Generally you aren't headed here on a fun trip, our visit was no different. There are tons of urgent cares in the area. I picked this one because I drove by recently and the building looked very new, I knew where it was, it was covered by our insurance and because of the Yelp reviews and that someone said they were good for kids. I went to the light and came around back of the CVS this is really the easiest way to get in. We showed up before the doors were unlocked. We were the first people in line. In the first 10 minutes on a Saturday they had about 6 other walk ins. They seemed to handle the rush well. The office staff was prompt and professional. The nurse was very kind, patient and gentle with an upset kid who was in pain. We had to have x-rays. Our x-ray person was also top flight and did great with the situation. We saw Dr. Powers who was awesome. We saw him very quickly after all that he read the x-rays and assessed us. Ultimately just based on the age of the patient and severity transferred us to children's. He said he could/would take care of us but that they were more geared for what we needed. We went to a pediatric emergency room and even though he talked to them on the phone and sent the x-rays and paper work over it took them 4 hours and calls to several specialists to come to the same conclusion he came to cake to in 15 minutes. Ultimately he was correct we needed the resources to treat the situation in someone so young they had and it was the right choice and they did an excellent job. Based on Dr.Powers professionalism and opinions and his excellent staff, nurses and technicians. St. Luke's will be our first stop for all future urgent care! I can't thank them enough.

I have been to this building many times over the years. I've had imaging done (CT, MRI, Bone…read moreDensity), mammograms and colonoscopies here. I've always had a good experience. The people at the front desk, the registration people, the nurses, doctors, technicians, etc, have all been great! It's also very clean - it's a nice building. The only problem I've ever had here was at the lab. I had an appointment and walked into a fairly full waiting room. Not all of those people had appointments, but they were still being called before me. There's no one to talk to about it. There's no front desk and they keep the door locked so you can't find a person to talk to. I waited until they opened the door to call someone else in and ran up and inquired as to when I might have my turn and they acted like I was rude. It was already 30 minutes past my appointment. I have found that a number of Mercy labs aren't great. But that's what my insurance covers, so I'll keep going! But I do love everything else about this facility! I request it for most things I have to have done, and will continue to do so!

We have had nothing but very positive experiences with this location for minor healthcare needs…read morethat couldn't wait until our doctor's office or pediatrician was open or available to see us. Examples of reasons we've gone here are strep throat, ear infections, swimmers ear, and sinus infection. We were properly diagnosed, we were seen at the time we expected (not a long wait if we walked in, seen within 5 minutes of appt time if we made an appt prior to coming in), ans it was very convenient to be able to pick up our prescriptions right there. Definitely recommend! I have gone to another chain pharmacy that offers medical visits and have never received this level of care. (The other location even sent me home after missing a pneumonia diagnosis & telling me I just needed to "let the cold run it's course." The other pharmacy has also mixed up prescriptions that would've killed or harmed our unborn child. Thankfully, we caught it ourselves at home.

Moving to the midwest I've slowly developed some allergies and in time, they've become more and…read moremore bothersome. Recently, I developed an adult onset asthma which have been added to my list of life's wonderful inconveniences. After a talk with the PA at my PCP's office (my doctor was very busy when I started having a hard time breathing and had no openings for 3 weeks) but we came to a conclusion that I might benefit from a visit to an allergy specialist. She had 2 recommendations but Dr. Margolis is the closest one. I called the office a few days later and the person on the phone had informed me that their earliest opening wasn't going to be in another 8 days, however, since I wanted to do the allergy testing/consultation, it was decided that we should schedule 14 days after I stopped taking any allergy pills. The day I called was my last and in early September, I came in for my allergy testing. I had 50 on my back to which only a few showed some slight reaction so they tested 12 on my arm. They determined I have indoor and outdoor allergies, year-round and seasonal. Dr. Margolis did not push me to commit to immunotherapy. She gave me some informational pamphlets and asked to try 1 month with some suggested changes at home/my environment. She also prescribed a daily medication which I took for 1 week but ended up giving it up due to some side-effects. When I decided to start my immunotherapy, I felt I was better informed as to what I am getting myself into. She had provided some literature to take home so I can decide whether or not immunotherapy is right for me. I started only last week. She made sure to explain a lot of things about the therapy, how long each visit will take and gave me an estimate of when I might see some progress. She is very knowledgeable in her field and she has treated me really well since Day 1. Her office staff are very nice. They have always been kind, helpful and respectful. They made confirmations with my insurance regarding my coverage and asked me to re-verify before starting my treatment which was nice so I don't end up with a surprise bill. This is probably the least scary visit to a doctor's office for me and I don't mind having to be here once or twice a week for a year or so. There is a convenient 2-level parking garage attached to the building so you don't even have to worry if you didn't bring change with you!

I was nervous due to the other review, but my nerves were unfounded. I got in EARLY - 5 minutes before my scheduled appointment. When does that ever happen? The nurse/receptionist was very jovial and friendly - big guy with a goatee. He made little jokes and conversation with me throughout the skin pricking business - which helped a lot. Dr. Margolis herself was nice and spent plenty of time with me. She even took time to plug in a space heater to make sure I was warm enough since I would only be wearing a gown during the testing. She also asked me about myself and made friendly conversation. Very nice personality. Overall, I am really glad my doctor referred me to Dr. Margolis. It's too bad the other person had a bad experience, but it may have just been an "off" day in the office. I had a great experience!
