maybe I need water. About 20 minutes later she had finally received enough blood for the test but I was just so fed up and At this point anxiety really took over and I just wanted to leave. MA was at least somewhat nicer once the other lady left but still controlling over the situation saying she was the best here better than all the other employees but not to say she said so. I'm sorry but this type of treatment should never happen. I have family members in the medical field I know what's correct and what isn't. For example, Usually after the test is over the phlebotomist shows the stickers on the tube or a paper or something to show that the information is correct. This is did not happen. Has protocol changed? I have been coming here for over 15 years. And this was by far the worst experience I have ever had!! I was shocked at all the poor reviews for this quest location.I walked in without an appointment on a Thursday at 9 am. There is a large garage with ample parking and the office is located in the first floor of a large, multi floored office building. There were signs in the lobby and it was very easy to find the correct office suite. You register on an iPad as you enter and the waiting room was quite large. There appeared to be multiple phlebotomists in two different areas. When one phlebotomist came out to get her next patient an elderly gentlemen told her he hadn't registered because he didn't know how to. She immediately roomed her patient, came back out and registered the elderly man herself in 2 minutes. She didn't ask him to come with her and was so sweet and caring. When it was time for my blood draw they made sure I was the correct patient multiple times, asking me to verify labels with my name and birthdate and then again after all tubes were labeled. I was out in less than 15 mins with no appointment! Can't beat that. read more

The blonde hair woman that works there is very unprofessional and rude. Try to ignore her at all cost. She was rude to a man who was asking questions and even yelled at him to sit down. She was loud and rude to everyone but her one "friend" as it seems. We waiting over an hour just to be denied a test because the paper work expired while we were waiting. Today my younger sister and I had to have a blood work test done. It did not start out promising, as after my sister and I checked in on the machines for our appointment at around 8:10AM, we waited on one of the empty spots on the floor because there was room. We thought, since other people in the room were also clearly waiting for their turn on each of the spots, that's what we were supposed to do. Not so. We did not get to read her nametag, and I'm sorry to use race as my only description, but her hair and her face were all we could see; a Caucasian phlebotomist with tall grayish-blond hair irritably told us that we were standing in spots only for those waiting to check in, and we had to wait in the hall outside. We thought her rudeness was unnecessary, as we hadn't been here during COVID-procedures before and there was no signage to indicate the distinction between where we were waiting and any of the other stickers on the floor. A short while later, between 8:15AM and 8:35AM, as my sister and I had gone to the blood drawing rooms and I was giving our information to Teresa -- (lovely lady, I'll get to her in a moment)-- my sister overheard the same phlebotomist who told us to wait outside speaking VERY angrily to another phlebotomist (sorry I don't know if every worker there is a phlebotomist or not). According to my sister, she was perhaps two octaves away from yelling at a coworker "not to switch around the order/schedule of HER patients" or something like that. I myself was very distracted with filling the forms and trying to coordinate with my dad's arrival as well as keep my sister calm, so I didn't hear this myself and we were in a corner cubicle so my sister didn't hear fully what else this worker was saying. We think of ourselves as patient and understanding people. We appreciate health care workers and educators and all the front line people dealing with extra stress and work. However, this particular lady's attitude was super off-putting and unprofessional.You wouldn't want someone in that kind of a huff sticking a needle into your arm. Her lack of respect, especially toward her coworker, was appalling, whether she was having a bad day or not. We hope it was just a bad day for , and that it's not her normal behavior. I think she would've done well to take a moment to herself before rounding on her coworker like that. My poor sister who was traumatized by a previous blood-drawing experience elsewhere had added tension, and I'm sure it was not pleasant for anyone else who may have heard either. I hope someone speaks to her about this because the other coworker, no matter how they may or may not have messed up, didn't deserve that. Okay, while that doesn't sound good (and it wasn't) thankfully that was NOT the entirety of our experience, nor ours directly. Today both my sister and I were attended to by Teresa. As previously mentioned, my sister had never been for a regular blood draw before, only once at the ER which was traumatic for her, especially since we both had strong needle/blood phobias in our childhood that she of course, being traumatized, is having a harder time working through. Teresa was exceedingly patient, soothing, and nonjudgemental of my sister's fear (which I hadn't explained the cause for her), and with me for being a little mistakes-heavy today with some of our form info. I have been to Quest Diagnostics myself twice previously, (both excellent experiences both times) but forgot that last time I had my blood drawn, there was a room we could lay down in, and when I remembered, Teresa didn't complain or seem to have any irritation. She was very sweet about allowing us to move in there so my sister could be a little more calm, even though of course that would mean extra sterilization she would have to do. Teresa was very helpful in answering any of my questions and adding her own reassurances for my sister. She was very accommodating, allowing my dad and I to be with my sister and even bringing up chairs for us as well. I am supremely grateful to Teresa putting up with my chatter and participating with it, as I wanted to help my sister via distraction without making her feel more worried or embarrassed. When we had our blood drawn, Teresa was very detail-oriented, having us double-check the info for our vials, explaining what she needed from us before and during each step of the blood draw, all while also saying encouraging things to my sister. Every phlebotomist I've had experience with here has been just as kind and competent as Teresa, but it is down to Teresa specifically that I've been moved to make a post about. I believed that my sister's first experience would be key to helping get on the road to healing from the previous blood/needle phobia trauma and Teresa was so wonderful and I am so thankful for her graciousness. While my sister was a bit too caught up to say anything at the moment, I know this has helped her and from my entire family, thank you Teresa! read more

Worst customer service approach ever, there was a confusion with scheduling a test. And the asian mid age lady jump out of cubicle as i was talking to another youn lady [very nice by the way, but she didnt know much as she only comes in on weekends], and this asian woman dyarted telling me by interrupting "we dont do this on weekends.....your company should know" i was trying tontell her that my company had me choose out of the looong list of providers amd i chose this because it says they are open on sundays. And wothout even listen again she mumbles "your company know, we dont do this on weekends" and noughting her head (no), anyway i walked out she never even let me explain that in her website says theyre open on weekends however it does not say they dont do that particular test then. But she don't listen to customers as what webhave to say, she has an answer and thats it, deal worh it. (Tipical Asian) and forgive me I'm stereotyping, but is always my experience at restaurants and customer service places with this type of advocates. If i could give this place a negative star I would. This place SUCKS. Been here for almost 2 hrs already and still waiting. I know my wife did not make an appointment but damn. The lab techs has very bad attitude. I hope management could see this review and do something about it. We've been to different quest diagnostics location and so far this is the worst. For a lab place so close to the hospital, this place doesn't have enough employee/lab techs. Last time we we're here the same lab techs currently working also did a terrible draw and left a really bad hematoma on my wife's arm. The woman at the front was rude . She is currently yelling at someone about how to "tap gently " on the screen to sign in . She's talking to him like he is 5 years old .instead of an older man who deserves respect . When I signed in she was talking down to me like I was stupid . It's 6:30 am . No one is quite ready for the day but no reason to be rude . I have to leave a urine sample and when I said I had to go to the bathroom she still insists that I have to sit and wait and I've been here before where if you have to go they at least let you have the sample cup so you don't have to hold it . I understand she fell this morning and is in pain but no excuse to treat people like they are stupid and below you. Get it together lady . People are here to get sometimes scary tests done . I've been coming to this Quest location for many years now, the office now is very spacious and clean after the expansion. I have to agree some of the from desk staff could be short at time. I like the fact that now they have Tablet check in system for those who knows what to do when checking it. I think it would be helpful if someone can help those that are not sure how to use the tablet. Alex helped me today and he also helped my 7year old with his blood draw last week. All blood draw are scary to kids but Alex made his experience as pain free and quick as possible. Also, make an appointment if you can to minimize the wait time. read more

Needed to have some blood work done so like always I go here. It is the closest place to my house and they are open on the weekend. Saturday and Sunday they open at 7:30 am. In the past the place has always been slow and seems to be un-organized. Today they set a new low. Arrived at 7:15 and was first in line so thought that this was going to be a short visit. At 7:20 a worker arrived,who didn't have keys and ask if any of the other workers had arrived. She got on her phone and called a supervisor. The worker said there was suppose to be four other workers already there. Now we have a crowd of people waiting. At 7:50 the supervisor shows up and tells everyone to login on the iPads while she tries to call workers to come in. I finally get seen and out of there by 8:15. I'm glad I only have to go here once a year. Whoever does the scheduling should be fired. read more

I only come here to bring my father for his lab work and each time we come the front desk is never friendly. They treat patients often like they are a burden interrupting what they are doing if they have a question. Today was pretty bad. The receptionist who was not often at the front desk (mostly in the back area shouting out instructions and corrective demands to phlebotomists) was completely lacking in the 'customer service dept'. There was an elderly only Spanish speaking patient come in to check in for an appointment ask her as best as she could in the mostly broken English that she was there for an appointment to receptionist responded quite annoyed to check in on the computer in "your language" and provided a very impolite smirk. Offered her no further assistance. Since I stood up to translate and help the kind elderly woman she made it apparent she was quite embarrassed that she was unable to complete the check in without help. While assisting the patient the receptionist directly looked at me with such disgust. This is beyond sad. People come here usually due to a medical condition and to be treated this way is outrageous!. I will certainly be looking for another location for lab work. Perhaps even a different lab. read more

If you have an infant and you take your child to draw blood here be very aware that these people will trick or force you to get the blood out using a tech who is NOT experienced in drawing blood of a child. Yes they are all trained in drawing blood of a baby but who is more experienced. Ask that question before you trust them with your baby. Otherwise Your child will be hysterically crying in pain while a large needle is Maneuvered in his or her arm. This happened to my baby. The tech names NOENA COULD NOT draw a single drop of blood because she INSERTED THE NEEDLE AT THE WRONG location. This after I held her down so strong in my arms that she could hardly breath let alone move. And then this tech NOENA blamed my baby for moving too much. Look at the balls of these ruthless, cold hearted people have. The head tech knew they fucked up so calmed me down and asked me to wait for Teresa, a more experienced tech. Teresa was very gentle and was able to draw the blood at first go. Why the hell they didn't use an experienced person to begin with?? My poor baby was left with bruised arms and had to go through this painful experience twice!!! Avoid NOENA when you take your baby there and ask for Teressa. read more

You get there and there's a huge line of people waiting, only one tech working, no magazines, and they blare out infomercials on their TV the whole time. It's just disgusting. I hate this place. If you can, avoid it and go to a real lab where they treat you with some decency and respect. read more

Very long waits and completely understaffed. I have walked in to other blood clinics and had a wait of maybe 1/2 hour but here it's about an hour wait if you show up after 7:30am! I recommend at least making an appointment to minimize your wait. Then hope once you get in to the lab that the person is not completely incompetent!! read more

Worst place ever! Had a scheduled apt at 1:45 and have not been called back and it's almost 2:15pm I over heard from another patient they have been waiting for over an hour. What's the point of having appointments if they don't know how to go by apts. I made this apt time convenient for me to run over to the lab during lunch hour and this place has taken more than half of my lunch just waiting and they have called me over to see my paper work! I feel bad for the patients we have that we send to quest. If I could I would rate this place a 0! This place does NOT deserve one star. The apt slots are not helpful at all !
