I had an appointment at 10:45 am for the Lombard location. Easy and plentiful parking. There were 3 people in the waiting area when I walked in, so it was pretty empty. No one was at the front desk, but I saw the signs asking people to check in using the touchscreen device at the desk (one at counter height and the other was at wheelchair height.) If one was not tech savvy they might be confused by checking in this way vs talking with a person. My doctor wanted a specific blood test, but Quest no longer does that one. I thought it would be a wasted trip here, but Sarah investigated what they currently do and found the closest match, called my doctor's office and let them know that while they didn't do the ordered test, they could do a similar test. Sarah faxed the info to my doctor's office, then called few minutes later to get authorization. I so appreciated this extra effort on Sarah's part, especially because she was supposed to clock out at 11! (I had visions of sorry, we don't do that test anymore. End of visit) Sarah does a great venipuncture and I didn't even feel it when she changed the collecting tubes. Facility (Lombard location): Staff Patient Care 5/31/2019 - just got out of another blood draw. Seamless check in with the QR code. Arrived a few minutes before my appt at 8:30 am; called back soon after and was done/out the door by 8:31 am. Maia is a wonderful tech! Hardly felt the venipuncture, and did not feel it at all when she changed vials. Lobby and back rooms were clean. Excellent experience overall. read more

Attached photos show 3places where Quest attempted to draw my blood. The attitude of the manager was poor to say the least. My visit was at 3pm on 9-13-19. Their style digging for the veins borders on barbaric. Due to my illness I have to have blood drawn quite frequently, this is the worst I have ever experienced. read more

Very upset ! Went in this morning and I was struggling to find my confirmation code and this woman named Gloria wouldn't help me . Until this nice staff member helped me. Gloria said "don't help her , why are you touching that Mexicans phone it might be dirty. " people like Gloria should not be working in this type of setting . Also when I was leaving Gloria had her surgical mask on her chin not covering her nose and mouth . Very unprofessional , unethical and rude . read more

Took a chance and arrived on a Tuesday morning at 7am at the Lombard location without an appointment and was out in less than 20 minutes. The ipad check in is a breeze and probably faster than a manual check-in. Anyone that can use a cell phone should have no problem with it. The staff were friendly and the blood draw was expertly done and no more than a pin prick. I have been to this location a number of times now and always had a good experience. The premises are seem very clean and tidy. There is TV but no magazines in the waiting area - maybe a good hygiene choice as such magazines are probably loaded with bacteria. If TV is not for you, bring your own reading material. read more

I'm sure everyone deals with blood work differently. If your like me with rolling veins then you probably get anxious when your appointment is up. The first appointment this year I had a tech who has an amazing personality and a skill that is priceless. She must be one of the youngest in the group but her confidence not only puts you ease but gets the job done first try. Today my experience with another tech wasnt pleasant. She poked me in both arms and was digging. Then she said she will get someone else. I remembered Melody. I switched rooms and guess what , Melody was able to strike on the first try again. I'm very thankful and grateful. 5 stars is because of her. Thank you Melody ! I hope you presue your career but please stay part time lol. read more

Very quick and efficient. Suggest making an appointment online. Plenty of parking and much nicer Quest than the one in Ventura.

I would expect the front desk customer service to be as pleasant as possible when they are telling a whole waiting room full of people that their computers are down and have been for TWO Weeks! NO reason for TWO weeks of inefficiency! I don't mind waiting for my turn, what i mind is the childish and rude attitude of the young man at the front desk (Sal). I sat for 1 hour and 20 minutes and watched several people with out appointments that came in AFTER me go in before me. When I asked how much longer, he went to another room, found my paper work (he had already said they were manually inputting records in the system in another room) he said I was next! Made a loud excuse about people with appointments came first (duh) and the others that they were taking in before me were "drop offs" (really? because they were in the rooms and NOT coming out). At 9:10...the man at the desk loudly proclaimed...oh, 3 more appt.'s just came in, now you are behind them! The lady next to me had a 9:15 appt and he said to her.....I will take YOU first (It was 9:10) When I was finally called in, after a 2 hour wait, I was in and out in 3 minutes! Again, I don't mind waiting my turn...but I do expect this lab to have functioning equipment and not be broken down for 2 weeks and I expect descent customer service and NOT rude and sarcastic attitudes! read more

Do NOT allow Gloria to draw your blood, especially if you are nervous at all or have to lie down due to previously passing out during a blood draw. She is dismissive and passive aggressive. She caused me pain *during the draw* and I had to have her stop because she couldn't figure out how to stop the pain. WONDERFUL, PATIENT Nicole had to come in and try to complete the draw. Gloria hadn't even given her enough vials, and started talking over me when I tried to talk with her. I've sent several messages to Quest requesting a manager call me, or I will walk back in there early next week to talk with a supervisor or lead in person. I cannot imagine being a person who hadn't had many blood draws in the past or someone who had never had blood drawn and having this disagreeable person "take care" of me--she surely did not. Previously, no problem with this location. I just let the phlebotomist know my history, and they make sure I'm comfortable. Nicole did a wonderful recovery given the circumstances. read more

I've been here several times, and have never experienced the rude woman, or any of the other complaints. As a matter of fact, I've had only good experiences at this location. The trick: go as early as possible, wear a smile on your own face, and people will reciprocate. All of the locations in this area are slow if you don't have an appointment, and wait until all the other non-appointments arrive before you ;) read more

My husband previously visited this place on a Saturday morning without appointment because he didn't know he had to have one on Saturdays to be assisted. They made him wait over 20 minutes even though no one was in the waiting room. and were extremely rude to him. The girl that helped him was rude and scolded him for showing up without an appointment. Then they got mad for not having the doctors orders even though the doctor told my husband that he would electronically submit all the information. When my husband told them this they said they didn't care and whatever the doctor said wasn't accurate. Apparently a lobotomist knows more then a doctor. I will never go to this office again. They are a textbook example of what unprofessionalism is. read more

I had made an appointment for this location and, my husband had arranged to take a day off work due to my recent back surgery , it has been difficult for my physically to get around town. I walked in, signed in 10 minutes later I was told by the receptionist "the computer" is telling her to collect my past due balance of 20 dollars, I had explained to her I did not have the funds available, (Im getting paid from the state disability and They have not yet paid me, as most people with disabilities know, the funds received from state are less than half of what you get from a regular works pay check), so it has been difficult managing finances as well due to my disability. It upsets me to know providers should not be doing this, and being that I work for a insurance company, I will never ever refer any patients to this provider ever! There inconsiderate and showed no empathy towards a patients circumstances, it truly disgusting. read more

They are always busy so make an appt if you can. The lady at the front desk isn't rude I think she does her job very efficiently. She speaks loudly probably because she has to for a lot of the patients in there. She does repeat lots of personal information in the waiting room so if you don't want your 1st and lady name, bday, address and whether you're able to "pee in a cup" announced to the whole room you better tell her when you first walk in or give her a note. Also have your insurance cards ready because even if you come day after day you still need to show them. The phlebotomists working there are excellent and very sweet. Don't lose heart if the waiting room is crowded - the lineup moves very quickly. read more

The Quest personnel at the Lombard location were so helpful today. The receptionist met us at the door (outside), took our temperatures, checked us in on the computer, and gave us each a visible identifier that indicated we had been assessed. Then we went in and found our chairs and waited to be called for the procedure. The wait was about 4 minutes and we followed the staff to the procedure room. Evidently the orders for the lab tests had not been faxed to this site and could not be located as faxed to any Quest Lab. The lab tech called the doctor's office to have the orders faxed to the Lombard Lab. At no time were we treated like we were wasting their time. The doctor's office was having difficulty finding the orders from our Zoom appointment. After 20 minutes we canceled the appointment with the lab. and drove home to follow up with the doctor's office. The staff at the Lombard site were great and treated us with respect. We will return to this site as our preferred lab. read more

If I could give a zero I would. There is no staff at the desk & if someone comes out & you try to ask a question, they are rude & then just walk off. They must make a lot of money from people who need their services, but if I had an alternative I would take it. read more

My Husband walked in on a Saturday without an appointment ( didn't know he needed one ) and was told he needed appointments on Saturday only . He explained he didn't know that and has waited a few minutes already and had already tried to go to another quest lab on 7th street earlier in week and had waited over 55 minutes and hadn't even been called up to desk to get checked in. Without hesitation Gloria told my husband it was ok and she would see him right then and there .Within 15 minutes he had his blood drawn and was in his way out .Gloria was super nice and helpful and totally understanding.definitely would go back to that location again.(with an appointment of course this time if It was on a Saturday ) :) read more

This branch is unbelievably slow. I have visit the one over at 7th street here in Oxnard and I must say that despite the short staff service was very quick and efficient for me considering the fact that I was on my lunch hour. No sense of customer service lady in the from had an answer of "we will get to you when we get to you" my appointment was set for 1145am with an arrival time of 5 minutes before also considering that the basic information was provided on their online portal. It is now 12:15 with about 2 Patients waiting ONLY. I have not ate and they are in the back talking away as if we need this. Let's get to work people!!! read more

I can't even give this place 1 star. Horrible service!! actually no service at all! You check yourself in on a computer with no front desk person assisting. I just needed to pick up something and no one even acknowledged my presence. will never use quest again!!!!! read more

staff was very friendly and great. i took my 13 month old baby today and no wait at all. we got lucky. we went after lunch.

Visit was fine. I felt more like a document that needed to be processed and pushed out. No connection or interaction whatsoever from staff. No explanation on what is going on from the moment you walk in to the labs to the moment you're officially done. Clients are left to figure it out themselves. Also who designed the terrible check in process?! What happened to human interaction? That iPad is only saving the company money but what about what makes the client feel cared for and treated humanely? I witnessed 2 clients struggle to use the iPad because of a language and age barrier. This type of system isn't suited for this environment. The staff had no idea how to help the clients and kept saying "sorry I cannot help you", leaving clients to figure it out themselves. If it wasn't for other clients in the waiting room willing to help out those who cannot figure this system out then there would be many clients wasting their time, feeling uncared for, shown that they are unimportant and being shown no mercy for their situation. Quest diagnostics I am incredibly disappointed in how you decided to select a robot system to showcase the first impression of your business. The moment you walk in to an establishment your impression and experience is based on that. The client experience should be easy simple and friendly; your iPad check in system is exactly the opposite. I understand that the world is changing and so is technology but there is particular settings where that type of behavior is acceptable and this is certainly not one of those environments. If I had another choice for somewhere else to go with a human check in experience I would direct myself and others there instead. Make this right quest diagnostics. read more

I called up to ask if they were busy at 7:30 in the morning. The answer was no not if you come in now it will be ten to fifteen minutes. Had she had told me the truth about the 16 people who were ahead of me upon entering their office, I would not have gone in without an appointment (there were only two people out of the sixteen before me with appointments as I was told by the receptionist). I asked for my insurance card to be returned and the girl did not want to give it to me. She said, "let me get someone to talk to you." I said, "No, give me my card. I also told her I taught Customer Service as a professor in Santa Barbara, and to treat people this way is unethical, unkind, and unprofessional. I will never go to a Quest facility with knowledge again." I walked out and went to the outpatient facility at Saint John's Hospital where I was treated with dignity, respect, and courtesy. I had thirteen vials of blood drawn with no pain. I cannot imagine what it would have been like had I been taken in at Quest. They did me a favor...or the universal force did as I have never had a better experience of blood being drawn as at St. John's hospital. read more

This place is so slow. The only reason I went here was because my doctor sent me here. It shouldn't take an hour be seen.

Very rude receptionist, spoke to my husband like a child who had done something wrong. Told him "Saturday's are appointment only, it says it on the paperwork! I can put your name down, but can't guarantee how long it will take or if you will even be seen, were very busy today" When he asked her to show him where, she couldn't find it, then said "Typically it says it". Amazingly, 5 minutes later we were seen. read more

Whether or not you make an appointment you will most likely have a long wait time. Very often they are short on techs that draw blood. Be aware of the desk clerk that looks like The Penguin from Batman but with purple hair. Always in a bad mood! And she handles every one by order of them signing in and disregards appointments. Snotty when dealing with people. She acts like you making her do her only job of checking people in is the end of the world. read more

I would to say I WILL NEVER go to this place as long as I live. The workers are horrible, they have last my blood samples time after time. The main boss I think they have 2 of them named Thelma or Carmen as for the rest of them they need to do the same. I have requested to have Laurie to draw my Blood. Every time I get her my stuff isn't lost nor do i have to come back a second time to get drawn. Laurie should become the Big Boss of this location not anyone else. I if you need to go to this location go see Laurie no one else trust me. read more
