Excellent service and explained things well. She even told me I could call her after hours to if I had any questions.

Since my primary Obgyn was not available, I made an appointment to see Dr.Adrouny earlier this year and specifically asked if I would be seeing the doctor. I was told yes. When I showed up (with my husband), I was seen only by the PA (not the doctor) and she was not experienced and unhelpful. She couldn't answer my questions and repeatedly kept saying "I'm not sure, I'll have to check/research." The entire appointment felt like a waste of time. This is unacceptable and it feels dishonest. I was misled, got no helpful information, and walked away with none of my concerns addressed. I will absolutely not be returning and do not recommend this practice to anyone looking for real, professional care.

I did not feel comfortable with the get in get out method that a lot of traditional OBs or hospital offices have and really felt holistically cared for in this office. The midwives are connected to and well regarded by other Perinatal professionals in the community (chiropractors, Doulas, PTs). I knew I wanted a low intervention birth, and was looking for midwifery style care, but also wanted to deliver in a hospital and this was the perfect scenario. In the delivery room, I really would have trusted all four midwives and knew that they always had my well-being in mind.

I am a first time mom, healthy overall physically/mentally, and was seeking a low intervention and unmedicated birth. I started my pregnancy with a well regarded OB in Palo Alto. During my time there I hadn't even met my doctor and was not given more than 5 minutes per appointment. It was impersonal and not a fit, so I decided to change practices and make the long drive (I live in Redwood City) to BAM. My first appointment with BAM was night and day and continued that way through my entire pregnancy. Every midwife is professional, knowledgable, and kind. They all care deeply for their patients and take as much time as needed to discuss questions or concerns. After each appointment I'd receive notes with follow ups, and if I ever had any additional questions I could easily message them and they'd reply so quickly. I felt secure and supported leading up to my delivery. If there was ever a decision to be made, (ex. vaccines, GBS treatment, due date) the options were discussed in an evidence-based conversation without judgment and completely empowering me to make the decision - I was NEVER pushed into any medical intervention. In fact, when I had concerns over something, Lin called me on her day off to help. This is what I mean by exceptional support and care. During my delivery in Feb 2023, I was supported by Lin, Danielle, and my doula Tara Gomez. I had a long and challenging labor but ultimately was able to deliver my baby girl safely, without an epidural. I owe this completely to the care and support I was given. I am convinced, had I given birth with a traditional OB, I would have experienced many more interventions and would not have been able to deliver naturally. The entire experience was incredibly empowering! Lin is the best of the best in this field, being a midwife for over 40 years and delivering over 7,000 babies. I am just one of those numbers, but I will never forget the level of expertise she brought to my baby's birth. Regardless of where I live in the Bay Area, I plan to come back to BAM for any future pregnancy. I cannot recommend this practice more and I am SO grateful for these midwives and this practice. I trust them wholeheartedly and wish more women could have this type of prenatal/delivery experience!

That said - When I found out I was pregnant, my friend recommended Dr.Fierro. He was her doctor and a referral from her sister in law. She kept raving about him and how he wasn't just like any doctor in a big hospital like Kaiser, etc. So we decided to meet him and go from there . Our first meeting was a surprise to me . We sat down in his office and Dr.Fierro just got to know us. Gave us a little bit of his background, talked about his family, and asked us about our life. He's very family oriented which is great. I loved that. He mentioned it was a private practice so that allowed him to get to know his patients on a personal level and I agree 100%. We were very comfortable and he was very thorough. Every appointment was helpful and he made sure to answer any questions we had . When the time was closer - he went through all the options on delivery. Very respectful of your decision and not biased in any way. Honestly, I wouldn't have any other doctor . We are extremely thankful to have met someone who loves his job and takes care if his patients. The staff especially Luz is amazing . Overall a great experience. Highly recommend!!

I thought long and hard about leaving this review and I came to the conclusion that it is necessary…read morefor the public to know the amount of negligence that I was treated with by Angela Pollard. Please do not use her as your doctor. I was a high risk pregnant woman. I have diabetes and I've had it since I was a child. I took care of my pregnancy excellently. Gave myself insulin at the proper times. I ate healthy and was in the nondiabetic A1C range when I gave birth. The doctors (Pollard and MFMs included) recommended an induction at 39 weeks. For me, the 39th week landed on a holiday. Please read closely and read all of it (there are 3 parts--the delivery, post delivery, & final thoughts and research). I know. It is a long story, but worth the read if you are planning on giving birth with her. She basically neglected me when I really needed her. DELIVERY: To induce labor, Pollard had me do 2 rounds of cervidil. After the second round, I was dilated and she broke my water. She started me on pitocin at 11 am and the contractions kicked in. By 5 pm I was fully dilated and contractions were coming in regularly as they should. A nurse came in and had me start pushing. All signs indicated that I needed to give birth at that moment. The nurse told me she will be right back. She is going to call Angela Pollard to come and we are ready to get this baby out. The nurse came back in a few minutes and said that Angela Pollard is having dinner with her kids and she will come in 30 minutes (WTF?). So they put a peanut balloon between my legs and had my husband rock me side to side laying down. We did this for THREE HOURS! She finally came in at 8 PM and my baby was born in 40 minutes. When Pollard came in, she announced to my family, "I am sorry I am late. I was having dinner with my family." POST DELIVERY: My son was born and she stitched my up. In that moment, she noticed fresh red blood. She undid the stitches and found a piece of retained placenta in my uterus. So I immediately started hemorrhaging. I was in miserable pain. The kind of pain that terrorizes you and doesn't leave you. You'll remember this pain forever--that kind of pain. So she went into my uterus and manually removed the placenta. She couldn't stop the bleeding so she had to use a bakri balloon, which is a balloon they inflate inside your uterus to put pressure on the wound where the bleeding is coming from. She gave me methergine and was finally able to put a stop to the bleeding. During the bleeding, I saw the janitor come in and mop my blood right off the floor. It made me sick to my stomach. SICK. I was given a few blood transfusions the next two days. I had lost SO MUCH BLOOD. She came in the following morning at 5 am and talked to me about my appearance. She told me my lips were pale and she asked me to open my palm up. She observed and explained how white it was. She explained how much blood I had lost and what happened. She handed me a booklet about the bakri balloon. FINAL THOUGHTS & RESEARCH After doing research, I found that pitocin is an incredibly dangerous drug. Its use is widespread despite the amount of trauma it brings with it. I also found research indicating that if you are on pitocin for an extended amount of time, then the chances of having a retained placenta increase. My placenta was partially retained. Some of it came out whereas some of it still remained. This is all due to the fact that she kept me on pitocin for an extra 3 hours while she had dinner with her family. With each minute she spent with her family having dinner (and neglecting me), pitocin was damaging my body. She is awful. I have no regrets in posting this. DO NOT USE HER AS YOUR DOCTOR. SHE IS NEGLIGENT AND SHOULD HAVE HER MEDICAL LICENSE TAKEN AWAY. GOOD NEWS I am still diabetic. I was able to go on and have a second pregnancy. I DID NOT go back to Angela Pollard. Instead, I found an amazing doctor and I gave birth unmedicated to a beautiful second baby. I was a high risk pregnant woman again, still managing my diabetes. But second time, I refused to artificially induce a birth. Baby came on her own. Labor was 1 hour. I pushed for 20 minutes. Done!

DO NOT GO TO HER IF YOUR PREGNANT WITH TWINS, she does not know what she's doing…read more  Dr. Yun is the worst Dr. I have ever seen, and I would NEVER recommend this doctor to anyone for multiple reasons. Her care was highly neglectful, very impersonal, and she just came off as cold, and rushed.  I recently went through a twin pregnacy and had a horrible experience with Dr Yun. She was either uncompassionate or just not knowledgeable. Her plan was to have me work until 36 wks, which is normal for a single pregnancy when full term is 40 weeks, but with a twin pregnancy full term is considered 37 weeks, which I had no idea because my Dr. NEVER even told me this. On numerous occasions I went to her because towards the end I was experiencing pregnancy induced sciatica and carpal tunnel, as well as blood pressure issues that actually developed into preeclampsia, when I went to her with my issues she ignored my concerns and still planned to have me work until 36 weeks. It was actually another Dr. in the practice that felt it was time she talk to Dr Yun about putting me on maternity leave. I Ended up giving birth at 36 wks 2 days, and when I went to the hospital my Dr. at the time (Dr. Yun) was oncall, and she never even came into my room the entire time to say hi or even check on me.  Besides this, there were numerous other things, such as addressing me as ibuprofen in a email correspondence, it's not a big deal but just another example of the impersonal service I received, she couldn't even take the time to get my name right.  If you are PAMF pt. Looking for an ob Dr. At the Los Gatos location, I  would recommend Dr Neacsu, she is amazing.
