This time I was seen within minutes. I gave the co-pay and she took my blood. The used a thick rubber band to take my bloodwork. After that phone call, Gwen came out and essentially yelled at everyone saying how appointments are precedent over anyone else however, there were people there in the waiting room with appointments. They had been waiting well over 45 minutes past their appointment time. When Gwen called me back to the room finally she was very cold rude unfriendly and just looked extremely angry to be there. This is someone that takes a needle to you. I don't think she should be we working with people.

About five people were in the waiting room when I arrived, which led me to believe that I might be waiting awhile, but that wasn't the case. I signed in at the kiosk and sat down to wait. I think I might have been in the chair for thirty seconds when "Kayla" called me. She was professional and pleasant. I'm one of those people with needle anxiety, so Kayla's no nonsense approach to get me in and out of there quickly helped a lot with my anxiety. Wow, she is a pro at it, finding the right "spot" easily (not usually the case for me) and with an accurate aim. Yep, it hurt a little, but not the worst I've ever had. I hate it when they try to put you at ease, I guess, so they chat with you while they casually go ahead setting things up and then they talk with you, telling you you're going to feel a little "stick" etc. I'm always thinking - shut up with the small talk and get this over with! Kayla was just the right fit!

The next day, knowing I had to fast 8 hours beforehand, knew that a 12:30pm appointment wasn't going to work. I knew they accepted walk ins, so I decided to get there at 9am. I checked in and the kiosk said I had a hour wait. That was way better than waiting until my original 12:30pm appointment. Twenty minutes later, I was called to the front desk and doubled checked my information. I was instructed to go to examine room 1 after filling up the "cup". I was so excited to get in early, I forget to leave my cup in the room. I was questioned why I was caring around a cup of urine. After a few laughs, Amber and her trainee drew my blood. Both were very friendly and a pure joy to work with. The fast and friendly service will make me come back to the Wentzville location.

The people at the front desk, the registration people, the nurses, doctors, technicians, etc, have all been great! It's also very clean - it's a nice building. The only problem I've ever had here was at the lab. I had an appointment and walked into a fairly full waiting room. Not all of those people had appointments, but they were still being called before me. There's no one to talk to about it. There's no front desk and they keep the door locked so you can't find a person to talk to. I waited until they opened the door to call someone else in and ran up and inquired as to when I might have my turn and they acted like I was rude. It was already 30 minutes past my appointment. I have found that a number of Mercy labs aren't great. But that's what my insurance covers, so I'll keep going! But I do love everything else about this facility!
