I came to this Labcorp location for the first time after an appointment upstairs at Unio Specialty Care. The convenience is great, but the experience itself could have been much smoother. I arrived with a lab order in hand, only to be told that two tests required Labcorp-specific test codes. I went back upstairs to my doctor's office, where they added CPT and ICD-10 codes. When I returned, the staff member still claimed she couldn't find the tests, even with that information. As the waiting room filled up, I had to call my doctor's office again to get the exact codes--codes that were pulled from Labcorp's own system. This back-and-forth could have easily been avoided. While my doctor's office was responsive and helpful, the experience at Labcorp was not. Patients should not be responsible for resolving communication gaps between providers and labs. What happened today is not only discouraging, but also make an already stressful process even more frustrating. read more

Bottom line the gal did a good job drawing my blood, but they are not very friendly there. The place was not that busy so I got in and out very fast but there's not much parking. After she drew my blood, I went to the front desk to see if I needed to pay or anything and she asked me have you been helped? And she was the one that drew my blood lol. read more

No reason to complain about this place for me. I've been twice now and the first time an appointment they got me right in. The second time I went at 4:30. They closed at five. They got me in in like two minutes. It was a great experience. They're very professional and get the job done. read more

I made an appointment and checked in from the car where I was told they would message me when they were ready for me. After 30 minutes with no response, I went inside and one of the two technicians acknowledged me and then walked away. The other was talking with someone in another room and ignored everyone else. When the first technician came back and checked me on the area I went to for the get the draw done was small and looked quickly thrown together. They were quick and efficient with the blood draw but poorly bandaged the place with just a little cotton and one piece of tape so I noticed that blood was dripping down my arm as I left. This was the only time this has ever happened to me as I get lab work done 2-4 times a year and usually they wrap it to prevent this. I will go anywhere else in the future for lab work. Horrendous experience. Lady at the front continued to ignore my pregnant wife for 40 minutes after she assumed that she wouldn't be able to find her order in her system because it was a "re-draw". We told her there was a new order in the system, she didn't care and told her to leave because she "deleted all her emails and can't see orders" even though she has helped 5 people before hand. It did not make any sense, we called the other labcorp down the street and they looked her right up and found the order over the phone while we were waiting. Walking into this place you are immediately transported to a very poor and rural area of a 3rd world country. I did not feel safe having my blood drawn in such an unclean, gross, disheveled office. Nothing was clean or organized. Staff were dressed in what looked like pajamas. The lobby is 6x5 closet with no personal space for customers. It looks like everything was garbage before it got placed in here! I can't believe this is on Los F'ng Gatos. I walked right out. read more

And when you get there all you do it check in and you'll be seeing no wait time. Staff are nice and friendly. They make the process easy. Surprisingly efficient for such a small, cramped, office. The whole waiting room is about half the size of an average bedroom, so it can get a bit cramped - but they've always been on-time (or even early) for my appointments, and get me in & out with the minimum of fuss. I much prefer this location to the larger nearby one on Samaritan Drive - although the latter has more space it is also much more overloaded with consequently harried staff etc. (not to mention impossible parking). So, small though it is, the National Ave office will remain my go-to labcorp location. read more

Recently I had some urgent urine tests. I know my bad that I should have gone to ER but I requested doctor to place a lab order here. I got first result as contaminated and second one too and it took 6 days to know that. I am not sure why it takes 3 days to know that the first sample was contaminated and then 3 more days for second one. Wish these labs were faster as no patient wants to die waiting for the results. I have done many urine samples but this issue never came up so I am not sure if they didn't handle the sample well or provided good kit. Lesson learned for me. Lab isn't that bad to go but I just had this learning experience and still confused why it takes 3 days. We live in an advanced country but basic healthcare is so slow. read more

I first went to the one on Knowles in Los Gatos! The women at the desk paid no attention to me and pointed to a machine on the wall! I had to talk into it! I did not like that, so I left and went to the Labcorp on National Ave.! The women at the desk were very nice, and I just had to answer a few questions! Went in right away and got my blood test!! Ladies working there were all very nice! This is the one I totally recommend!! The one on National Ave.!! read more

My review will be in two parts. First, the local lab on National Ave. in LG, and then the fight to get my results. The local lab gets all five stars. Painless stick gets four stars just for that. I ran clinics for the military on three continents and in addition to scrubbing into cranio-facial/maxllio-facial procedures, I was a phlebotomist for our out-patient procedures, so I know. In and out in 25-30 minutes with efficient procedures gets the fifth star FOR THE OFFICE AND JUST THE LOCAL OFFICE. The blood draw was done on the 17 June 2020. The DNA specialty testing was to find if I was allergic to a proposed chemo-therapy drug, as one had already nearly killed me. The results were promised by the 25th. The results were not available and I called. They apologized and said the results would be available on the 26th. The 26th came and my oncologist called and asked why I had not gone in for this test. I sent him a copy of my receipt to show him I had. Another call and a promise the results would post over the weekend. Results do not post to the LabCorp patient portal for 48 hours, to give your doctor time to review and intercede with you. However, all of my doctors participate in some kind of patient portal of their own and while I cannot have access to the results, I'm informed immediately when something new shows up. At this point, I had to cancel an appointment (I am working with six different specialists) because they needed the results for our consultation. Monday the 29th came and no results available. I had to cancel two more appointments. The first tier person I spoke to was nonchalant about my urgency for the results. A transfer to a manager had her tell me she would track things down about the delay and call in an hour. NO CALL. Five and a half hours later, I had to call her to check her progress. She had no answers about the results, saying she was the lab to post results by the end of the business day. No further contact and it is the morning of 30 June 2020 and I am at square one speaking to another manager trying to work her system to find out about the results. I have to cancel another two appointments because the results are needed for other staging (imaging) consultations as well. This will be just the beginning of cancelling the 18 appointments made from now until mid September. I have an oncologist, a radio-oncologist, three specialty surgeons, and a gastro-interologist on my care team. I have been treated at fifteen locations up and down the SF Peninsula. In this Covid 19 environment, it is a disaster to have to reschedule treatment because of so few openings. The lack of timely results has cascaded to so many cancellations in the next few weeks that it puts me between stages of care without the ability to move forward. Since I desperately want to live, this is a problem. I could have gone to UC Davis or Sacramento for the testing. I am in no shape to drive, but if I had any idea LabCorp was so careless, I would have rented a mobile home and had a friend drive me. Negative five stars for corporate part of LabCorp. read more

I have always used this lab because it's conveniently located next to my doctors office. I recently had to go in to do a prenatal diabetes test and the Asian woman behind the desk could not have been more rude. She stood up and put her hand out motioning for my insurance card and paperwork. She then needed a copay so I gave her my card and asked for a receipt and she rolled her eyes and handed me the receipt. I didn't think that was an unreasonable ask and since she barely spoke I wasn't sure what was going on. She handed me the drink and told me to come back in an hour and they would draw the blood. I returned after my appointment and sat in the lobby until my time. The other lady working that morning was very sweet and came and got me and said "it's still a little early but let's take you back and get everything ready." As I walked in the back to sit in the chair I was shocked to see the other girl that had help me originally sitting in one of the chairs with her feet up playing on her iPhone, headphones in her ears. Clearly working hard! She snapped at the other woman helping me that it was not time to take my blood yet, to witch the nice woman responded that she knew, she was just getting me ready. Around that time another patient came in so the Asian girl went to help them and I luckily didn't have to deal with her again. While I love the location and ease of using this lab, if I walk in again and see that girl working I will take the extra time to go to another lab. I've never had to do a drug-test for a job before, so after my interview, they gave me some papers to take to this location. I walked in a little at odds... 1) Walked in and the lady behind the desk (the one in the scrub, not lab coat) was busy texting on her phone, so I waited. She then tells me to tear a paper off that I had, and I gave it to her. 2) She mumbled something about a purse, pocket, lock and key. 3) I had to ask "what" 4) She then points to a lock box of sorts on the counter next to her and I get that I'm suppose to put it away and lock i taking the key with me 5) I was given directions of which stall, no flushing... I came back out confused with where to put my ''sample" on which counter because she mumbled again as I stepped out of the restroom. 6) I repeated "what?" 7) Then I was pointed to another counter I didn't even know existed around a corner because it was behind her desk. 8) signed, initialed repeat 2 more times. ... This must be normal for them because the one in the labcoat didn't seem to notice how the lady in the scrub was working like.... very unprofessional. read more

It was a bad experience to visit the LabCorp in this location. Two ladies were keeping talking their own business as if I was not there. I was wondering I was in a party room or in a lab. Cannot believe they treat patients like this. read more

Been to LabCorp many times in several locations. Today was not a good experience. Had my paperwork from my Dr. but needed the address of LabCorp near me. Pulled up Yelp and found the address of one on National in Los Gatos where I had gone before. Get there and without signage I wandered around - No LabCorp. Went into a GeneticsLab on the ground floor and she told me LabCorp had moved. She gave me the new address. Get in my car and drive to that address, BUT No LabCorp. Asked in another office and assistant gave me a new address. 45 minutes later I found the LabCorp office near Good Samaritan Hospital. No signage anywhere to update the Yelp address! As I was checking in I mentioned to the staff that they should update the address provided online by Yelp. Got a backlash of "You should have gone to OUR Webpage!" Curt, Loud, Defensive, not pleasant. I was a little rattled when I was called in for my blood test. The Technician was WONDERFUL; she sensed my tension, asked why I was upset, understood my problem and had me laughing before the test was over.
