Maywood acres is the best place I could've gone after my complete knee replacement. There are too…read moremany names to list that made me have quality care and a AMAZING experience. If you are lucky enough to have John and Elizabeth as your nurses, they truly care and have concern about your well-being. They would ask the basic questions then went deep into my feelings and how I was being cared for. if I had something come up they made sure to make sure it was fixed before they left. They were also very meticulous on how they gave meds to make sure they were on time and see if one medication conflicted with the other. One BIG thing for me they DO NOT have air-conditioning. After finding this out, I was ready to leave. John and Linzy talked me into staying by going over the pros and cons of a transfer. I got a personal fan that worked perfectly for the temperature I needed to stay comfortable. Cecilia gave me my showers, I'm a big girl. I didn't think she was gonna be able to handle me, but she did it all on her own never asked for help. In the end, I was super clean no complaints. When it came to my physical therapy Andrea, Bruce,Thade, and Aldrin all pushed me to make my goals. This was not a babysitting job for them. When it comes to pain, I normally given until I hope it passes. But these guys wouldn't let me slide. They kept me on my toes. They made sure I moved every day and challenge me when I hit my mark to go a little bit more. it was like learning how to walk all over again. I love them for that. The food was OK but at the same time they told me they were going to remove all salt from my diet that's the reason I gave the score an 8 instead of a 10 because you know how food taste without salt. Until this day, I'm on a no salt diet because of them I lost some weight from it. I had somewhat of an medicine emergency and the person who stepped up was Juanni the business manager. She went out of her way to get this situation taken care of, she didn't have to take on this responsibility because this was not part of her job description. I Thank you so much Juanni that really meant a lot. As you're being pushed or you're pushing yourself in a wheelchair through the halls of Maywood acres you see nurses, social workers, janitors, and CNA's with mask on, they'll say hello to you by your name. People you never even seen before. it's like a little community. I'm thinking of the show called "CHEERS" when the guy walks in the bar and the people in the bar yell out
N. O. R. M. Lol whoever's reading this may not be old enough to know what that means. Anyway All the staff are nice and catering no questions asked. The bathrooms were OK as far as cleanliness and the rooms were really clean thank you, Ray (the custodian) you did a wonderful job. The rooms and bathrooms are cleaned 1- 2 times daily. You get fed three times a day. I believe lunch and dinner you receive a dessert. if you're not full after you eat lunch or dinner you can always order something on the list. After dinner, later they have snack. This facility is 24 hours, so many times I called for an ice pack and an ice water jug around two or 3 o'clock in the morning, and during the day. They respond fast to your call light and execute the job they've been presented with, with haste. If you're ever blessed to have to come to Maywood acres, these are the people you would want to take care of you, Elizabeth, John, Linzy, Martin, Vicky, Mike, Cecilia, Nathailie, Mayra, Ray, Samantha, Juanni, Andrea, BRUCE, Thade, Jose, Aldrin and Patricia. Last, but not least LINDA. When I had a situation with a staff member, (that happened once) she reported it for me and I got a response from a higher up the very next day. I really only had one problem the rest were situations. As you can see, I like to take names and give flowers when flowers are due. She was my intake lady from the first night she looked out for me. I'm not gonna name all she did but she did a lot and was the biggest reason I love Maywood acres this lady needs a raise. After all the demands I've had I never got an attitude or pushback from any of the staff. I requested it and it was done. I really felt like I was at a resort with my knee pain on the side. Some people might think I'm over exaggerating, but I really feel that way.
A Big, thank you to LINDA, John, and Elizabeth
And a big thank you to Maywood acres for Understanding how to choose your employees
